I’ve decided to let the full ad(s) run instead of skipping, so that Matt gets the full amount. A small penance for the wealth of information he provides, I hope you’ll do the same.

I made a clothing rack with mixed clothing, good and bad, and let people who want to learn how to source come over and look through the rack and i score them on how many they pick that were good. This way i dont have to go to the thrift store and watch them source.
Forever love ya for turning me on to vicuña but of this list, in 20 yrs the only one I’ve ever come across is rag and bone. Peace Matt. Best of health and happiness down south.
Outlier is probably my favorite brand to find. Their discontinued pieces can fetch some decently big money. I paid up at the thrift store. Paid $10-25 for five pants (kept one) and $10 each for four shirts. All sold within two weeks for $70+
Hey Matt, it's good to see that you found a more peaceful home than in your old city apartment. Think it's time to rename your channel to "Thrift A Happy Life". ☀🏖
I am really excited to check this out!! I'm really knowledgeable in women's but definitely want to increase my menswear knowledge. I will be purchasing your guide :)
Flint and Tinder started like 10 years ago or so as an underwear brand made in the USA with 100% US grown cotton. They expanded into socks, tshirts, chinos, sweatshirts, shorts, hoodies, jeans and maybe like 5 years ago they were bought by Huckberry. They had a few different kickstarters for jeans. Huckberry to me seems to be some sort of aggregator/curator of brands that promote a certain lifestyle, some (like F+T) that they own.
Thanks for sharing. Matt. You continue to help me elevate my knowledge of menswear brands and the trends with each category. Your view is breathtaking. I’m going to purpose my updated version of the men’s manifesto and share the link in some of rye reseller groups❤
Thank you for your videos. I walked into a thrift store and found some jeans that you recommended (Levis 560). My mind went cha ching thank you again. I will purchase your clothing manifesto.
Fantastic info with so many new to me brands. Will def pick up the manifesto. The last one served me well and I have no doubt this one will too. Lovely setting you’re in too!
Excellent video! Thank you! BTW, you look great -- like a weight has been lifted. Happy for you and appreciate that you are still bringing us these great videos.
Thrifts and Goodwills in my area are catching on to what brands do well and those are getting poached. There is an hour-glass on reselling clothes and time is running out. Within a year, walking into a goodwill and finding anything other than Merona, Puritan, and Arizona is all that will be left.
Wow Matty thank you for this! This is really an area of men's clothing I have neglected. Bin find for me today, Mack Weldon joggers, don't know if you mentioned that on the video, but they are solid flips all day long! Hope all is swell out there for you!
The sunset was so distracting....the plants, the birds the wrought iron rail....The windows behind you...sigh! Thanks for the info...more beach, please!
Came here for Mexico but find your profession interesting, so many brands I’ve never heard of guess too rich for my blood. Leaving for Merida then to Mexico City to see how we feel there for a move.
Is there a spreadsheet for the mainfesto? The length makes it cumbersome in a store. I've been taking pics of labels and then researching them in the car. lol You should do that thing as a monthly subscription. It's worth $10 a month to have that info with you. You find one extra shirt a month and it's worth it.
Matt . I haven't watched the channel in a while . I remember hearing about the digital nomad idea and it seems like the background is different . Did you make move the outside the country ?
@@ThriftALife Muy bien . My aunt moved from Colorado to Rosarito in January but oddly couldn't take the cold . My family is from Leon Guanajuato , but its pretty shitty
Hey Matt, Idea for content. big changes with usps regarding parcel select and first class going away. lots of pricing will drop for lots of businesses involved in e-commerce and especially clothing resellers. Might be worth putting something out there as people are looking for more info. in addition to reselling clothes as a hobby I own one of the larger Etsy shops in the US and this has been huge for my business and i think it will be a big for lots of other resellers. You’re great, keep doing what you’re doing!
Great idea, I'm also curious about this. AFAIK there's been no real numbers offered as to the change in prices, though it's hard to imagine they would make it cheaper? I believe they are consolidating FC, Parcel, and Retail into one service called "Ground" like UPS Ground. Something like that. I wonder if they will offer any flat rate options that are cheaper/slower than Priority, at great savings to us. It would be epic if they did and also gave out free packaging a la Priority, talk about saving real money for sellers
pricing has definitely decreased. With additional changes set to take place early July. I’m not sure if eBay has picked up the new pricing yet. We’re saving around 15 percent so far this month on postage. of course, it depends on the zone in the week but I believe under four pounds has seen the biggest decrease depending on zone. There are some websites that have published the new pricing but I haven’t been able to dig into the specifics yet.
The draft of Notice 123 (for July 2023) is available now and will probably get adopted pretty much like that. The prices are very comparable to current commercial FC package service and parcel select rates.
Thanks for the rapid response ! I will definitely be making A contribution for the Manifesto ... Appreciate the Research ! I only knew of 1 of these brands ... I am currently working on one myself .... And Ive always just divided the number Sold / Completed and then Sold / Active ... How come you X by A 100 ? I'm not A Mathematician lol
Do you have "oh shit I don't get to eat" months, or did you when you were getting off the ground? This almost seems like it would be more work and stress than a regular 40hr job
