i've literally seen clips of kholby playing noel in every single professional production and he slays everytime
SINCE 2008
he is the only constant i have in my life besides water
Yup! He was in like, most professional productions . I appreciate it so much that he stayed all the way. I’m pretty sure he was in the very first production too!
he was the on,y one chosen to be noel and i think that’s pretty cool!
REAL HES THE BEST
ride the cyclone isn’t ride the cyclone without kholby wardell
thats why the mccarter theater production is bad (they were also ableist)
@@chloq_ i wouldnt say its bad i kinda enjoyed it, but i was bad tho so
He’s holding Noel hostage also we have the same name lmao
@@KryoHazard it's* I* though*
Sorry for the mistakes. English isn't my first language and I spell things how they sound
@@englishatheart
i hope to one day find someone who'll be as committed to me as kholby wardell has been to this musical
Goals
Real I’m currently searching for a version without him
@@mikefaistslover any luck?
@@Mj_7472 nope!
@@mikefaistslover damn😭
kholby has a GRIP on that role
I cant believe that Kholby had to learn like 5 different opening songs. 😭
the Uranium Suite (original), the Uranium Suite (reprise) the Fall Fair Suite, and Waiting for the Drop
There was also an extended version of Fall Fair Suite and some openings that were never seen
Kholby had to learn many openings:
1. Unknown Name (Lyrics known are U-R-A-N-I-U-M, where my heart goes now and then)
2. Tragic Fact
3. Minor Turn
4. Fall Fair Suite
5. Waiting For The Drop
6. Uranium Suite
And probably more we’ve never heard. I’ll update this if I learn more.
@@asillysquidkidminor turn?
You can never escape kholby 😭
At this point Kholby IS Noel
Yup 😂
And we dont want to
me, looking at the thumbnail: oh wow their Noel even looks like Kholby
me, after clicking on the video: OH WOW IT IS KHOLBY
KHOLBY IS EVERYWHERE I SWEARRRR
@@pinnedbutterflysThis was one of the earlier productions of RtC from around 2011, so yeah, Kholby has been playing Noel since the VERY beginning!
@@finleyforevermore that’s so cool !! I love his dedication
kholby is EVERYWHERE
Why does nobody talk about Karnak’s horrifying human hands. Making them puppet hands was the right move cuz it’s so unsettling
I dunno, I quite like the really creepy, disturbing Karnak.
This has been going since lile 2011??? Oh My Lords how have I not heard of this until like this Sunday????
It has changed so muuuch I wish it was possible to see all the different versions of the musical as it evolved like I would see that I would pay for that my guys
Actually the original performance was in 2008
@@mikudayo4018 WHATATA
@@ThisGirlDood it was just a workshop but yeah, iirc the actual performances with equipment and everything started around 2011
I like the 2016 version personally. Fall fair suite was the best opening number. And they cut out so much of the good lines
@@panicatlabiblioteca3977I'm a big fan of the 2018 Seattle production and the 2019 Atlanta production!
dont be shy, show us the whole show
Exactly 😭
I think id sell my soal to see this production when it was live
I absolutely love kholby he’s so dedicated and I love it and I’m so sad the rtc has closed
This is how Uranium Suite sounded originally? Love it! it's a mix of Fall Fair Suite and the current Uranium Suite! Wish they kept it.
The song was called Tragic Fact
My wife and I saw several iterations of this play as it was developing...from its inception, probably 6 or 7 times....Absolutely LOVED it!!!! Dark and HILARIOUSLY funny. I would travel to Toronto to see again with the original cast. Will it come to TV?
No
the part at 2:00 really goes off and i _love_ it
OML IM SUBBED 2 U!! hii!!
I saw this in February, and it was one of the coolest and beautiful not to mention funniest musicals I have seen :)
I NEED A SOUNTRACK RECORDING!!! A NEED THE BOOK!!! I NEED THE RECORDING OF THE SHOW!!! I NEED EVERYTHING!!!! greetings from Mexico
I really do hope that full musical productions would be digitally available one day (paid ofc) !
me too, especially this one
Kohlby is everywhere 😰
I DIDNT KNOW THIS VERSION CAME FROM EDMONTON wtf - I miss everything good lmfao
BAH THIS WAS SUCH A GOOD PLAY!!! just saw it today, i loved it
jesus kholby gotta be everywhere its scary
Saw this at ACT in Seattle. Loved everything about it, and I've been in musical theatre for fifty years.
Why is kholby everywhere omg
kholby my love
KHOLBY IS THE BEST BRO
3:35 KHOLBY MY BELOVED BLESS US
Please give us cast recording I will sell my only remaining kidney for it
Have you heard the news? Say goodbye to your kidney
Say bye bye to the kidney cause we got a recording 🌚
@@thinmints4life EYO WHERE?? I CANT FIND IT

@@scarlett_b7083 what do you search up?
Kholby looks so damn tired here
kholby really just. cant leave. can he.
i think kholby is in my walls
Ricky can talk-
Yes, in the original he did have his crutches and wasn’t mute, just socially awkward lmao
@@uhohitspriscilla actually he originally had the crutches in the 2009 version but then changed not to here and then back to disabled.
