With SD being as redundant as it is no suprise the ratings are horrendous. Soon even when Roman is on the show the ratings ain't going to improve. SD is that stale.
Won’t happen because Roman isn’t full time anymore and has sporadic appearances thru out the year and whenever he is on ppl will tune in bcuz he’s that much of a special attraction.
DAMN Britt Baker comes back from said injury, and she's already caught in a controversy backstage, she can't catch a break 😭😭😭
I rather just have Bryan Saxton back to commentary with Graves and Cole paired with Barrett. Or since Big E not wrestling bring to commentate
This is JR9's NXT Round Up for the Go Home show to No Mercy which was taped last week.
Positives:
Fatal Influence started the show picking up a victory against Meta Four. The finish saw Lash take out Jazmyn on the outside but got caught with Jacy's rolling encore (Discus Forearm) as she got in the ring. Jacy tagged Fallon in & they hit a Basement kick & running knee combo for the victory.
Off to the right start for the group with a win, now hopefully HBK continues the momentum.
Couple more notes their theme was fine on 1st listen but would need a more clear version to decide on it.
Fallon does need to change her gear though the cowgirl look doesn't match the group but that's the only real issue at the moment as obviously Jacy/Jazmyn look the part already.
Jaida had a good sit down interview with Sarah Schreiber. Jaida talked about her past as an athlete & then her quick rise over the past year.
Jaida said she is ready for Sunday, Rok-C then interrupted & told Sarah to leave the interview & Rok-C took her set. Rok-C said congrats less than year from debut & big title match, confident challenger ready as ever. Jaida told her to continue loving g the praise.
Rok-C however said she wasn't talking about her & was instead talking about Lola as that was her story & also Thea's with the redemption thing & everybody seems to have a story when it comes to challenging for her title, but the stories always end in disappointment.
Rok-C said Jaida is a future champ as she has it all but one thing she isn't the prodigy & on Sunday she will find out there is no one better than her. Jaida responded telling Rok-C she is going to slap the taste out of her mouth.
As Rok-C said she'd like to her try Jaida got up & delivered a devastating slap that dropped Rok-C off her chair & onto the floor.
Jaida then stared off camera seemingly looking at someone & said I've heard about you & you can get some too before walking off. It cut to Rok-C on the floor who also saw the person & seemed intimidated.
Enjoyed this as although it's heel vs heel Jaida showed how good she is on the mic in her interview so confident with no issues. Liked Rok-C playing the arrogant heel & that slap was executed so damn well, hopefully they can deliver on Sunday even with heel/heel dynamic.
As for the individual they were looking at it surely has to be either Giulia or Vaquer who hopefully finally confront Rok-C post match & this was just a small tease.
As this would be a pointless part of the segment if it isn't that, regardless this was simplistic segment but really effective in putting Jaida over.
Tony D & Oba Femi had a face to face inside of Tony's restaurant as Oba had marched into his room & Tony was informed by family members during the 6 person tag earlier in night. A good back & forth from both to hype their match at No Mercy which should be good.
Like this as finally the restaurant makes it's return & it had to as that type of segment is what made Tony stand out in the 1st place as it just fit with the Mafia gimmick he has. So happy to see it back & was a way better way to build this match than what a normal promo would've been.
Joe Hendry concert closed the show. This time the song was about Ethan Page. Joe started with "Ethan is the champ and I'm afraid to say I don't even want to show you how he stays in shape" An photo of Ethan in his underwear appeared.
Joe continued with "There's costumes in his bedroom, figures on the shelves but he gets most excited when he's playing with himself & now Joe wins the title because we've had enough, Ethan likes to workout dressing up". With more embarrassing photos to go with it.
Joe ended the song getting the crowd to sing the main part with him which was "Ethan sucks, believe in Joe, Ethan put on some clothes".
Ethan interrupted after that part went on for a little bit & got major heat. Ethan told the crowd the singalong is over before starting to insult Joe.
The crowd however started singing the main part whilst he was trying to speak which just kept getting under the skin of Ethan.
Ava then interrupted & said due to Ethan manhandling referees last week Trick will be the special guest ref for the match on Sunday.
Trick came out & Ethan tried to attack Hendry but got dropped by the standing Ovation.
Pete Dunne was then shown at entrance ramp & he said Trick may not make it to Tuesday where they are supposed to face off again. Joe posed with the title to end the show.
Liked this segment the concert part especially Joe just knows how to get you invested in his segments & the crowd continuing to sing it to Ethan proved how captivating he is. Ethan as always played his role perfectly.
Unlike Seth at Summerslam this actually fits since Trick has actually history to get back to with Ethan. Plus this most likely will see Dunne attack Trick during to match which probably allows Ethan to win.
Possibly with help from TNA'S Josh Alexander who could cost Hendry since that's a story in TNA & Alexander/Ethan used to be a tag team.
Either way like this addition to the match as it actually adds more options creatively.
Negatives:
Karmen defeated Issi Dame in a short match. Reason this is a negative is due to how it ended as Karmen beat Issi to a Rollup.
Would've been fine with Karmen winning any other way as due to their height difference it ain't believable for Issi to lose that way.
D'Angelo Family beat No Quarter catch crew in a 6 person mixed tag match. Right winners but they have been facing each other for like 3 months so couldn't get behind another match. Hopefully this is the end of it but yeah just a waste of time.
Wes & Zachary Wentz had a face to face to hype up their match on Sunday. Unfortunately their line delivery just wasn't that great, like the material was fine talking about their friendship & how Wes ruined it with the turn.
Just felt their mic skills let them down Zachary was better than Wes but just felt like both weren't comfortable in that position. Hopefully the match is a lot better than the promos have been.
Kelani defeated Rosemary from TNA in a quick but very sloppy match. The idea of Wendy choosing someone for Kelani to face was a good concept just a shame the match let it down. Rosemary was very slow & struggled in the match with barely any chemistry with Kelani.
Kelani won too quick aswell at around 4 min mark so didn't exactly make Rosemary look good. Post Match Wendy choked out Kelani which I didn't mind but the rest of it just wasn't good.
Je'von Evans lost to Joe Coffey after a few distractions by Gallus. Je'von had tons of momentum coming out of Heatwave so not a fan of them not building on from it & just having lose to Coffey. Coffey does need a few wins but so does Je'von so this was a bad idea from the jump.
Overall:
Mixed bag but had it's good moments with Fatal Influence, Jaida & Tony D's short segments& the end of the show was strong with Joe Hendry's concert. So a decent last bit of build towards No Mercy even with the negatives. Will have a special round up for No Mercy itself.

