OK, I'm ready for a Molly & Sierra duet album now... and then a Sierra & Molly album as follow up! 😃
I am ready for them to play a live show in Nashville together that I pay to watch in person.
Molly Tuttle and Sierra Hull smashing a Rancid song out of the park. I can't even describe how cool that is. True musicians!
Absolutely amazing...my 7yr old daughter watches Molly Tuttle videos on UA-cam, she now has got another amazing musician to watch too. Thanks
This generation of bluegrass artists! Such versatility. Keep it up guys.
Really good. Molly is, of course, Molly, and her guitar skills are almost off the top end. It's also really great to see Sierra playing guitar again. She's no slouch 😁
As for squash: take a butternut squash and cut it in half lengthwise. Scoop out the seeds and any soft squash. Fill the cavities with a cooked minced beef, shredded carrot, tomato, etc mixture. Whatever takes your fancy. It should have a couple of teaspoons of cummin powder mixed in before cooking. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese. Cover with foil and bake in a 350F oven until done. It's brilliant.
P
A month later and I'm still listening to this!
way to go Molly and Sierra, love you gals.
Molly and Sierra, thank you.
@Molly,
It's been quite a few years but I think I'm going to have to watch that old El Combanchero video next. Hope your family is doing well.
Molly Tuttle, Sierra Hull two of acoustic music’s GWOATS! Glad to see two vibing like this!
This is the best! So real and so much talent..
Music is in great shape with these two incredible artists. I'm so happy and inspired by their talents. At 71 it's great to see all is not lost. God bless and thank you for your generous gift of music.
Two Awesome muscians and Singers singing together! ❤❤❤❤
wow I happen to love rancid and punk rock and love molly tuttle and discovered this and now love this
Fourth of July is so stunningly beautiful here I don't even know what to say. We are lucky to have these two.
Wow! Totally awesome seeing two all-time greats sharing conversation and music! Doesn't get any better than this.
Man ya'll sound good together!!!!
The squash rule I remember from Tennessee: Plant two seeds. If they both sprout, pull one out.
Beg to differ let both grow
Your duet exhibits so much harmony between each other. Each of you is conscient of the senbilité of the other. A great combination of your talents. Thks Ben
Yall are my 5 year olds hero's. She wants to be just like you both. Dont stop writing music and keep up the good work! We will be listening!
I too have produced quite the pile of squash this quarantine/garden season. haha
Greeting from central California.
You 2 are amazing& inspiring young women around the globe, THANKYOU FOR YOUR HARMONIOUS FRIENDSHIPS😍😍😍😎😀🙂😃😍😍😍
I see Sierra Hull. I click. It always pays off.
Wow. Locked in. Such a tight set. You guys killed it.
Great to get to see and hear two of my favorite players hanging out.
So surreal . . . to have been aware of Sierra from age 9 - when she first ran into Sam Bush - and to see her grow through the years to become the fine player (and singer) she is . . . and then to hear her talk about her "husband" !!! Is she OLD enough to be married ?!? It seems just yesterday she was that little girl. And Molly - almost the same thing. From a little girl who idolsed Tommy Emmanuel - to meeting and PLAYING and RECORDING with him - to touring with her own band.
This kind of mentoring and support from the older generation is something that doesn't really happen in other genres of Music (well - maybe Folk) - and it's just amazing to see/hear these youngsters grow up before your eyes - and realise how FAST Time passes. Similarly - I've been watching Ellen Alaverdyan (bassist) since she was about 7 or 8 - and too young (and too little) to play without sitting down and holding the bass like a sitar. She's been mentored by Victor Wooten (among others) - and at the age of 11 (now) - she is a monster player and quite good singer. Her version of "Penny Lane" is quite amazing. The folks at "Yousician" - had a bass custom made for her (she's still teeny-tiny) - and she can now stand up while she plays.
Mentoring of the youngsters is so important - I would hope that the two of you will pass on the gift in your own turn - and raise up some aspiring youngster who will have the same passion as the two of you. Time to make an album together, I'm thinking . . . In the meantime - thank-you for all the Music. I stood in your shoes, once - was one of the few women session players in Canada in the early '70s - and passed along a few licks in my time. Hope you will one day do the same, in your time. Love to you both.
2 Great pickers/singers! Gonna be a fun Future!
I remember seeing both of these young Ladies at IBMA some years ago and every year for a long time after. There from the first time that they were Super Stars. was no question
Wonderful! Two of my favorite musicians.
POWER DUO😍❤😍❤ Love love love!!!
Thanks for this video and for your music !
I think you two have a rare musical chemistry.
This video was immensely enjoyable. The virtuoso musicianship and the verbal banter between two long time musicians who crossed paths many times.
such a complete musical experience, the voices, the pickin, a little bit of heaven peeking through the snow in Boston today
I've seen both of these outstanding musicians play live but never together. This was cool!
My parents were both born in Scott County, Tennessee, a couple of counties East of where Sierra started out. We used to have a good back yard garden up here, and visit down there every year. We'd have more tomatoes than you could shake a stick at. Love seeing you guys play, and hope things get back to normal eventually.
Sweet, lovely, absolutely badass, these two...
Two of my most favorite female gitfiddleists....❤️
Wonderful ! Thank you Sierra and Molly ! ENO and Sierra Nevada - Great show !
Thank you so much for the flat out incredible music in this episode. Wow.
