    Hello, my NIU kqi2 is locked and I can't connect to it with my bluetooth, so basically I can't use it at all. Could you give me any solution to this?

    • @Lantea13
      @Lantea13  4 місяці тому

      The only way to unlock it is through the mobile app that you have linked to the scooter. If you can't do it that way only other way is to contact NIU and provide proof of purchase and they might be able to help you.

      To get to the back wheel you should also watch ua-cam.com/video/2GT5LiTJ8D8/v-deo.html
      The tools you need are listed in each video description and the video shows how/where I use them.
      You will need:
      - Screwdriver bits and/or Allen wrenches:
      PH1, PH2 (e.g. www.amazon.com/Wera-851-Sheet-Metal-Phillips/dp/B00A8QNGYS/ or www.amazon.com/uxcell-Phillips-Screwdriver-Magnetic-Driver/dp/B09SHKHTBN/ )
      Allen #3 #4 #5 (e.g. www.amazon.com/Wera-05073593001-Multicolor-Metric-Blacklaser/dp/B009ODV0OE/)
      - iFixit Spudger www.ifixit.com/products/spudger (you can also you a similar plastic tool if you don't have this)
      - Hairdryer to soften the glue under the deck cover/grip tape.
      If you have any questions or are not sure about something feel free to ask.

    Hi,
    I would love to see a tyre replacement, specially the back tyre where te motor is.
    It must be a struggle, no?
    Thank you for your videos, keep it up.
    Cheers

      From what I have seen in other videos, it can indeed be a struggle. The best option, if you get a flat, is to try to patch it with a tubeless tyre repair kit, (such as www.amazon.de/dp/B0011FMCUY/) for which you do not need to remove the tyre.
      If however you still need to replace the whole tyre the best videos on the NIU KQi tyre removal are from @ScootLetsGo they are for the NIU KQi3 Pro, but the process should be identical for the KQi2.
      Front tyre change ua-cam.com/video/bX0P59Ir0G8/v-deo.html
      Rear tyre change ua-cam.com/video/sAZnTLp2qWM/v-deo.html
      If I even need to replace the tyres on the KQi2 I will definitely make a video, but I don't plan on doing it unless I really have to :)
      The best option if you need to replace a tubeless scooter tyre is to find a local scooter shop that might have something like this www.pmt-tyres.it/en/prodotto/electric-tyre-changer-220v-50hz-1ph/ to do the job easily.

    • @Satamt
      @Satamt Рік тому

      I hope I won't be needing any of that for a long time, but thank you for the detailed reply and links.
      I definitely understand why you won't be making a video about it unless you really need to! 😅
      Cheers

    Hello Lantea, I was wondering if you know if it is possible to switch the brake lever to the opposite side. I have owned previous electric scooters, and they all have the brake lever on the left side just like the KQI 2 Pro. However, I recently bought the KQI 3 Sport because I prefer the extra deck space, and for some reason, they have the brake lever on the right side I want to know if I can take it down and manually switch sides myself.

    • @Lantea13
      @Lantea13  Рік тому +1

      Hi, I don't have hands on with the KQi3, but from my experience with the KQi2, it should be possible.
      But you will need to take apart the whole dashboard assembly, disconnect the brake electrical wire, take it out of the right side and thread it through the cable hole on the left side (first verify there is a hole on the left, but from photos I have seen there should be). Then its just a matter of reconnecting it and putting the whole dashboard back together.
      Take a look at this video ua-cam.com/video/6U0HE3f7d9M/v-deo.html where I show how to disassemble the dashboard on the KQi2, it will give you an idea of what you need to do.
      The parts to be careful with:
      - removal of the plastic cover plate from the display, be careful not to damage the double-sided tape too much during removal, so you can reuse it.
      - when threading the cable through the handlebars be careful not to damage the connector, a pair of tweezers can help towards the end to get it inside the dashboard enclosure.
      - remember how the cables were folded in the tight space, it can take some time to carefully fold them back into place and screw down the display.
      I am also not sure if the right and left brake levers are identical and whether it would cause any ergonomic issue if you flip it around to the other side.

      @@jaybloo4560 Not planning to do a brake lever replacement video, since most of it would be identical to the throttle replacement I already did, where, iirc, I also mentioned the brake lever.
      If you follow that video you should have a good idea how to replace the brake lever. Feel free to ask if you have any questions about the process or if anything is not clear from the video.

    Is there anyway to disable the beeping on the scooter?

    • @Lantea13
      @Lantea13  Рік тому

      As far as I know, there is no way to disable the beeping. But it would be a useful feature in some situations, maybe try to send the suggestion to NIU and they might consider adding an option to the app for it.

      This video should help ua-cam.com/video/sAZnTLp2qWM/v-deo.html that shows the process on the KQi3. It should be very similar on the KQi2 once you have the wheel off the scooter frame.

    How can i remove front tire NIU KQi2 Pro and breaks?

    • @Lantea13
      @Lantea13  Рік тому

      To remove the front tyre from the rim follow this useful guide by @ScootLetsGo ua-cam.com/video/bX0P59Ir0G8/v-deo.html its for the KQi3, but the process of tyre removal should be nearly identical. If you have a flat however I would first suggest you to try and fix it with a tubeless tyre plug kit.
      As for the wheel itself, you need to remove the orange stickers, and the screws holding the plastic covers and then remove the wheel, this diagram shows you the details i.imgur.com/XxzzORT.jpg
      To remove the brake lever follow the guide for the removal of the throttle here ua-cam.com/video/6U0HE3f7d9M/v-deo.html same process just with the brake.

      @@ObeyJay. To replace the plastic latch I think you will need to replace the whole fender. You can order that part here shop.besender.com/store/model/detail?id=85 if you are in the US. The EU store does not seem to have that part in stock, so in that case its best to fill out the form here niu.besender.com/form and they will reply to you with the cost of the parts you need.

    how to remove the wheels and repair the engine of NIU KQI2 PRO

    • @Lantea13
      @Lantea13  Рік тому

      For the front wheel I replied in your other comment; the back wheel you can see that from the above video, see at ua-cam.com/video/51C4HHwN7WQ/v-deo.html you loosen the axle nuts, disconnect the motor wire from the controller, and remove the back wheel with the motor.
      As for disassembling and repairing the motor itself, that is beyond the scope of simple scooter repairs and I don't plan on taking apart the motor itself. If for some reason the electric motor broke you should still be within the two year NIU warranty so I would suggest you contact NIU support for repair or replacement if it does not work.
