Chris Farley and John Candy are my all time favourite comedians, so I’m so happy with today’s vlog. I’ve watched a lot on Chris’ life too and this vlog is both different and interesting than what is out there. I think about how great of a dad he would have been.
One of my absolute favs ❤️ I met him in a restaurant in Chicago when I was a kid, not too long before he passed away I believe ❤️ Rest in Heaven Chris Farley🕊️
Chris Farley.... i adored him. Even watching this vlog, i find myself laughing at the stories of his antics throughout life. A sense of humor and a kind heart are the most beautiful of qualities a person can have. “Housekeeping??.. you want me to fluff your pillows?” Never gets old. Love you Chris Farley. ⭐️
Welcome to the Midwest Jordan! Thank you for coming to Wisconsin and paying tribute to Chris. I visited his grave but not the other sites you featured. He was indeed one of SNL’s best ever. Gone far too soon.
The first two of his movies I saw was Tommy Boy and Black Sheep. Then I saw Beverly hills Ninja. He was a phenomenal actor and comedian. R.I.P. Chris Farley.
Hi, amazing how your channel has grown!!! you deserve it... a few days ago I was thinking about Chris.
I was 6 years old when my mother passed away, and I saw 'Beverly Hills ninja' he gave me a lot of laughs and joy, I love you forever Chris!!!, Thank u jordan for this video. you are amazing!!!
Chris was very special, one of a kind. I have never seen him of course, but I did see his brother Kevin in Los Angeles in 2015, and he resembles Chris. Glad that happened!
I enjoyed this video I myself is a overweight dude have been since the age of 10 or 11 and growing up I use to watch a lot of Saturday night live and Chris was my favorite because he gave us big guys hope that we could make it some how or atleast not scared to embrace being big i use to watch every movie he was in. In my eyes he was one of a kind and that’s a rare thing RIP Chris Farley your never forgotten Tommy Boy 4 Lyfe
What a funny guy. He gave us alot of laughs. Sad ending to a man that brought so much joy. Thanks for honoring our, Tommy Boy, Lunch lady, and Matt Foley.
That was the new Chris Farley Haven house. They demolished the old outpatient center for a new inpatient one. His positive legacy continues! Great vlog!
Right! For other viewers, the new building videoed at 24:05, replaced and expanded the previous Hope Haven -Chris Farley House. Construction started in winter 2019 and is now called the 'New Hope Haven-Chris Farley House'. It is still sponsored by Catholic Charities of Madison.
I agree with you, Jordan, Chris was the best on Saturday Night Live. I loved the skit with him and Patrick Swayze dancing. Cracked me up so much. Tommy Boy was an all time favorite movie that I could watch all the time. Ironic it mirrored his own life. "Tommy want wingy" still has me laughing to this day. Btw house on the rock is fabulous!!! Thank you for a truly great vlog. Chris is always in our hearts. "For the love of God" lol another quote of his. Safe travels and much love to you and Jah ❤❤❤🦁
I find this so ironic! Earlier today, I was just thinking about Chris and back when I visited his grave about how I stood there in silence and awe for like 10 minutes straight...unreal. What a wonderful way to keep his memory alive. He sure is missed.
Chris was so funny! I still remember when I heard the bad news on the radio. He was one of the greats! Matt Foley was awesome! I always loved the skit with Patrick Swayze where they are both trying out for Chipendales.
Yes his Matt Foley character was always hilarious. He would tell the parents who were trying to help to 'shut your pie hole'. I liked him in Beverly Hills Ninja playing a goofball from Wisconsin.
"I live in a van down by the river" ..😂RIP CHRIS..comedy at its finest..loved him with spade in black sheep..classic! He was going to voice SHERK...Mike myers said he was honored to take Chris Farley part..awesome as always Jordan😎
I always thought Chris Farley was a funny, funny man - but knew nothing about his childhood or family life. Thanks for sharing his story with this wonderful tribute, Jordan!
While I was doing my undergraduate degrees at the University I went to, I did the Matt Foley skit. I found a matching suit and bought it in extra large. To make me seem overweight (I was 6'3" tall and weighed 215 with 6% body fat as I was a walk on split end/H-Back for our football team) we duct taped pillows underneath the extra large shirt I wore under the suit. We even bought a break away coffee table. We memorized the skit "word for word" and performed it on a visit weekend for prospective students. There were about 5,000 potential students and their parents in the crowd (the university I went to had 51,000 undergraduate students and roughly 12,000 grad students when I was a student). I was nervous, but it brought down the house and got a standing ovation. Thanks for posting a video in memoriam of one of the most genius comedians of our generation, Jordan! I love your videos, and you remind me a lot of myself. Cheers mate, JTG
Yes Jordan is one of the great channels. Loved the Chippendale's skit with Farley and Swayze it is a classic. John, I was raised where the kind of handshake a man had, gave the insight to his integrity.
@@rockingal9520 I agree, Chris was one of the legends, he left us way too soon. I was raised to shake hands firmly and to look a person in the eye. Where a "handshake contract" is better than any paper contract. Respect, honor, integrity and class.
