OK - did this over the weekend and it worked! Took my MGM Pearl (which I only got from the credit card offer, not from my play) to Fontainbleu - they gave me Silver (no $100 food credit though). Took the Silver and Wynn upgraded my existing low level Red card to Platinum. Took the Platinum card to Caesars (where I've never had a card), and got instant Diamond. Went back to MGM and they turned my Pearl into Gold (for 90 days). FYI MGM guy said the Wynn Platinum is more valuable for tier matches than Caesars Diamond. He said Wynn Platinum means you are rated a plus player (or something like that...). That seems to be the most valuable turn of all of them. I also forgot to ask, but believe I get a $100 celebration dinner from Caesars Diamond.
I heard that Caesars won’t tier match if you’re already a member. You failed to mention whether you already had a lower tiered Caesar’s Card before you got matched to Diamond. Can you answer that please? Thx
@jamesbrander3506 Normally, you are correct. My wife had signed up online. Caesers systems are so out of date that the guy who helped us was looking it up manually and couldn't find any record of it, so.....got upgraded. Thanks fir the question.
It is btw a common misconception, that MGM Gold comes with upgrades. It does not - not even Platinum or Noir actually comes with that. It comes with a better room in the same category, you are booked in, such as a high floor or say Strip view.
That's interesting. We have three episodes coming out where we were upgraded. At Manadalay, we went from a regular non strip view room to a 60th floor strip view suite. Luxor from Pyramid room to a Tower One Bedroom suite. Delano from a regular room to a Scenic Strip View. I'm not sure why, other than that. That Girl is pretty persuasive! Thanks for the comment.

Check terms and conditions - they even left out now the word "Upgrade" and just using "Enhancement" as a guaranteed perk (which is no guaranteed either, as it is contingent of availability).
Can I ask do they swipe your old rewards/competitors card to see if it’s active or do you just show them the card at the rewards desk and then they register you at their hotel rewards program just by looking at it?
Most cards like MGM rewards have an expiration date on them. I can't answer beyond that. I don't believe they do check beyond that. Hopefully, that helps. Vegas!

great short term idea. They Should mention its a one shot deal. If you ever had a players card or upgraded they wont upgrade you. Also great to get perks at a casino that is closing..Probably would have been better to wait till mirage aka hardrock reopened. not a totally bad idea but best for people who are only going to hit things once..Not knocking getting things for free..but they should have explained it better

We wanted to book a couple stays before they close in July. Also Caesers waived my wife's previous card and gave her the upgrade to Diamond. You make good points and we appreciate it. @tglip24 I wish I knew. At Caesers we got lucky and they waived a previous card and upgraded us. Obviously at MGM, they upgrade our previous Pearl card to gold. It's definitely worth it to try.

This served as immediate reward as well as my resort fees are now waived for the trip I'm on with MGM. Gold has no resort fees.

I thought Caesars only tier matched new players. Also, if you take your Hard Rock Icon back to Fountainbleu I'm pretty sure they'll match you to Gold.
