We are in a fortunate position in the Europa League but football has NOT been good enough to watch and needs to massively improve if we are to win the Europa League! Forget the backdrop of Social Media and all the haters we are Manchester United and ought to challenging for trophies! Performance NOT good enough tonight! Beth you have to take into account that it was near impossible to play good football tonight with the way Granada set themselves up whom did nothing but fouling and a ref that chose to turn a blind eye to it.
For their awful game plan and tactics Granada thankfully got punished with a 2-0 defeat.

Rash definitely NOT underrated! Didn't you see him attempt a roulette against 4 defenders 😂 Come on! Our style of play is too deep, it gives him space behind the defenders to run into.... Fortunately he has developed a good awareness regarding the timing of his runs and that has saved us on multiple occasions. I think good coaching can help improve his overall game as he obviously neither lacks intelligence nor technique. I like him with Martial or Greenwood, they are both quick and imo more intelligent footballers which is a good balance.
I think the problem we have is more than the coach. I think all the coaching staff and most of players should not be at man united because there is no rhyme in our play. We depend too much on individual brilliance. No system of play. Players just come in and do their things no tactics at all.
I watched the first half and I couldn’t bring myself to watch the second. Awful football, no tactics, ole out.
At this point, it is better to watch highlights becuase you won't miss much. Terrible brand of football!

Ole knows what he’s doing, he knows how to win games.
When you keep seeing the same lacklustre, static performances, regardless of who plays, you have to look to the coaching staff. Having seen the excitement and quality on show just 24 hours earlier with Bayern v PSG, we're as far away as we were under LVG and Mourinho from playing "the United way".
But was Beth impressed with the streaker's performance?

This performance is almost like a deliberate sabotage. Is the Team trying to force the Board to back Ole in the forthcoming transfer market? I hope so because I actually think it is harder to play this badly on purpose than it is by accident,
Let's hope James Garner is ready to come back and step up to premier league level next season. Hopefully Tuanzebe plays the return leg, if he doesnt get games we will lose him, and he will be outstanding somewhere else getting regular football. Van de Beek hopefully gets a game, but I dont think van de Beek at his best reaches the level Lingard is currently playing at for West Ham. Both lingard and Van de Beek together would be interesting, but we probably would be too lightweight without a Mctominay or Pogba playing. If we score a couple of first half goals in the return leg we should see Diallo get at least a half. Next season we need to somehow get lingard playing for Utd the way he is for West Ham, and give Garner a chance and hopefully Diallo steps up too

Yes, dreadful. Sleep-walking... misplaced passes... no aggression. We won’t get too much further playing like that. Why do we never play balls through the lines or run at the central defense? Greenwood was awful and shouldn’t have made it to the 2nd half. DVDB is again wasted. Diallo gets no chance. Everything goes around the sides and it’s so tedious and predictable.

We play the ball and then walk rather than move to get it back. No movement that is where the problem is. I love luke shaw but last night not once did he went down the line pass an opponent. We take 4 touches per average. Too much.

Who cares if the football's awful? It's the result that's important. Lets criticise the performance when we lose or drop points. SAF's teams grinded out results with poor performances. Beth's not been great in the last few videos. "you can't win a tournament with this style of football". What, really? Resilient, hard to beat and grinding out results?? Magire is able to do this as there's space to run through due to teams sitting back and marking United's midfielders and forwards. Magire is essential unmarked due to posing little risk as a cb. For instance, Pogba could never run forward from deep like Magire without being pressured. At times in the game, Pogba would be closed down by two Grenada players after taking a first touch of the ball.
This season is a fluke next year we will get shown for what we are a mid table club
