You and family are beautiful. Do not push to get videos out, a lot of UA-cam channels have been facing some “BURNOUT”. It feels like with this pregnancy more anxious and maybe anxiety. Just take care, do not feel stressed to put out a lot of videos. People will love seeing them whenever. Just please take care of mental health.
I am a Pastry Chef and only use Bourbon Vanilla in all of my baked goods, you will love it! And if you ever get the chance-get some Vanilla Bean Paste! I do use that as well, for certain items-frostings, pastry creams, whipped cream etc. Both of those make everything a little extra special.
Oh my goodness that’s funny. We went to Jim Thorpe a year ago for my husband’s birthday and then stopped at Plum Creek on the way home. I’m now partial to both Plum Creek and September Farm.
I’m pregnant and still using vanilla extract in things like smoothies and drinks. It’s such a minuscule amount it won’t hurt anything. Especially since they say you can have a couple alcoholic drinks a week and not hurt baby (which I personally wouldn’t do)

I like seeing your Lancaster county adventures. My daughters wedding was at the Star Barn in March so I have beautiful memories of the place. Have never been to this event but had a friend come in for it from Florida this year so my daughter and I are thinking maybe we should.

Such a lovely video. We were in PA this past summer on vacation and visited Wind Gap where my fifth great-grandparents are buried (and not too far from Jim Thorpe). It is so beautiful up that way. Hard to believe my family left (they moved out west to MO, but we're in NC now).
Oh my goodness! I grew up near Ott’s! We loved walking through the greenhouse when we were little! As for the mum mountain-there are other plants there at different times of year, so putting it together is an annual affair!
I love seeing all your adventures in the Lancaster area. We used to live in that area and I miss some of those places. I enjoyed seeing how the cows are milked now a days.
We took a trip to Ott's this week. It was beautiful. I saw those Goldfish plants, they are cute. We decided we need warmer houses to keep alot of those beautiful plants alive.

My city offers the Agawa Canyon tour train for fall. In the winter we are known for Sugar Shacks ( Maple Syrup) productions... pancake breakfast etc ..

Being you've been to the Wellsboro Grand Canyon up here in North Central PA I know for sure you passed the place I would suggest in my small hometown Liberty called Martin's Pantry. Super cute mennonite run shop and they sell super good subs and have made ice cream!! Directly off the exit you would take to get off the highway when you're close to about 20 mins away. That would be my suggestion, it's the one I give everyone not from the area and I've yet to meet one with disappointment.

For the vanilla extract, the alcohol is still present fyi :) however, if you're only using a half teaspoon or so in your drink, its not going to harm anything. :)
It is so nice to go to fun places where people handmake their items. Love this seminar too. How wonderful. That place where you talked does look so pretty (with the green gate look). We used to have a dairy farm in my town here in New Jersey (which is a very busy suburban town). There are not many of them in this area at all now (they are more or less an hour away from me on different locations). I remember going to it a few times as a kid to learn about cows, dairy, etc...and I am sad it is gone. My uncle used to work an old-fashioned milk delivery truck service with glass bottles for decades, using this dairy I mentioned, until about ten to fifteen years when they closed down through them too. This reminded me of it. Something in my area that I want people to try. . .There are several things. What types of things to try do you mean? Beautiful video! I loved it.
I love that our kids get to see first hand where their milk, meat, and eggs come from. I think it gives them a new respect for the sacrifice of all it takes for it to get to their plate.
In South Africa we eat biltong which is so much better than jerky but we eat it when pregnant to keep our iron levels up and is a great source of protein. As far as I know they use vinegar to kill any bacteria. Ask your doc
I know every pregnant lady gets too much of unwanted advice (even I’m one and going through the same) but be a little careful with eating/ drinking pineapple. It’s said to induce cramps which may lead to labor. I’m not sure how much of a fact it is but just be careful
Genuine question from Europe (not just to Megan but to anyone who might know): I noticed that in many American church services and similar events there is a singer standing in front, being very much at the center of attention, sometimes even made more visible by a screen like at the women´s conference. We do the opposite (if it is worship as opposed to a concert), singers and other musicians like the organist are usually at the back of the church behind everybody so everyone can focus on worshipping the Lord together rather than admiring an individual´s (or a group´s) musical skills... What are your thoughts on this? I mean no offense, I´d just like to learn about other christians´ thoughts!
Always a treat to watch your vlogs and I am always amazed at all the events you go to and the things you do as a family. I have one wonder, where is your dog when you are out and about as a family? The reason I am curious is because I have a dog and I feel hindered by her. She is not good in crowds so she can't come along to things and that usually means we don't do things because we can't leave her home for several hours each day (she'll go nuts)...
I am a vet tech, not now actually, but was while I was on the Army. They do great if they have a buddy at home with them. Dogs are my nature pack animals. Your dog might like a little buddy. I have a dog that would like to scratch a hole in the door, then I got a cat and she calmed down. There is a short, really good book, The Loved Dog, where they talk about pack animal routine. So y'all are your dogs pack and she feels left out, so get her own pack going. Two dogs can be pricey so I just have a tiny dog. 😂. I feel burdened by my dog too though for overnight trips, so I want to hear how they solve that issue as well.

I live 20 minutes from Ott’s and have for my entire life and have never been there! I’ve driven by many, many times but never stopped.

Every October our city hosts the Balloon Fiesta. To see all the hot air balloons...it's so amazing! It kicks off the season for us.

@@spunkycat6144 We had two but one died in April. She was only 6 years old :( however they couldn't stay home alone more than 2 hours....
