Much like people from Mexico are surprised to find African DNA. Of course in Mexico they aren't but in the U.S. people seem unaware that Spain was conquered and raped for 700 years by the Moors. That tends to leave a mark. Spain does the same to Mexico and here I am. Chinese tried to conquer Mongolia only to get their behinds kicked, hard. So they built a wall. Still, lots of admixture. I guess Europeans, especially from small villages can "trace" their ancestry back way more but the people from the Americas are only able to "trace" back to the 1900s. I say trace with quotation marks because back then (and even until recently) families would take in children left on the streets without actually adopting them or wouldn't register their childrens/register them years after they were born so it's really all mixed up.
Whoosh if gay its pretty common in the black community to want to be mixed or have some sort of thing to hold on, to be like “hey look at me! I’m not fully black see!” when in reality black comes in all shades.

The best part is that as more people take these tests certain things get clarified more on your original results, so the unassigned portion could be a currently unrecorded tribal group or somewhere less known. Thank you guys for sharing your results with us!
That's basically how it is in Europe though 😅 it's possible to trace back to 17th century, but before that it's harder and you need to be lucky. Because of the reformation, and the 30 years war and all the wars before (like the 100 years war) a lot of parish registers are not existing anymore or they just didn't have it before. So it's not possible to find a record before that. But everything after 1600 isn't that much of a problem to trace back because of parish registers and comunal registers and court books. Of course if you don't know which region or town your ancestors came from it will be difficult.

Yes it part if their DNA not their culture. They are 2 different things. I'm saying if you are say .4% Asian you are not likely to know mandarin or another Asian language. You would likely not know a lot about the Asian culture (which in itself can vary drastically compare Indians and koreans for example). We are all a big mixing pot of different DNA because of our ancestors. These test are not the most accurate either.
Did we watch the same video? Lol when did they claim that they were part of that culture? It can still be exciting to know somewhere in your history is something completely unexpected. I feel this allows them a reason/excuse to embrace and learn about these cultures (thought not appropriate them of course) All knowledge is good knowledge you know; that's how dying languages stay thriving or forgotten tribes stay remembered. I understand your point as it wouldn't make much sense if they say went "oh now I'm ASIAN with .2%" but they didn't do that, they got excited to learn a part of their history they didn't see coming.
I'm just saying I guess I don't see the point. If they had absolutely no idea who their parents were or something yes it might be interesting but these tests are not the most accurate and DNA testing has a long way to go.

That's basically how it is in Europe though 😅 it's possible to trace back to 17th century, but before that it's harder and you need to be lucky. So it's not possible to find a record before that.

Finding out your dna ancestry is really interesting. I did mine recently & I got back results that were very shocking. A large portion of my dna is Indigenous American & European (most of it Spanish & Portuguese). A very small percentage was Arab, Egyptian & Lebanese, which I was very shocked about.
what's shocking about it?
Spain is very close to those countries, and was occupied by Arabs for a long time.
That black girl was so disrespectful to her obvious appearance.
I mean, Jazzmyne is 60% european, at this point you can't assume anything about yourself
@@WCBProductions Both her parents are black, like what the hell were you expecting, korean? Jazz said her mom is white and her dad is black and gave the percentages kind of the proportionate values to what she had to work with.
@@peacendpola23 I am aware of that. I'm just saying based off of appearance ALONE

Just came to see the comments about Courtney believing she looked anything but black!😂
Same!
This! Its so funny because its the first time I see Blacks, Whites, and Hispanics unified against something in these dna videos.
Yeah she doesn’t even look “biracial”. She looks like a lightskin Black woman
Jo Alin Yea, I believe in the video she ended up being majority black. And honestly she doesn't even lightskin to me. More like a brown skin black woman. Maybe she has a tan lol.
@@alinjo4421 not all biracial black people are light skinned
That girl looks real black.... strange that she was surprised that she was black 😂
Lmao 😂 💀
Carmello Loca real black what does that mean
Hannah Dikibo as in very black
Russia is a big country :))
🤣
Courtney over there looking like BB King talking about "I have no clue where I'm from." LOL
😂😂😂😂
Bro I actually thought she was going o biracial lol
🪦
7:30 How did she even think she was only 30% African lol
probably because of eye colour
@@babyxkande exactly! Which makes her look of latin descent - maybe Brazilian
@@babyxkande eye color is more of a random Gene than you think it is, blue and green eyes do show up in people who are 100 percent African, even though the frequency is lower. See here: ,www.egyptsearch.com/forums/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic;f=15;t=012122;p=1 so thinking that she's a high amount European just because of eye color is flawed, as it does happen in Black people. An easier indicator is her skin color and facial features, which all look West African.
@MALIYA H lol she guessed she has only 10% of South American so...
lol 30% African. come on now, girl.
@Oscar ik she tripping😂😂😂😂
Oscar
She literally seemed happy. Let that hurt go and stop projecting insecurity onto others.
@@reinal7896 isn't it incredible? All these people insecure about themselves projecting the same on this Courtney girl. She was perfectly fine, didn't see a hint of contempt from her.
crazydanger
LITERALLY !! It makes me upset to see how many insecure black people are so quick to pretend they know her. Not everybody is ashamed to be black lol. There’s way too much projecting going on smh
@@reinal7896 I guess this could a case in psychology - when people see and perceive information only through their personal bias. It takes a ton of willpower to see people for what they are trying to convey, rather for what you think they're conveying.
Lol the one girl who only thought she was 30% African had me dying... I was like there’s no way your only 30... in fact you don’t even look all that ambiguous...
Yea she just has wavy hair it's funny how a people think slick hair makes them racially ambiguous
Right? LIght eyes and 4a/4b hair are common in the black community, sis, like come on, you can get those waves with gel. There are dark skinned black parents who have produced light skinned/light eyed children for centuries.
Lol right! She almost looked disappointed to be 70% West African....I'm proud of my heritage and everyone should be.
I'm dark, and have always been mistaken for mixed or Ethiopian. I did a DNA test and found out im 90% African and half from South. This is not very common for african Americans many generations in as I am. Most of us are mostly west. So hey, you never know.....
@@myishenhaines1706 Etheopia is in Africa.....
I’ve watched quite a few of these videos and it’s weird how almost everyone ends up having a small amount of Jewish DNA.