Gorgeous voices blend so well!
I love Molly.
Wonderful musicians
Thank you two, we all miss you ....this helps ease that. I look forward to another time hanging with you two at the Rocky Grass Academy. Peace and play on!
This is great! Two of the best in the game just chatting. I love it.

Thanks all.
The Music speaks so truly from these two hearts. I am older and no longer as agile musically, and it inspires me to see these two love acoustic music as I do !! I play more because of you tube and all the music. bluegrass will set you free
Love your take on Salt Creek!
Love this collaboration. Thanks for sharing it. Per the garden, you can make a flat bread with squash and zukes for veggie tacos, wraps, etc. Blanch and freeze (FoodSaver, etc.) for later use; Squash casseroles may be boring but will freeze in portions for quick meals during the winter months. Embrace the squash! :)
Enjoyed it ladies. Two of the best in the business.
Simply fantastic! Thanks!
My little part of the OBX says "Howdy"!! I still remember the first time I saw Ms. Sierra at a small venue with Ron Block...I believe she was 16 (?) and GOLLY GEE BOB HOWDY! Was that an incredible concert!! Got the first CD, Secrets, and it off to the races from there! What talent in this video!👏👏👍👍
Became a fan of Molly Tuttle after watching her with Troy Grady dissecting her picking technique.
Now just seeing Molly and Sierra playing Rancid 6:14?!!! Wow, that's such an awesome version! Thank you!!!
Took me back to my teen years!! Loved it!
So good!
When you guys were telling your 'squash stories' it truly reminded me of some of the stories Nanci Griffith would tell during her concerts....
Thank you! Having my morning coffee with some fantastic music. Much love to you both 💜
Thank you ladies!
Enjoyed this so much! Need to see more collaboration between you two!
thank you so much for introducing me to Molly! I love her music!
Love from Québec, Canada. Super.
13:15 Great song, great melody, lovely (second) voice Sierra!
You two are so awesome, this was such a treat!
amazing. just amazing. Both of you should join us for Music in the Vale - Nov. 7 in Fernvale between Leipers fork and Fairview. outside Amaricana. free and family friendly.
Saw where a lady had taken a pumpkin and halved it, poked holes in the sides and put twine through tied at the top and hung it in a tree in her backyard as a bird feeder. She's obviously is not in the PNW where that would be a hanging mushroom garden. Love hearing the two of you singing together in such an intimate and relaxed format
Awesome
This is so good! Thanks for the upload, loved it!
if eyes are ,as they say,the mirror of the soul Molly´s soul looks amazing
Really enjoyed the conversation and the music. Thanks!
You ladies give me chills. Such treasures. Thank you for this
It's good when you have Squash given to you I find 🤣
Thank you, this was beautiful
Amazing.....
wow extra duo :)
You have such an infectious smile.
Just chills listening to you two. Saw the "live" (I don't even know what the right word is? Co-located?) set you did during the IBMA weekend and this is just as great.
just two angels singing...
Awesome. Enough said.
Sierra, I would like to hear your solo on that song with the mandolin. It would sound great I bet.
Hey Sierra! Wish you had come to the Blooming Bluegrass Festival we just had in Farmers Branch Texas. I know you’ve been there before. When you coming back? ... And likewise Molly, we want you to come too!
I love that BEER🍺🍻❗ YOU BOTH ARE TRULY AMAZING AND TALENTED❗❗❗🎃👌
Talking about bluegrass in California, there was the Whites, and also Jerry Garcia (Old and in th way.)
Sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet ! Total ear candy . Yummy Stay safe you gize !
Both of you did so good here.
Molly, I'd rather be with you too.
And if you've already named and pressed the song title to the "take the journey" claw hammer guitar piece, then disregard my following request:
Title suggestion- "Along River Pison"
Reference the book of Genesis
👍
Awesome sound ladies! I have a question...what interfaces/platform/software did you use to be able to jam together in real time?
whew
Obviously they need to get along each other. And no more ones needed.
what?
Two music gals and some squash...I’m good
The Covid-19 death rate for someone in their 30's is like .002%.
Restrictions, quarantines, cancellations, lockdowns and masks are beginning to make me angry.
(for children, the death rate has four or five zeros to the right of the decimal before you get to a number)
Even old people (who comprise almost all the fatalities) need to have significant co-factors contributing. I'm almost 70 and healthy. I'd like to just get it and be done with it. Though the number of cases has risen, the death count has remained flat. I'm still bummed out about Merlefest being cancelled last April.
Okay, I just looked this one up: Dr. Jay Bhattacharya, MD, PhD, from the Stanford University School of Medicine recently shared that the survival rate for people under 70 years of age is about 99.95 percent.
I wouldn't try getting Covid at you age there is far more to it than just who is dying this does damage to the body a 70 year old might never recover from.
what Mics were used for these ?
Well, you can always crunch up some saltines in it. But if it's cold it's rurnt anyway.
Ye squash I mean.
; )
Lovely guitar and harmonies, and I know they aren't your lyrics but what is "going home from work" supposed to be rhyming with?
squash freezes well.....
What is that eight string guitar behind Sierra?
Octave mandolin.
I Get Charged Cien Great Women Lately.
Rancid!!!
*Sierra + Molly = "The Pick-les"!!! :) :) :)* - *TIGERMIKE*
Squash goes around like Christmas fruit cake.
I would take the squash over the fruitcake any time
