You do a great job with these videos young man. I'm up in the air about this bike. I've got a 32 mile ride to and from work, but it looks fun as he'll. So refreshing to see an SM that can keep up on the highway, it would be nice if there were more manufacturers that would embrace this. I look forward to following your future adventures, Thanks for sharing!
Thank you for the kind words! That must be one fun commute everyday! I know GasGas just released their version which is basically the same but some changes but I agree, this is a great platform that I think some other manufacturers could try but maybe they just see KTM|Husky|GasGas as untouchable 🤷🏻♂️
I have a 2020 Smcr And Shes Been a Nightmare. OVERHEATING ISSUES i have a FmF with power commander and auto Still Blows Coolant out i Do Float Wheelies for Miles So thats usually the Problem! But it does Blow Oil out alot as well
Nice! First I’m hearing about the coolant issues, I know my fan comes on pretty regularly but I always use engine ice and that “helps” but doesn’t solve the problem haha
That SMF light sucks because it has no low beam. When you get oncoming traffic at night, you either have to blind them or become almost blind yourself by turning the high beam off. That puts you between a rock and a hard place. For me the most essential mod so far has been heated grips. The temperature can get to minus twenty-something Celsius around here during winter, and that's when even the warmest gloves won't keep your hands from going numb while riding, but the heated grips I got from the KTM dealership are so effective that I don't even need to use them at full power all the time during winter.
100% on the headlight.. my dumbass thought there would be something but nope.. do you know of one without this issue? Damn that’s cold!! Are they hard to wire?
@@LifeWellRidden I've ordered a DRL XDURE SW2, which is a bright LED light that has both low and high beam. I wouldn't know whether the grips were hard to wire because I had my pops install them for me. I'm hopeless with electrical stuff.
I think with this headlight there is a spare wire not connected tucked in there, if you connect it to the plug, it runs the main LEDs and the bar in low beam, then the high beam will also work. Check the wiring with your old headlight.
Bike looks great! Do you still have those gray decals on the frame? I've always wondered why people don't take those off. No important info on there.... Every other SMC I see still has them. Anyways, great series/video.
Love the bike bro. Got a new sub here! I see u just have the slip on. That's what I got on mine diff brand. Do u know if it needs the power commander or fuel dongle thingy mine tends to stall a good bit
@@markmarkie1950 yes and that bike is probably the baddest 690 on the planet. On the other hand it's also prob the most expensive SMCR in the planet. I've heard KTM gave him that bike. Do u know if that's true

I received my smcr 2022 yesterday with a tekmo headers and exhaust, power cmd5 and i am more than very happy, did you see a difference with the dongle ?
Sick! That’s the way to do it right there! And not really, it’s hard to say with the PC5 on there but I would say the power curve is much better than stock. For a couple bucks it dosent hurt to have, just make sure to order a 12mm header bolt! I would also go for the more expensive one (forgot the material) but it won’t rust which is important for me in the Midwest!
Yeah I try to avoid it as much as possible but I do make that mistake sometimes, it’s hard with the SupermoFools headlight without a running light unless I have high beams on the whole time..
@@LifeWellRidden during the daytime I always ride with highbeams on. I understand that some people are weird about that idea but most motorcycle headlights suck bad enough that it's not a big deal. Maybe the fools is too bright but I doubt it. 🤷♂️

Flashing your headlights at people is generally a signal to go. Probably not the message you want to send if you're worried about someone pulling out.

Does it flame out without the PCV?
