Make a Leather Wine Tote and Learn a Brilliant 3-Piece Gusset Design
Вставка

- In this full-length video, we dive deep into using our acrylic template set to make a beautiful leather wine tote - the same ones I sell online and in our stores. It's a longer video, but I know you'll find it valuable as you learn how to apply this versatile 3-piece gusset design to your work. With a bit of practice, this gusset style can easily be applied to almost any squared-off shape - like a briefcase, whiskey bottle, tool pouches, etc. Since learning it, I've used it to make all sorts of custom projects, and I hope you'll be able to do the same.

Be still my heart! Hallelujah! My day is made.
I've got to give credit where credit is due, this is a fantastic tutorial. The work ethics, proper application of techniques used, tool and product recommendations/ resources, and candid slice of life moments of an in use workshop in back of a storefront displayed all give people a fantastic example of leathercrafting as a trade.
So glad you are back !!
Glad to be back!
Yes! Welcome back! You are my goal.
Thank you for following along with me.
Love Odin's videos.. always clear and to the point. Wish he had time to make more. For all his templates.
Thanks Ronald. I’m trying to find time to make more.
Hope you and the family are doing well. Thanks for the content.
Great project and I appreciate the step by step tutorial. Not just an 8 minute video. And I ordered that cool trim knife. Thanks
You won't be disappointed with the knife. I'll probably pick up another one soon.
So fun to watch you work my man. Can't wait for the next one
I subscribe to a lot of leather craftspeople but I have to say, you are the hardest-working man in the industry
Your very kind. Thanks.
@@OdinLeatherGoods I second Chuck’s comment.
I am just getting into leatherworking and videos like this are super helpful. I appreciate you make them.
That little knife is adorable 😍 💖 💕. It reminds me of a head knife.
I have to get one. Awesome. Ty. And welcome back. 😊
Kind of like a mini-head knife.
I literally just cut the pieces out for this! Yay! Thank you.
Perfect!
Love your work mate. Very well explained.
I like the way you started your stitch. I’m gonna practice that with my class 26 nice project.😎
That knife tho! Wow! Amazing product as expected from you! 💙👏👏👏👏
It’s a great little pattern knife. I’m very happy with it.
It's good to see you back on youtube. Great content.
More to come!
Thanks for a good demo & info. Love your solution for 90 degree corner gusset--and other assembly tips (geared toward machine sewing, too). Beautiful!
I’m glad you like the content. I’ll try to get more videos out this coming year.
Excited been waiting on this. Had template for over a couple months now.
I'm sorry the video took so long.
Looking forward to making this when my template arrives for a Xmas present
I really appreciate your channel
Spectacular!
Thank you.
This was great man! I followed along and made one with you and it could not have turned out better! I'll make an Instagram post and tag you after Christmas since it'll be a gift!
Very glad I found your page! Great video, great detail!
I'm just getting into leather working. Thanks for all the useful tips and tricks. I'm located in western denton county, I will have to stop by your shop sometime!
Barge came out with a rubber cement adhesive with NO SMELL (Toluene-Free) like the older version of Barge. It works just like the old cement without the awful smell!
Great demo! Thankyou so much!! What thickness (mm) was the leather used, please?
This is awesome. Great video and such an easy step by step process, I really appreciate it. Any chance there will be a Digital PDF Template offered as well? Hoping to start working on it ASAP and digital works best for me. Let me know. Thank you again for the video.
Thanks Roger! Let us know how your project turns out.
Just a pleasure to watch this step by step run through. Which Class Cobra machine you used to sew the wine tote?
I used a Cobra Class 26 for this project.
what brand is the edge clamp and also where is it available. thank you for a great tutorial c.noel canada
That is awesome. And next time someone tells you "Why is this $100 I can buy the same thing from China for half a bag of chips" you can just link them to the video, maybe they will grow some appreciation how long handcrafting takes.
I got my template from you the other day and about to start on this. After you laminated the two pieces of leather together, what was the thickness you arrived at? Thanks
Hello. What Fiebing’s dye are you using to burnish? Alcohol-based, or oil-based? Thanks.
Great video! What weight leather did you use?
I think I used 5/6oz leather.
Is there a digital pattern of this? Couldn’t find one on the website
hello Odin you are a master of leathercraft. Can you tell me where I can buy the leather knife, the small crescent moon?
Sure. You can find this knife at Makers Leather Supply in Waco, TX. Here’s a link… makersleathersupply.com/products/the-little-helper-knife?_pos=1&_sid=e1b187c15&_ss=r
Do you sell the pattern a digital download? Thanks
what kind of knife are you using? and where can i get it?
Tutorials like this is my form of meditation. I like them long. You both show and tell. I don't like the ones that just shows and plays som gawdawful music. I wanna make this. Can you offer pattern in printable form please?
How did the move go?
Pretty well! Lots to get used to but after one year and feel like we’ve settled in - though I still have a long list of to do’s.
whats the weight of the lining leather?
What weight is that leather?
