In old NC farmhouses there was most often a summer kitchen Welch was located at the back of the house, or just behind the house.

What road, exactly, was this filmed on? I'm from Bridgeton. The little town across the Neuse River Bridge from New Bern. I attended school at West Craven High & Middle Schools. Swift Creek flows past the Middle School, which is off Washington Post Rd. Between New Bern and Vanceboro. It wins its way through Vanceboro, parallel to Hwy. 17S in some instances, and toward a little communities called @Askins, @CoolSprings, @Ernul & @Antioch until it empties into the Neuse and becomes part of the river itself. Some of the scenery in this video looks extremely familiar & I'm trying to assess whether I've actually traveled down this scenic, abandoned byway while killing time in the weekends with friends. The road name or number would be of great assistance with this.

Floyd AND Dennis, to be precise. They stalled over the Piedmont, Coastal Plain, Sand Hill & Coastal areas of NC and proceeded to inundate us with copious amounts of rain for 3 to 4 days, then the rivers overflowed their banks and the rest is history.
