Loving these snappy little build vids. Really enjoy that each episode has mods that you can install yourself in your garage that make a big difference to the bike. Also tragically enjoy the weight saving bits too lol. Very satisfying!
Hello from France, Thank you, your video helped me a lot for editing 👌👌👌 You were right, what a hassle to install it 🥵🥵🥵 I just finished after 2 hours 😤😤😤 Pray it's worth it 🙏🙏🙏
I am being drawn to a KTM, there’s something about them. Loved the Tekmo/Tekmo/Tekmo kit, beautiful. Mavis. What’s he like 🙄😉 Really enjoyed the video, keep ‘em coming !
Man, thank you for being not only a great youtuber but also for setting an example for all those idiots always complaining about the rules. Respect for you man 100%
Great vid again Chopsy, the only thing that is doing my OCD in are the welds on the Arrow can, especially when compared to the quality welds of the Tekno gear.. Loving the Mavis interaction, she’s a stayer on the channel for sure! 😂😂👍
That is a beautiful header! Running the stock header with Yosh R77 can on my 701 Enduro with a Rottweiler's fueling dongle in combo with a PC6 loaded with Rottweiler's map. Running the PC6 and dongle is is night and day better than just mounting a free flowing can and calling it a day. To complete the package you have to get a fueling dongle and a PC6 with Rottweiler's map or equivalent. This engine is a crazy animal when, in addition to being allowed to breathe properly, is fed properly. There is an increase in throttle response and power everywhere, the low end grunt is greatly enhanced, and it even sounds better with a deeper smoother tone from the exhaust. In modded form with the TC turned off, throttle induced no clutch up needed long wheelies are easy to do and it is just stupid in general, which is just the way I like it! Edit. Ya, you are way ahead of me. Well done sir, very impressive results, Chris (dyno guy) really knows his stuff. Also very interesting about the ride by wire throttle mapping lagging the grip rotation and not being 1 to 1. KTM has done a lot to makes this engine less aggressive in stock form. ua-cam.com/video/vLyFtbolRCI/v-deo.html
Lamby chopster .. I have never heard an better exhaust note than the Yohshimura Resonator Box on the 690 .. It's throaty & has just enough backpresure at the bottom end to retain a good amount of bottom end torque while keeping the power the smoothest by traveling wave technology .. It truly is the best of the best when it comes to resonators ..
Another cracking vid. Can't wait for the next one. Keep em coming Chops. Must admit before you said it, I was going to say about the baffle, in or out. That it didn't sound any different. 👍
Choppsy - thanks so much for this series mate. Really enjoy all your stuff but watching your tinkering and riding with this bike is awesome. I’m currently deciding between an 890 Duke R and the SMCR - both great bikes and brilliant fun; tough choice!! Hope you (and all your UK followers) are safe and healthy and OK during lockdown up there. All the best from Oz.
She's really taking shape now. Sound is much improved and I can't wait to hear her on a ride by with a wider throttle. For the wheels I think either black rims with orange spokes (black hubs) or if you want to embrace KTM orange then orange rims and black spokes (black hubs).
Sounds lush Chops, looking forward to seeing more upgrades and how it all turns out on the Dyno testing and what difference the mapping will do. Stay safe 🤪 from a fellow Brit and enjoy that cuppa 😊
Yet another awesome video Chopsy. One of my top 3 favourite bike channels. No.1 as far as garage stuff goes. I think if you're keeping the Akra gaurd then you should replace the decal with an LCR one.
I've a 701-19 SM and same thing, no much difference between baffle vs without. I plugged the straight through opening (just like yours) but no result, I run a GPR with stock header. My upgrades this winter are SAS, 02-sensor and canister removal. I've also cleaned up behind the radiators to increase the airflow. Changed the stock 16t sprocket into a 15t. Keeping the airbox lid but slightly modified. Looking forward to spring/summer. 🇸🇪
Mavis is certainly cracking in with this build. Are we ever going to see a price list for this build and how many body parts you had to sell to fund it 🤔
Looks and sounds the business.I put a new Remus tail piece on my new 2020(Dec 2020) 690R and sounds very similar. The Akro is aweful.Love these bikes. They offer so much fun(the 690's/701's) from a Hobby aspect.Enjoy.
Chops, you need a line of TEAM LCR ball caps. And just wear those in your vids. They would look great, and sell like hot cakes 🧢 Bike looks phenomenal btw🤘🏻💯
If you ever wanted to make the baffle work better (quieter), just drill more holes in it as it's the disruption/turbulence of the air that quietens it down. Even one on the very tip where it's totally blocked might help, I was surprised at how little holes it had, and the result as were you, definitely changed the tone for the better.
@@LambChopRides It'll be quieter than it is now, so less likely to be pulled in the first place when using it 👍 Mine is straight piped as the cat is in the backbox too, I've not been pulled for it yet in about two years. You could make it even better by extending it a bit to add more holes if needed. I made one for a car many years back, for our tutors daughters car at college, as the original had rusted away.
I thought the Arrow system may have been louder, I have to keep my baffle in to avoid plod and keep up the back pressure - which makes me think I need to look at new air filter system for my BMW... great video, seem to leave you r videos with more ideas on how to spend what little money I have at the moment!!! Better not tell the Mrs!
I found the wings slip on made an annoying droning noise at cruising speed with the baffle out, might be the same for the arrow? Another worthwhile mod IMO is the Healtech gear position indicator👍🏻
I really like the header and muffler that you’ve chosen to install on your 690. Sounds great. I’d like to know how much difference you think it’s made in power and if the bike behaves differently in the lower end of the rpm range with the elimination of the cat? Oh by the way that’s a weight savings of 7.937 pounds for us guys on the other side of the pond. Very cool install video 👍
What is this "lockdown"? I live in NW America. We don't have lockdown, there's not enough people to lockdown. In all seriousness, stay safe, stay home. Great video, as always.
Hi, I see that you had the Akrapovic with the sound check, I have the Akra without the cat and I was thinking of getting the Arrow. Do you think it's worth it ? i have the rottweiler intake, the fuel dongle and the sas delete kit.
Wauw 😍 Nice Sound. But why Arrow and Tekmo? Maybe I will do the exact same as you, but I also consider to take the complete Remus exhaust. (without Cat.) 🤷♂️ Love you videos 💪
i was waiting for the tekmo tekmo tekmo tekmo clip every time you mention tekmo lmaoo cracks me up, wish id of got the tekmo header before i hacked up my fmf 4.1 getting it to fit to my stock header lmaoo but it works just fine with stock but that tekmo is sexy
@@LambChopRides yea i hear you there definitely a bit much, i think im going to end up getting the black plastic swing arm covers for mine i just cant seem to figure out which ones to buy i know there are carbon fiber covers but im going the cheap route haha
Mrs Chops will have your ears off for having her good scales in the garage.
So am I the only one that watches for Mavis now??? Only kidding. Keep up the great content Chopster
Haha 😂👍
Thanks LCR....Mavis a great addition. Love the workshop builds and mods. You keep safe too.👍
Thanks Iain 👍👍👍
6:27...Anyone else hear Mavis say "lay off the burgers" 😂
🤣🤣
Good spot 😂😂

