    I'm so glad a customer recommended me your channel while I was working today. She was working on a GORGEOUS pastel painting project when I was delivering her roommates food. I was curious so I asked her what she was working on and I'm not gonna go into detail as to what it looked like because I don't think it's my place to reveal an artists project without permission. Anyways we got down to just talking about art for a few minutes. I told her my favorite artists of all time were the legendary Van Gogh, Leonardo da Vinci, and Bob Ross. To best describe her project the only way I could describe was in the gorgeous style of none other than Van Gogh. And if she reads this hello, thank you for recommending Karen's channel to me, and I hope we can be friends! 😊

    Hi Karen, Thank you for all of these great tips on pastel painting. I was wondering, where do you get your photos that you don't take yourself. What is the best photo site to go to so that I would not have any copyright issues.

    Hi Karen, I was wondering if I could use these techniques with oil pastel instead of soft pastel because I only have that 😅. I recently started painting with pastels. I'm looking for someone who paints landscapes but uses oil pastels. I've watched a few videos but I don't like most of them because their paintings look ordinary and similar. I want an artist who paints fearlessly and creatively. And also a good teacher like you. Is that too much? 🥺 And thank you very much. It is a great pleasure to watch your videos ❤️

    Spectrafix fixative is everclear vodka and non toxic casein(milk). It's a good fixative. I buy the concentrate and put it in a mist bottle. I have never used it out of their bottles.

    I have mungyo pastels set...which is best quality and economical pastels?

    • @KarenMargulis
      @KarenMargulis  9 місяців тому +4

      They are a good quality pastel. I use Terry Ludwig, Sennelier half sticks and Rembrandt half sticks for most of my paintings. Those half stick seta are high quality and a great value.
