That's my experience with the PL-660 too, that it stores anything and everything in its AM memory scan. Good to see that the other models are a bit more useful in that regard.
I use a Sangean PRD9W for MW-AM dx listening at night. In Canada there are still many AM stations. You have a very complete collection of radios, nice! For the money I like the Tecsun PL330, and also it has a good speaker sound.
So, now that we know the easy calibration method for the 990x and 330, and presumably the H-501 is the same, using these radios is all the more enjoyable. For those of us who require exact zero beating, this is good news!
You are a super star ... many many thanks for us we are interesting at MW is great help testing at the weakest signal ... if i could send 1000 likes, i would have done it ... about all the same but with small difference, in this case would say in order 990 because to me seems has more smoother noise at background, 880, 660, 330 ... surprised to see 330 almost same as 660 ... EDIT by the way the tuning knob at the 990 (atm mode) it looks like is loose? or is this how meant to be? TY 73

my pl880 has distorted speaker.i guess it give up earlier than the whole unit.even the signal almost 4k

depends. in high noise area, 990x performs better. at open space, 660 rocks

thx for comment. 990 knob isnjust like 880. no difference. but tuning speed at memorized pagebis a bit slower

Did you use the antenna?
the ferrite antena I guess. it is inside the apparatus

These radios are not good MW performers, I think they shine on FM and shortwave bands and they have SSB.
