To install them on your katana mkii, the easiest way is to drag the downloaded files to your desktop.
Open up the tone studio with your katana connected and go to the top right corner and click the down arrow. Locate your file and it'll bring it into your library where you can drag them across to the katana :)

Absolute pleasure as always mate. Good to hear Ola giving your channel a plug on his latest Katana video too.
Love seeing Ollie tap his feet to them mean riffs. Pedal sounds great too. Seems like a really great grab and go solution for when you don't know what the backline will look like for jam or a gig.
Loving all those Sepultura riffs. Man what an awesome band.
i can't help but giving a thumb up for the beautiful parrot... 🥰
I just ordered my Empress THANK YOU 🤘🏼 for the demo. Can’t wait
The tones you get out of this thing are so spot on to some of the originals. That is dead on LOG!! Hell yeah brother
All those riffs perfectly played congratulations and the sound is so great
Man that era with max is absolutely mental!! Such riffage!!
Great job, great as always! Hello from Ukraine!
Basically runs the gamut of thrash tones! Awesome!
I could argue that any type of over drive playing Postmodern-Riegn in Blood is going to sound bad ass, it's a combination of riffs that all together make the hammer of metal pound that nail deep into the skull of all things metal lover's.
2:18 I think you spooked the little bird. 😆
Killer pedal tone wow!!Lambchopper678 all the way brother!!
awesome as always. Also cool to see ollie has a new mate.
ooooooh this is a new welcome pedal from Empress. I may have to keep my eyes open for one to try it.
Fantastic video, great playing!! Just got mine but yet to try it out? Playing through a Randall RD100H into a Zilla cabs 2x12 Fatboy, gonna be killer!!!!
Great video, thank you!
Incredible how close!
Thanks to you I'm waiting for a DSL20HR! Please do more videos with DSL. You could try to get the Vulgar Display of Power tone into DSL20.
Greetings from Brazil!
It’s a killer amp mate, one of my all time favorites
Best pedal for VDOP tone is the mxr fullbore I’ve tried them all and thats super close and has that scratchy sound and it’s not expensive.
Well feck, this video just got me a new pedal and Lambchopper678 got him a new subscriber! 🤘Killer fn pedal!
Love the channel!
Last 20 seconds are mint
Great pedal and riffs. Birds are sleepy though. 💯🤘
I'd like to see you demo the Ibanez Pentatone preamp pedal. I can get some great sounds out of it, but you have the magic touch for dialing in perfect tone clones.
Nice Eclectus and Green Cheek.
It sounds like the Torpedo's speaker sims sound better when trying certain tones (Megadeth, Lamb Of God) than with others. I think especially when dialing in Metallica tones with that you always get that Marshall sort of buzz, but a bit more boxed in... Might just be my ears though.
Id love to see you compare this pedal with the chug pedal.... i love metallica but i need a new distortion pedal. I only have a boss ds1 going into my marshall origin 50
That pedal sounds kickass. Especially when you play slayer and megedeth and lamb of god.
Chopper - I know you’re feeling the Love ❤️ we all have for Sepultura !!!!
We who are !!!!- NOT AS OTHERS!!!! And BTW,
I triple dog dare you to cover “Hungry” off Beneath the Remains .
And I’m out ….
Biotech is godzilla. True visionaries
Keep on thrashin'!
Awesome work, as usual. Bloody love it. Which model of Jackson is that? I have the Pro Series V with the Distortion pups. Looks like you have EMGs? Which model is that?
It’s a 2019 KVX, it came with active Jackson pickups but I’ve swapped them out with EMG’s as I had some spare lying around.
It’s an awesome guitar with the carbon reinforced neck rods. Really rich tone
I think all the Pro stuff has the Distortion set in them now. My new Pro RR does as well.
The *source audio* aftershock distortion is supposed to be a modeling pedal for bass but I really think you should check it out and do a review.
Hi, do you think this pedal will give good results in front of a Katana amp (clean channel ?) Ty. Love all your killer tones, espeacialy for the Katana, but all of the. Ty Mr.
Absolutely 👍🏻
Even straight into the fx loop
Sounds fuckin' awesome! Cant wait you buy the studio Silver Jubilee!
Cheers from Portugal 🤘🍺🇵🇹
I’m getting an 800 soon and after I’ll prob get a jubilee 🤘🏻
@@LambChopper678you know you're going to have to do a shootout of all three heads and help give some direction on which head to go with depending on what you're looking for.
LC, not sure if you heard yet, but Ola gave you a shoutout in his last video!
I did mate, Ola’s a dude 👍🏻
What's that third guitar you used. Kinda looks like a Jackson Surfcaster?
Hi mister , me i deconnect my pedals because they produce lot of noise.Guitar direct into Marshall is the best choice for me.
Whats cooler, the riffage he's playing or the pedal?
How would you say this pedal compares to the tones from that real Mesa V you have there on Mark II C+ mode? Sounds like its right there to my ears. Not sure of another pedat that can do the C+ thing convincingly. Whats the in the room feel like?
It’s got a cool tone with loads of control but it’s not trying to emulate the saturation of a boogie. It has its own voice.