Pray it's worth it 🙏🙏🙏
Love the honesty Chops. The 10kg saving counteracting the weight you've put on. Great vid as usual. Stay safe. Pete in Italy.
Yes haha 👍👍😂
Great Video and a great lockdown project....loving the interaction from Mavis too.
Enjoy these garage vids! Mavis is a good laugh as well 👍

sounds awesome and well worth it just ordered my Tekmo exhaust from CRT Supermoto.
Bike is going to turn out sexy
Hope so! 😁😁
How reliable are ktm don't really know much about em
Great video again chops. My misses isn't happy with you though, giving me ideas to buy more bits for my 690. Looking forward to seeing the end product
Haha sorry Nathan 👍
Sounds aces, Is great to see how much weight has been saved
Thanks Pete 👍
Was on the fence in terms of which exhaust to go with. Not anymore. Sounds great!
Good vlog again chopsy like the build and Mavis anyway you take care and ride safe TTFN
In these dark times you certainly make times so much brighter and a breath of fresh air , keep up the fantastic work 👍😊
Mavis pure gold🤣👍Bikes going to be a beast, good work Chops. Hope Mrs Chops doesn't find out about the scales.🤣techno techno🇦🇺🍺
Ooooooh very nice! Baff in for me, but I am listening to the sound through my TV! Can't wait to see the next instalment!
Thanks matey 👍👍

