I love doing this, and as the leader it's important to go last! It shows your group that you care enough to know every one of their names, and that you won't ask them to do something you wouldn't do yourself!
I love the videos! They are a huge help for our school youth club. It has been a while since I was a youth leader so I am glad that I came across these videos to take me back and give me great ideas to get the kids engaged and havng fun!
This is great! I think it is best played for group of people who are meeting for first time. Anyway, thank you so much for your videos. I'm the game master of our Youth Ministry and your channel has helped me a lot. Can you also upload videos on tips and techniques for game masters? I really admire your grace in leading games. God bless your ministry! :)
Really great, in German we say "Koffer packen" to this game: "pack suitcase", like I'm packing my suitcase and put in .... and the next repeats and goes on ... I use your version for my dancing lessons to create new dances together with the pupils/students ...
There’s a similar game like your suitcase! “I’m going on a picnic, and I’m bringing…” and there’s a secret theme the kids need to figure out. “Can I bring…” “Yes, you can come” or “no, you can’t” if they fit the theme. Maybe it’s things at a beach, maybe it’s things that are yellow, or things with double letters, or things that start with the same letter as your first name. Tschüss!
Sol Lopez That would be a lot of people to introduce! I would think of doing small groups and having them introduce themselves to their small group. Maybe one person from each small group comes up and quickly introduces each person from the group. Or, I use it to introduce, for example, my adult leaders on our mission trip or on retreats. Get creative!
Rose Amer A question I’ve gotten a lot! I think this could work with a group and you just get to pick the order (maybe of who logged in first?) I did a scavenger hunt with a group that was effective! Picked some easy things (something red, something circular) and some silly things (favorite childhood toy) and some potentially meaningful things (something that has a story behind it, something from a family tradition, a faith symbol). Brought some cool conversation, bonus points for whatever is smallest, biggest, silliest (judged by you or whomever). Of course, points are meaningless and free so give lots of points!
