We drive 3 hrs to Philly once a month as our church took over 6th street mennonite church. We didn't move there but, my husband, along with another brother is the link between the 2 churches. We always look forward to our weekend there!

Not a Mennonite, but clothespins were an almost daily item for me. Growing, up, one of my chores was to hang the clothes out on the lines. We had both types of clothespins -- the spring-loaded ones and the straight ones. Ok, I'm laughing all through your Anthropolgie chat with Josh. "I'd run a marathon..." lol. And the lady with the dog! Josh cracks me up.
That was fun you took the kids. And fun for me as we were just in Philly for the Messiah, and did some of the same things you did. I’m watching this a week late.

I grew up in the suburbs of Chicago. Going “downtown” to see the decorations and store windows was the highlight of Christmas.🎄 My grandma would take me, I even got to miss school for the day. Good memories
I knocked over part of a candle display in Anthropologie in the King Of Prussia mall last Christmas. The sales clerks were super nice about cleaning it up.

My birthday is Jan 5 - so what do you do the week after the holidays? When we lived in Pittsburgh we would spend the day shopping and touring around and eating in Pittsburgh's strip district. ( No not that kind of strip district!!) It where all the products come into the city off trains and trucks and such.There are various shops - Parma sausage - 2 fish shops that have cafes as well, fruits & veggies and the ever famous Primanti sandwiches. The original shop is in the strip. It all started because the truckers needed a sandwich they could eat as they drove, so they made the sandwich with the fries and the coleslaw right in the sandwich. Anyway , we would buy everything to make a special Italian dinner and go home and cook together.
So glad you had a great Birthday doing what you love, shopping of course! Love going into different stores and just looking around even if I don’t buy anything Your glassware you bought was beautiful though! May God bless you and your family!

The stroller collapsing thing was hilarious. Nit sure why, but I had to collapse one for some reason and my other (also childless friend) was there and we worked on that thing for a good 20 minutes, then we found a mother and it took her a few seconds😅 then we practiced and still couldn't get it.
