Really excellent in content and presentation. I would certainly truest these guys' services. Thanks for sharing! Just a note on history, 'Essential oils have been used in folk medicine over centuries. The Persian physician Ibn Sina, known as Avicenna in Europe, was first to derive the fragrance of flowers from distillation,[51] while the earliest recorded mention of the techniques and methods used to produce essential oils may be Ibn al-Baitar (1188-1248), an Arab Al-Andalusian (Muslim Spain) physician, pharmacist and chemist.[52]. ref Wikipedia

Just watched thisthis right through. Fantastic very well explained really interesting. I’ve just been researching essential oils for the first time I know I was struck by how you could apparently buy wholesale 5 kg containers of lavender oil and other essential oils from India and southern Europe for prices that I couldn’t understand. I guessed they must be adulterating the essential oils and now you’ve confirmed this. I think this will create a great opportunity for honest producers who can grow the plants and produce oils from their own plants then sell direct and publicising the farm and the distillery. I imagine that you could build up a genuine following with herbalists and and aromatherapy consultants who want 100% pure product. You can also produce blended products and as long as you sell them as blended making it clear that they are not 100% pureThis way you will maintain your reputation. I only wish this lab was in the UK!

This is a great video! I work with a small distiller in Turkey that uses all local farmers to his area (İzmir). We lived there for a while and are trying to help him with sales requiring english. Let me know if you are interested in anything he has to offer. Organic and conventional are available.

Very impressed with all the info provided so far (I'm only halfway through the video). I'm wondering if you have a list of essential oil brands that you have certified and/or recommend? I live in Asia so it helps if it's available in this part of the world..

Wonderfully interesting and Informative. Thank you very much. I wonder... Would you at the lab consider sending me frankincense that is discarded? as mentioned in the video, instead of throwing it out. I live in south Africa and happy to pay for postage but finding to buy these things is very expensive due to our dollar/rand exchange rate. Your help is so much appreciated 🙏🙏

Can someone help me with their knowledge of essential oils. If a essential oil is used in a soap formulation. If it’s made in a room that’s not ventilated. Would the molecules fill the air and then settle on the ground? I’m trying to find out how they oxidise?
Would they precipitate down to the floor or evaporate?

Most chemical compounds are readily available for purchase, either naturally or synthetically. It is also possible to isolate the compounds from an essential oil.

In india market, many companies to are saling materials as essential oils and some people only know this is not pure essential oils but what they are mixing during formulation time such as chemicals compounds?
Can you please explain me ?
Because you describe all the things in video but you don't describe this type of chemicals are use in essentials oils and make essential oil as synthetic way...