Thanks Trevor, yeah shame it's not welded all the way around the bracket but does save weight 😂
I have the full Arrow system on my 2020 690 enduro. Tried it with baffle out....deafening...even with baffle in its way too loud really 😉👍
That is a beautiful header!

Bikes looking great chops, sorry to hear you guys are back in lock down
Thanks matey, yeah pleased its Winter... would be furious if it was spring / summer again! Hoping things improve by March
Great stuff, looks like it’s going to be the ultimate supermoto when finished
Ah I miss that sound! Sold my 625smc in 2010 and went into R1’s, different level! But I will be back to a supermoto one day

Nice! I just installed the Tekmo header on my 701. Loving it! Thanks for weighig the parts, I forgot to do that 😅

Such a big part of the experience, the sound. Loving this, chops! Keep it coming and stay awesome 🤜🤛
Thanks HeadRace 👍👍
Mavis is certainly cracking in with this build. Are we ever going to see a price list for this build and how many body parts you had to sell to fund it 🤔
It could be too depressing to tot up the spending 😂
I just put the arrow exhaust on my 18 and i realllly like it, i may do the header next
Always entertaining Mr Chops, thanks
Loving this series mate. Making me regret being completely incompetent with a spanner 😂😂😂
Haha, dont be silly get stuck in 😁
Got to be baffles out mate sounds mint 👍
Nice one chops ,guna look mint and sounds great
Sounds ace, surprised at how little difference the baffle made.
😂🤣😂 Great vid Mr chops
Bike sounds epic too
Love the series my man, keeping people like myself sane through this rough time👍
All the best stay safe
Thanks Michael appreciated buddy 👍👍
It’s time Mavis had her own channel: a star is born.
Shh dont encourage her she can see these comments 😂
@@LambChopRides Just get used to the idea that the channel is now: “Mavis Rules, Lamb Chop Rides”.
Time she went in the bin more like!!
The Chops and Mavis channel!

Nice , sounds Great without baffle

Great fun bikes Bruce arnt they, Remus was my other potential choice of exhaust 👍👍
Pirate Racing extensively tested the tekmo with a 701. It basically does nothing for added power. It looks neat though. 👍🏻
Depends on which muffler you have on it. Its almost impossible to do anything with a legal pipe
Another great video chops always a pleasure to watch thanks from danny
That Arrow can looks great! The dyno runs should make for content too so looking forward to that. Still think cruise control would be a good addition!
Yeah cruise is allways good but I really dont do long motorway trips on this so for me not needed 👍👍
No insult but I'm struggling to understand suggesting cruise control on a super moto 🤔
@@RRSmurf Why not? it's available and brilliant for keeping your speed in check with the millions of speed cameras around
@@bazza8947 Yeah I get you... Just, on a super moto... Seems so wrong 🤣
Fantastic video sounds great stay safe 🇬🇧👍
Love the looks and the sound of that exhaust combo but that clamp onto a clamp onto a clamp is a right mess.

Nice one chops 😎👍
Some say the tekmo header brings no extra power or response but it does reduce exhaust noise by a couple of db. What is your take?
Absolutely brilliant
Thanks John 👍👍
Good vid, as per usual.👍 Quite baffling that you need to put the baffle in for the track but can have it out for the street! Pardon the pun.
Sounding sweet

Lovely set up ,
neighbours be shouting out the window,
Thank you another brilliant vid
big fan chops , i have basically the same mods as you but really want to get it on the dyno to get tuned, have you done yours yet
For me it was too loud without db-killer when i revs the bike. I drilled some extra holes in the db-killer and the sound was perfect.
Good idea that, someone else suggested that too 👍
