Barbara that’s what amazes me. The fact that she does slow down. When you’re in those positions you want to get out of them quickly but she just holds them. So difficult!
Her technique and the way she presents herself on stage awes and amazes me but what amazes me even more is that even though the orchestra started the music too fast and she couldn't get into her first position in time and started late, she improvised and she made it look good without any hint of nervousness. Miko is probably one of best ballerinas of this generation
to top off her ridiculous amazingness.... the orchestra started way too early and she did a really good job covering that up and slightly altering the beggining of the piece
She is one of those rare and special dancers!. Such a technique... combined with attack and a grace and breadth of feeling that even current prima ballerinas sadly lack!!!Love her!!
It 100% lacked enjoyment and passion. It was all technique, which is only about 25% of what dancing is, as an art form. What are you even saying, attack? is this a new ballet buzz word?? because it needs to be removed from the repertoire. Ballet is expression, NOT TECHNIQUE. Jesus, it's why i can't go see it anymore.

THAT ladies and gentlemen is ESMERALDA personified right there. All the passion, fire, sensuality, and gypsylike characteristics in ONE performance.. Thank you Miko, for showing us how that SHOULD be danced. Bravo!!!
What is amazing for me about this girl is that despite all the technical and body abilities she has, everything looks natural and not a show off kinda thing. Also kudos on dealing like a pro with the music at the begining - not a lot of 16 years olds would be able to cope with that like nothing happened.
0:58 her strength is insane, she looks like she's just placing her leg behind her head, not like she needs momentum to swing it that high Also I love the energy in her facial expressions, she brings the piece so much life!
Miko, I am amazed by your strength. First to dedicate yourself so much to this art, and then to realize it was not what you wanted and give it up and fight for a new dream. You are a role model.

I see passion and love of dance in her. Without passion and love for dancing one cannot possibly get perfect technique. She spent hours upon hours of her time to perfect technique. Its not fun, its tedious, its hard, its painful, and she had to do it everyday. If she had no passion she would've not progressed and probably quit already. Kudos to her, she is a lovely dancer.

The thing I notice most, is that her timing is always near perfect (precise and exacting). For someone who lacks serious muscle tone or physique, her control is really impressive.

Her ability to "slow down" the descent of her leg after such high extensions takes tremendous strength. Beautiful port de bras. Impressive for 16.

Impressive how she pulled off the beginning. But we also have to remember the orchestra players are people too and make mistakes.
It was likely the conductor, not the actual orchestra, that jumped the gun. But she covered up for it fine.
