Tony, hey brother not sure if you still answer on this or not but, I wanted to let you know that I followed your video and advise and now I have made myself a 24 by 24 table with a foam seal and a 24 by 24 membrane from therma press and I must say that not only does it work for my kydex holsters, but it also works very well for my leather holsters. Just wanted to stop by and let you know. Also thanks for the inspiration to get into the world of kydex..........gods speed with everything you do.
Thanks brother. Right now it’s kinda slow, but it should pick up here in a bit with hunting season and constitutional carry in our state. I will definitely send pics. Once again......thanks for all your help.
thanks for the video. I made one today and used a piece of melamine for the deck. bought a $60 3.5cfm pump off amazon. Seems to work great, neoprene will be here tomorrow
Tony you rock, had some questions on tapping a deck and he made a video complete with parts list...ill be sure to pay it forward when i can man; thanks again! Anthony
What fittings did you use to setup the vacuum pump? I’m having a hard time finding the right fitting to go on the vacuum pump to attach the hose. Thanks! 👍🏽
The Left Handed Shooter which pump are you using, on the HF small 2.5 the hose goes right into the fitting, I just unscrewed the top cap, heated the hose with a heat gun, and clamp. I could have done the same on the big one-it has $30 worth of brass on it😞
The Left Handed Shooter are you using the 5/8 x 3/8 braided hose? I just checked my HF- it’s 1/2 on the side, heated up some hose and it slipped over the fitting.
@@alamedacustomholsters I ended up using 1/2 ID hose, pressed it on the flare, and spun it like I was threading it on, and it fit snug, then I threw a hose clamp on it and tightened it down! now I just have to finish my table for vacuum pressing!
Tony, will your homemade vac setup shown here and some of your other videos work for full pistol splits? Is there any limitations with this that you've found or places you've tried to take it that it couldn't go? Thanks - AJ
Alameda Holsters PS: you should take the time to organize all your videos into playlists so we can peruse them easier :) you've got a ton of great content, almost an overwhelming amount when I'm looking for something specific
Have a quick question we got the same harbor freight vacuum pump and it didn’t come with the brass to connect the hose by any chance what did you use? Thanks for any info
Tracy Romero it should have, I would check with Harbor freight on that, I believe all of them are shipped with that fitting, I just slid the braided line over it and clamped it.
Ok thanks also one more HUGE question we do not have the metal piece that you lay on top of your rubber piece what else could we possible use? Sorry to bother you
Tracy Romero never a bother Tracy, anything will work, people use picture frames or anything square, some will make different sizes of frames using wood scrap.
Any issues that you know of if using a non porous cutting board like this, www.amazon.com/Winco-CBWT-1824-Cutting-Board-2-Inch/dp/B001DI5VCA/ref=sr_1_4?s=kitchen&ie=UTF8&qid=1526961957&sr=1-4&keywords=non+porous+cutting+board+18+x+18
40 to 90 Shore A Durometer membrane, the cheapest way is to contact Ruben from Blacksheep tactical, he's easy to find on FaceBook, just send him a message. You can also use 1/4 neoprene foam instead of the membrane.
Thanks Tony! Made mine yesterday works like a champ gave it a quick trial and definitely runs better than my previous homemade one!!

Alameda Holsters I have a Zeny 3.5 CFM from amazon. It has a 1/2” flare up top and a 1/4” flare 90 degrees to it.

THX FOR YOUR GREAT VIDEOS. will a curved jig work in this?
steve acevedo yes, just make sure you have something under the jig, scotch pad or the liner to allow air under it, even gutter screen works.

The King's Armourer check out my video “jig and final” it will fit a split mold without issues-
Alameda Holsters that's what I needed to know, thanks!

Thx getting my parts together to assemble my version. I let you know how it goes.
Looking for the parts list . Is there a separate website? Thanks
BALTOMAN I thought I had one in one of my videos, I have hose and two fittings ready to ship-$30, add a membrane and it’s $50 shipped.
If the hole is 5/8, how does the 3/8 fitting fit?
Joseph Wittenberg Jr. great question, I’ll review the fittings, I could have confused the hose size.
Your top? Is that a sink cover, like out of an RV?
Shawn Jarman 😂😂😂yes👊👊👊
What did you use for the deck ?? Is that a cutting board ??
Corian, anything will work as long as its non porous.

I'm new at this and I watch lots of your videos....what is the frame made of that you are using?
Carl Hutson it's called 80/20, eBay is the best place, 4' piece was $12. Plus $12.00 shipping
what do you use for the membrane on top ?
40 to 90 Shore A Durometer membrane, the cheapest way is to contact Ruben from Blacksheep tactical, he's easy to find on FaceBook, just send him a message. You can also use 1/4 neoprene foam instead of the membrane.
thnx
Anyone running a single stage pump on this design with good results?
