Sooner or later the OG will have to sell their vehicles so hopefully they flood the market and you can get them for around 5K making them affordable to build.
@@Moondoggy1941Nahh this mofos be thinking they gonna get everything back of what they put in , they’ll drive it till the wheels fall off and sell it for the same amount they bought it for
Thank you so much for this video!!! I have a Toyota LandCruiser Prado and couldn't find anyone doing a video of the ultraswing on them but the GX is virtually the same car. Can't wait to get one of these on my rig
Looks great and functional. Looking forward to more info on bronzed Lexus logo and cleaned up grill. Mine is painted and needs some TLC. I also have brushed bronze wheels and have thought about bronze color for badging. Thanks for all the inspiration.
I really liked the video Logan. I went with the JWOffroad carrier and the Yakima EXO swingbase/bike carrier combo. Thanks for addressing the pros and cons of each system, true value.
Man a GX pulled up next to me at a light the other day all decked out. I was blown away and confused. My first thought was it was a 4 runner but I saw the Lexus symbol. So I found out what it was and have been binging them here on youtube and man I think I found my next ride. I just sold my Taco bc the value went to high and I need higher towing capacity anyways. Anyways, I'm just blown away at the GX. I feel like I found a unicorn. I had an FJ few years back nd It kind of reminds me with similarities between the two.
Can you do some videos of you taking your mountain bike to some locations and doing some riding? This is the setup I want for my SUV when I get it (I have a Rivian R1S LE on order). I want to do some car camping and hitting different ride locations. I would stay at RV parks to charge at nigh using their RV plugs. I’m a little worried about leaving my bike like that overnight but I would imagine you can probably lock your bike rack. The light you showed is what I was hoping to setup on the outside of the rig with a motion sensor so it would turn on if anyone gets close to the bike.
Really really dig it bro. The -25’s look super comfy, the swing is clean, new lights are sick, and that rear door table is gold! Planning on something for my 4th Gen dual swing out. Would love a table. Really wish I fabbed one out before paint. Killing it Logan. Love the work! 👌 What’s the weight on the new wheels? One of the selling points for the F5’s for me was that light weight. Raptor Liner on the front bumper? That’s what I did. 😂
Hey 👋! Love your videos. Is there a way to get more info on your build i.e. suspension front and rear(LCA, UCA etc), trimming if you did any, bumper info. I have a 2005 GX470 and I will love to make it look similar to yours! Thanks!
Logan, I was wondering if you didnt like the General Grabbers. I was going to go with them on my next install. Nice videos also man. Tell Matt I said Hello. (Youngs custom knives)
I actually have not has a chance to run the general grabbers I just use it as my spare because Matt gave it to me for free haha We both really like Goodyear Duractracs, I also really liked my Mickey Thompson MTZ P3's. Both are light tires which makes it easier on the drive train when running 35's
Thank you! It’s hard to put into words exactly how much to cut but you will need 2.5-3inch lift, adjustable upper control arms so you can max out your caster, body mount chop and then yeah lots of trimming haha
Thanks for the video, I've been looking at one of these for my GX. How big is the gap from the back of the swing to the door? Thats the only thing that is holding me back because the gaps look pretty large but its hard to tell.
It is 10 inches from the back of the door and 6 inches away from my ladder. Going to be modifying it soon here though to bring it closer so I will probably make a video on that.
So I have an 09 gx470 I bought those same rims and am about to purchase 3inch old man emu lift. Will I have to do body mount chops because of the offset of the wheels? I'm new in the gx world any advice would be greatly appreciated!
Great video. I have GX460 with a ladder and planning to add a table on the rear hatch. I was wondering if you had to replace the strut or do anything to the factory hinges.
Would you be able to fit 2 bikes on your bike rack? Is it rubbing with the tire? Thinking of getting one but concerned that my 2 bikes won’t fit. Ty-cool video btw
I just put 35x12.5R20’s on my GX today and it rubs like a mother gonna need to chop it up some more. What are you planning on doing gear wise? I don’t want to cause any damage to my drivetrain as a result of the 35’s.
Thank you! Other then all the rear interior stuff I just have a tablet mount up front, lighting switch panel and seat risers for the front driver seat to help with the angle and a more comfortable seating position.
No rubbing at all now even offroad but I did trim quite a bit of stuff and have over 5 degrees of caster from my upper control arms. The -38 offset before would rub offroad a little bit.
Wondering the same thing. I’m debating having a swing out built or going with the rigd. How close to the back of the truck are you able to get the upright?
Bro that’s to expensive insane price for just the swing you could get a southern style rear off-road bumper with the swing for similar price and it looks much better.
I like this option because I don't have to damage the car by drilling holes. But when you install the tires, it doesn't look straight. It looks like it's a bit tilted. Am I seeing that correctly?
You are correct that is a style option and makes it easier to put the tire on by yourself but I think you can get one where the tire sits perfectly straight as well.
Ran out of money for a good bike rack I see? Just kidding. Awesome rig! As a mountain biker, out of all of the GX videos I've seen, this is by far the most satisfying.
It's funny you mention that, over the last year since making this video I have sold or donated a lot of my stuff. I have found the more stuff I get rid of the happier I am...
I think he referring to the max tow rating for the RigD, not necessarily the tow rating of the vehicle. The multi fit since they fit on other vehicles too are rated up to 10k
Wish I had money to buy and build one of these. This is probably my favorite gx 470 build.

Awesome video review.. did u need to buy a hitch extension for your bike rack?

You have any upper control arms ( aftermarket) and any regear is needed on 35s tire size
I can appreciate the anti wobble design, however, when you do attach you bike rack, doesn't that wobble????
I would like to know this as well.

Nice! Yeah lots of chopping involved. Also make sure the caster on your adjustable upper control arms is close to maxed out when you get an alignment.
I have not regeared yet and have had no issues but with probably go with 4.56 - I would love to track down a 8.2 rear end as well