They should've put Byron Saxton back on commentary.
I was never surprised for raw and SmackDown for ratings wise cause it’s quite obvious 😅, also joe tessitore was actually great over at espn on his take in the sports world so I can see that as a decent W.
WWE adding an additional PC facility in Vegas would make more sense than just completely ditching the Orlando one.
Especially for all the crew/talents that would have relocate.
Khan is forcing baker out of aew. All of the heels in smackdown outside of the new bloodline are all buried.
Even the new bloodline bro is not drawing,or saving the numbers.let be honest the members of new bloodline are all irrelevant,unpopular,and they not that interesting to watch,mosf of the fans are not hooked in thos new bloodline story unless roman shows up .they reason why the new bloodline is still the top is because the is a promise that roman will be back to interact with them nothing special about them.when roman left after mania smackdown rating went from 2.4m 😂 plus normal view down to 1.5m they are two smackdown in the garden where they took out heyman and the one match with Nia vs jade Cargill where they obtained higher rating of 1.9 million still lower than the normal rate since it always from 2.4 up wards. No roman no ratings.during the last two appearances of roman return to smackdown they went from 1.6m to 2.6 plus million.the show is stale as wack.
Britt probably came back too soon from her mini stroke. Having a match at Wembley vs Mercedes was a bad move after only a few matches back. Definitely why she was off her game as much as she was.
TK should've saved the match for later in the year once the ring rust had completely gone.
Having RAW taped for the aftermath show is an awful idea to begin with, spoilers from Crown Jewel will leak . Horrible Idea
Change things up for the commentary team. Let's get some new young blood in there. Criteria, love wrestling, this will bring the energy, and they will know what they are talking about. Obviously, they will be rough, but the energy can carry them until they learn what they need to know.

What Up BC! This new commnetator coming in the WWE should be extremely careful because WWE fans are VERY critical on what have to hear on tv. I so wish the guy luck and he will need it. Smackdown doesn't surprise me about the ratings I myself couldn't watch it a football game was on but I'm kinda happy I didn't see it....SD as of late has been a snoozefest and RAW hasn't been much better. Britt Baker seems to be more interested in her dentistry instead of pro wrestling. Ever since she came back from her injury she isn't as into what she seemed to once love......I don't know if it's the animostiy of the other ladies or it's just her.....But something feels off and different and I really hope she finds her way in life......Great vid and as always Keep On Rockin' BC!
Ricochet lost in his debut match at all in so of course he’s gonna be starting off with a Match that’s just for 5 stars from meltzer in AEW or it’ll be in a second hr😂. Why cant tony khan just take his time by letting him have a chance to speak his mind to cut a promo segment tonight instead of just already wasting his potential.

I take venturas word over vince or hogans. Hogans stories lie all the time. Ventura stay consistent. And he’s a baby seal and they wrestlers so Jesse more tough. Plus he was in wars. Vince just looked out for his pocket like big nose is.
For years Joe Tessitore he did excellent commentary and play by play on Friday Night Fights ESPN2 for probably about 8 years Real good commentary guy
