One interesting fact about Cascavel. I spoke with the Sigma P1 G5 project leader at Tarumã last year, and he said they went for a very non asymmetric camber just because of the Bacião corner, because that very first corner was basically destroying the tire carcass of the Pirelli P ZEROs when Endurance Brasil raced there, causing a lot of tire blows in the rear right, just like in GT World Challenge Europe due to excessive load in the tire. They survived the tire demolition and won the race by a tiny margin, but complains about this problem were enough to ditch Cascavel from the EB calendar, which basically on a Goiânia-Velo Citta-Interlagos roundabout this year.
Hmmmm. So that's what happened. Well, that's a fair price. I just hope people don't start having ideas about "correcting" the Bacião. That and the uphill part of VelloCità are amongst the best corners in Brazilian circuits.
@@renangoncalvesflores It's a pretty specific failure with high downforce cars and the Pirelli P ZERO, and the DHF model just inherited the Achilles' heel of the DHD2 and DHE models under heavy load. Cascavel de Ouro is a thing for our 1400cc touring cars, which I really hope that appear in AMS2.
Wow you got to watch those gorgeous prototypes racing up close? Lucky you. But did you get the tire wrong? Since it's a left turn, shouldn't the rear RIGHT tire be the one taking all the load?
@@Slakass55 Properly corrected, silly me. The Sigma Kraucher guys are racing a P2 spec Sigma P1 G5 in the Gaúcho de Endurance here in the south while the P1 spec cars race in Endurance Brasil, so I got opportunity to see everything and ask everything. Shame that I forgot most answers to the P1 G5 setup questions I asked at the Velopark last year, they are incredibly open with these details. and it was there when I alerted Pedro Fetter that the P ZERO problems under load could appear at Cascavel.
omg wow you never stop learning, Off camber corners on track help protect tyres in long run... WOW I never thought of that even though im acutely aware of how the opposite ruins them, I never thought to invert the idea. Im applying this to my driving :D
I get Stock Car Pro on a subscription service (not too expensive). It's an amazing series that if was available on one of the usual channels would get more attention I'm sure. The racing is excellent, and with some former F1 drivers in the field really adds to the credibility. I like that the races are not super long as well. Thanks for the vid!
You can watch it for free on UA-cam on the official Stock cars channel (with commentary in portuguese obviously). Most of the current running Brazilian series shown in game can also be followed for free too. I really hope they add Nascar Brazil to the game at some point too.
@@bizoro21 The NASCAR Brasil situation is kind of a crossroad, I think. I suppose that all NASCAR license holders until iRacing have the international series in the package, but never make use of it. If the contract doesn't include the international series, then it would open the avenue for REIZA to include one or more series to the lot. This is a point that got a clear stance from the holders.
These are definitely the best 'tin tops' in AMS2. That was some battle with the 88 car. The AI in the game has come on leaps and bounds since early access.
A few of us in our AMS2 league noticed a few other stealth updates (possibly not from the latest patch, but recent), and with ref to your AC video, try the Caterham Supersport (not the Superlights) with h-box round Cadwell...we simply don't remember the Supersports being that good. They are now.
Just tried Cascavel and stock cars 24 for first time and I totally agree with you. Great racing. As a long time Brands fan (I used to live near there and go a lot in my youth) I agree I just seem to find the rhythm after only a couple of laps unlike my usual experience when I try a new track lol. Thanks for this and for other AMS2 videos, I don't know why but there don't seem to be many good UA-camrs who appreciate AMS2 enough. For me it's the best racing Sim. I still love AC for the great modding but for racing AMS2 is my choice.
Great cars at a great track. Older Stock Cars ('86 & '99) and other bigger cars work there nicely as well. Narrow and flowing circuits are great for close quarters racing.
I really like Cascavel and have raced it a few dozen times. Like you said, it's perfect for when I just want a short race (usually after a day at work). GT4 and Carrera cup cars are also fun there, as well as the Brazilian P2/3/4 single seaters.
The Cascavel track is a true gem. For anyone that hasn't tried it, you will love it. Great flow on a track featuring lots of elevation changes, fast sweeping turns and super fun uphill double left turns at the end of the lap. From someone that enjoys racing it in VR, the changes are quite noticeable. They sure made it look good with the 3D trees and additional details. Another track I can't wait for is Mosport, which hopefully will be added once release 1.6 is out. Since it's part of the IMSA series, I'd expect all 11 tracks to be featured. This game only keeps getting better and better.
I'm back in sim racing after a 3 years break, going from g27 to cammus c12 + LC10 I'm gonna try this it looks very fun and I love those brazilian tracks, I remember all of them from AMS 1 and I think I have most in Assetto.
Cascavel já a racetrack from Brazil, Paraná state. Outside the Goiânia outtrack, is the fastest circuit in Brazil. Nic that you liked! There's a international and free transmission of Stock Car Pro Series, I recommend you to watch!
I love these cars as well, had great battles with AI on Golania or whatever it's called. They are quite easy to lose, especially when overdrving slightly
Hi Mike , I love this game its great fun . My favourite SIM andIt would be perfect for me if it had the PC2 career mode and a Grand Tourismo type of multi player, but there's probably not the player base for that 😕👍
The 2024 season also will feature the long, long-awaited return of the Stock Cars to the Autódromo Internacional Nelson Piquet (i.e., the updated Brasília) … hopefully AMS2 will provide the 2024 version!
I'm with you. I too enjoy the Brasilia track (mostly the outer/almost oval configuration). Didn't realize the track was updated, hopefully Reiza will add a new version (while leaving the existing configuration as 'classic')
Please please take same car same track and compare the ffb between ac and ams2. Would really like to get your take on it and if you are able to make both feel similar. I love the ai of ams2 but can’t get it feeling like ac ffb.
Braking its exactly what has improved the most to me with this new tyre model, gets really natural to brake on the limits of grip and save the lockings, trully beautiful to drive
Out of interest, how many tracks from this series are / aren’t in AMS2? I wonder if it is a series that AMS2 could almost make a part of the game, i.e. a complete & official championship mode.
Thanks thats really interesting - I guess I could have looked it up on Wikipedia etc 😂 You’d think it would be quite special for AMS2 if the series could endorse an officially licensed mode within the game, it would benefit all?! Much in the way BTCC could (should!) have made RF2 something special 😂
For 2024 we will have races in Belo Horizonte and Brasília (not the same Brasília currently in game), and also one race in Argentina (not sure if in one of the tracks already in game) and one in Uruguay. I hope they add those tracks like they did with Galeão. Since all of those will happen from August forward, they have some time, so there is hope. 😊

PtP has just been updated in the beta to reflect rule changes just made for the series. Such a great combo to race.

i also love stock cars and superv8 cars here in this game they are really amazing not a fan of GT3 cars but i enjoy the M4 only
I like these cars just feels like your sittin in the back seat as demonstrated with your fov lol .

Nonsense- we all know that real racing is only gt3 @ Monza :P
I agree with you on the GT3 (joke), but will take the Nords or Bathurst as venue.