Sepultura power !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
What’s the name on the second guitar u pulled out it’s cool
Can you do some Yngvie Malmsteen Tone guide? :)
Why did you remove the mustaine duncan and replaced it with EMGs? in your King v
I tried them out in my Dominion and they suit it better. I’m always trying different tones with them
Lambchopper: what do you honestly think about using this pedal through the front of a high-gain amp such as your Marshall? Does it help the amp's saturation nicely and add nice transistor distortion along with better EQ for chugs --ie. resonant palm muted notes???
It’s a preamp so it’s not transparent like an od that you can run beside an overdriven tone.
It sounds cool through a clean channel
@@LambChopper678 Thanks for saving me time! Nice EQ and noise gate, but the drive is of no use. BTW, do you have a distortion pedal recommendation for a Marshall aside from a RAT and aside from Mad Professor's Stone Grey Drive (I have that one)?
Electric Eye Audio’s Mud Killer 👌🏻
@@LambChopper678 Good idea!
Just when I said I wasn't going to be buying any pedals for a while... LOL... ok, 1 more.
Will I miss out on any functionality if I sell my heavy pedal for the heavy menace?
I don’t really know sorry, I think if you’re happy with your heavy then I’d hold onto it. One thing I learned over the years is to stop selling my gear
Heavy Menace vs Thrasher. Really like my Electric Eye Trasher.
They’re really different. This has a more modern distortion tone like a recto
@@LambChopper678 The HM-Empress sounded really good going right into an IR as well. The Thrasher needs to go through a clean front end of an amp to sound best IMO. It lacks presence if going direct into a power amp or IR I feel.
EDIT: I just realized after watching it 3 times you quickly mentioned it's going into the front of the Boss Katana.
I prefer The Thrasher.
I noticed you're wearing headphones. Is that capturing the live sound through your amp? I've never had much luck using phones, do you have any recommendations on a good set of earphones?
I’ve been playing silently through headphones for so many years that it’s just normal. I don’t like to feel like I’m bothering anybody.
I’ve been using the Roland RH-300’s for about 12 years. Have 2 sets and they both work great with 3 meter cord
@@LambChopper678 May I ask this?? Do you feel that they have a natural feel in terms of a live amp sounds? My issue has always been while listening through head phones the clean sounds are solid as the over driven tones tend to be less than desirable. Almost a clipping or artificial sound to my ears. I was looking into getting some Bayer dynamic 700 for a solution. Keep in mind the phones I use are of the cheaper variety. I always liked how Paul Gilger used headphones during some of his live recordings as I'm wanting to give it a go.
@@nathancloud6344 I too play almost exclusively through headphones, dont skimp out, get yourself a nice set of headphones or in-ear montiors, the sound is damn good. I got myself Sennheiser IE400 Pro Earphones and they are bloody awesome
@@tims3370 thank you much for the reply. My concern has always been for them sounding authentic and true to what's being captured. Cheers!!
@@nathancloud6344 Well I cant comment on how true or authentic it is, I tried using $10 inear headphones and it wasnt bad with the sound, I like the Seinheisers because they are supposed to be 'neutral' in terms of frequencies delivered and I use them for everything between guitar/bass playing through a Scaerlett 4i4 to watching UA-cam or gaming.
These are not cheap and I dont know about where you are from but here its quite difficult to return earphones if you have used them already. For silent playing good inear or overear monitors are an absolute blast to have, I used to use AudioTechnica cup headphones, in summer I get sweaty quite a lot and I found that the sweat builds up on the chassis after a while and then your head will stink of sweat, yuk! hence why I chose for inear, less real estate covered, no sweat issues but full cup of course gives a more fuller sound as background noise is cancelled out.
AudioTechnica ATH-MX50s are great over-ear monitors, cheaper then in-ear Seinheisers.
You would also probably want some sort of Audio interface as well if you plugging into a computer, direct headphone into Hx Stomp or other modellers/amps should work though. Good luck and enjoy!
Well it sounds like a modded metalzone of sorts. But the dude playes justice stuff on a dave mustaine V lol. I mean, awesome!
cool video man! could you try capturing spreading the disease tone?? that one is sick
Is this better to put 9 volts battery for the noise?
There is no noise with this pedal. It’s absolutely silent when you engage the gate
@@LambChopper678 Yes it's perfect.
This pedal is amazing you don't need to worry about power noise with it.
R u using 9v or 12v power
9v
🦜🙉⛔️‼️
Every video I explain that I record silently, I wear headphones so I can hear my guitar
No offense but when you were playing some Metallica riffs in E standard, it looked cursed when you were playing with a Dave Mustaine signature guitar 😂
08:50 -- song name pls??
Descending maybe?
@@kantys2 hm... don't think so? :O

@@Lomni yeahhh! :)
Thanks! :)
@@Lomni Thanks!
Dude. What's with the birds sitting there? Talk about animal cruelty. That really sucks.
I’m sorry you feel that way man. I give them the best life I can. They eat fresh fruit all day and live as part of the family. I’ve had Ollie for nearly 20 years and he loves sitting with me. I can only assume that you think I’m blasting their ears out in the room but I play silently with headphones, they’re never exposed to the raw cabinet. I do state that in the videos but maybe I should explain it at the start.
Great content!!!
okOKok it's on my Wish List now!!!!