Edit:well I thought he did, but now I see it's someone different.
I remember seeing this in Toronto in November 2011. It's great to hear some of the music again in this video. I hope to see this show again one day, hopefully in Toronto. I'm going to see Legoland in Toronto, too. Ricky still plays the piano in the show, right?
You're so lucky know that they have changed most of the songs if I ever go to see rtc I will never here the original ballad of jane doe, tragic fact, play to win and sugar cloud
@@y0udontknowm3 Sugar Cloud hasn't changed much, I believe, just a few lyrics. I don't remember if The Ballad of Jane Doe started the same way it does on the album, but I think that one is still close to the original. I don't remember many lyrics to Play to Win, but the talking Karl Marx cutout was quite something. I think it might have been more chaotic than What the World Needs. I wish I could see Play to Win live again, I must admit, just to compare it properly to Ocean's new song.
@@MewWolf5 I have only seen a 50 second clip of the ballad from 2011 but it is quite different and has a few more lyrics but i still wish I could have seen some of the earlier versions
@@y0udontknowm3The Ballad of Jane Doe, from what I've seen at least, is almost exactly the same as it is now, just with an added verse before the "And I'm asking why Lord?" verse!
Were there any other cut songs? I’m just curious if there was.
the choreo is so good
I saw this today, So many tears where shed! I though it was beautiful, I only hope that the cast does a recording of the songs because I can't get them off my head!
I saw this great show in Whitehorse. I would like to know why Uranium City, Saskatchewan was chosen as the hometown of the actors since it has Nothing in common with the real town.
They probably just made up a name not knowing Uranium City was an actual town lol, that or they knew and just took some creative liberties w it to have it fit w the plot
kholby go home
I want a CD of this.
10 years later and im still wanting a CD of this 😭
Slayed
ok but can we talk about how the original Karnak looked like something out of The Dark Crystal (and I def mean that as a compliment)
Is there a full version of this cast?? I love the girl who sings Sugar rush (I can’t remember the character name)
the characters name is constance! and im also looking for who plays her shes amazing
@@uhohitspriscillahave you found it yet ?i would love to check it out !
@@promorhell yes i found it! her name is kelly hudson :) unfortunately i havent been able to find a full version of this cast tho
Here's the cast list! :)
Karnak is voiced by Carey Wass.
Ocean is played by Rielle Braid.
Jane Doe is played by Sarah Jane Pelzer.
Constance is played by Kelly Hudson.
Ricky is played by Elliott Loran.
Mischa is played by Jameson Matthew Parker.
And Noel is played, of course, by Kholby Wardell.
jane is so cute om
why is ricky singing in uranium…
Watching this so I can write version with a bunch of intros jammed into the play. So far it’s only a bit longer than the original
I actually did this. It was hard trying to fit Tragic Fact, Fall Fair Suite (1.0), Fall Fair Suite (2.0), Waiting For The Drop & Uranium City all together
So pissed I didn’t go to rtc when it was at citadel
Why can Ricky talk this is shocking
This is one of the older productions, I don't think Ricky was canonically disabled yet
@@leokilledthedinosaurs well he was in the 2009 version but they changed it.
wait why is Ricky not disabled?
This is the old version of RTC
@@vu1gros did he still sing Space Age Bachelor Man? It seemed like being disabled was a big part of that backstory
@@bn_rose_gold9531 Yes it is shown in the trailer and there's a little audio of it. And there's a rehearsal video of him and the two actors that play Jane and Mischa acting his parents or grandparents doing the sign language thing, even though he can speak. There's a little interview of the actor saying that Ricky is/was a little nerd, saying random thingsat certain times and then when his song came on he becomes "an explosion of awesomeness."
OH. MY. GOD?!
y is ricky singing
In 2011, Ricky wasn’t decided to have a disability (and be mute) yet, Sometime during productions they changed Ricky up!
@@LukKANADAactually 2008-2013 (but i find it weird because i've seen a picture of the Canadian cast & Elliott had crutches in one of them)
Why is Ricky moving? I’ve only ever seen him as a disabled character.
He used to not be disabled throughout atleast 2008-2013 & was later given it. Thanks to controversy with the Mccarter's Theatre production, a script decided to remove Ricky's disability again in 2023.
How is the mute kid singing 😭
wow rtc used to be really bad
This isn’t the original the cast only Noel is the same
It was very new and rocky, but it wasn’t bad. It’s definitely gotten better tho
@@sableyesundaygaming2016 it is the very original this was the Toronto premier before it was on broadway
It wasn’t bad, it just had no plot. Plus this is when it just started and it got way better over the years. It was a cabaret show
@@mikan1597 It has the plot we have now. Choir kids go to and sing at a carnival, see a fortune telling machine that doesn't tell them they're going to die, ride a roller coaster, die, surprise mystery girl, sing about their lives and one can be brought back to life, it's pretty much how it now. With a couple of little differences.
I know that the show has gone through tons of different versions, but it seems weird to not have Ricky with crutches. 🫤