Chris is my all time favorite SNL actor . He is the only one I can rewatch over & over again & still laugh. Thanks for vlogging this one Jordan. RIP Chris Farley🥀
It was funny researching this how many actors had funny moments of remembering chris trying to make them laugh and blow the skit live on the air.. especially the pepper skit with adam sandler
"I live in a van down by the river." We have a local DJ I have listened to for years now in town who wound up getting divorced. He and his ex had 2 kids. He had to leave the home; he would play clips of the quote at times. We do have a rather large river here in West Michigan in our town, so it would crack me up when I heard him play that on my way to work. Great vlog today.
When I saw his beautiful childhood home, the first thing that popped into my mind was a fantasy of Chris and his own little family (had they existed), walking up that sidewalk to visit the folks. Perhaps that could have saved him - to fall in love and have children, to give him something to live for. His passing is a hard one to swallow, to this day - loved by so many, so full of brilliance and yet so careless with his gift as to let the dark side claim him - it chaps my hide! Why is it so many of the greats are so self-destructive - it's a mystery. I admit to tearing up over this vlog, but I'm glad I saw it - as always, great work. You got me good with this one.
Great tribute to this legend. It is always admirable to pay tribute to or honor those you admire and appreciate. You did this so very well. Thank you for taking us to all these significant places for Chris Farley.
Jordan, I’m so sorry I missed you earlier this year. I live just outside Madison and would have loved to buy you lunch! This was a lovely and heartfelt tribute to Chris...your admiration of him shines through. Nicely done!
Always loved Chris. I was a fat kid and it can make for a hard life with ridicule and abuse. He was so sweet and funny. But I sensed the sadness. May he rest in peace and be happy. He's free now. We can watch him and still send our love. Thank you again Jordan.
Chris Farley is a Legend. What a great video Jordan. Loved this so much. He was very popular in my house growing up as kid. I can tell you truly respected and loved the guy. One of a kind. Again .. your spin on people and places is really a beautiful thing.❤
Probably my favorite character is Matt Foley! Miss Chris!! Still makes me a little sad!! Thanks Jordan!! I also enjoyed John Belushi!! Sadly so many comedians seem to be happy on the outside but sad in the inside!!
Farley was a comedy legend. I went to a taping of the Bill Maher tv show POLITICALLY INCORRECT in L.A. on Aug. 29, 1997 and Chris was a panelist on the program. He was actually in rehab at the time, but they let him out for the day to tape the show. He was absolutely brilliant and the only celebrity to come out after and meet audience members. Sadly, he was dead less than four months later.
You know Chris Farley had a likeable personality and was enjoyed by many whose star just shown too bright. I think that you Jordan could relate to the acting skillset that he had to learn. You just couldn't help but like the guy he carried that comedic style because he craved that attention which in addiction has its conditions that some cannot quite deal with. He strove to be loved by everyone and it cost him dearly. He is missed
Everytime Chris came came on T.V, it always brought joy and laughter into my heart. He was so talented, just like John Belushi. It saddens me to see his death photos on the internet. Drugs are a terrible thing.
I met Chris Farley by chance in Monrovia, California in 1994. I was rushing to catch up with friend. I literary RAN into him and David Spade. They had been in town filming a movie. I believe it was Tommy Boy? Anyway he was super cool about it but I was star stuck and just giggled and walked away,
I grew up with his comedy same as everyone my age, and absolutely adored the guy. It was such a tragic loss, man. I read that book The Uncensored History of SNL, and there are many insights into his personal life. He didn't just admire Belushi, he was obsessed, that was his hero. He was going through the wardrobe department and just thrilled to find a jacket that had been John's on the show and iirc he stole it from the costume department lol!
Thank you for your visit to his childhood home and stories from his life. Chris Farley seemed like such a funny but kind man. So sad that he didn't think as much of himself as we did. May he rest in peace.
Thank you Jordan! Another great vlog. I've always loved Chris. His ability to show vulnerability made him so much more than a comic actor. He could have done anything and would have been great at it. He would have been great as Fatty Arbuckle. God bless you Chris!
Hahaa..i remember that gap girls skit on snl..him with the fries🤣🤣...He made snl 100x funnier, him and Phil Hartman were my favorites, I lost track how many times I watched Tommy Boy..never gets old..Thanks for the vlog, Jordan...
Awwww Jordan thanks for sharing this vlog ❤ Chris Farley was the best I miss his funny acting in movies no one will replace him ever . You must of been freezing there 🤣❤
...thanks for this Jordan...seeing Chris' resting place , with his name on the marble face, hits hard...given his history of walking from his own treatment/re-habs, perhaps it's for the best his namesake facility is gone...lol...a giant of a man with the heart of a giant...R.I.P. Chris...
Hi Jordan, GEEZZ, it sure looks freezing where you are. Well, that's a house and a half to grow up in!! All those wreaths at the Cemetery looked beautiful and what a lovely grave with the crying woman statue. So sad that another great talent passed away so young and in a horrible way like that. Great vlog Jordan.
What an awesome tribute, Jordan! You are great at all the details of a story, you were even sounding like him. It is very sad that it doesn't say anything on his tomb, kinda disrespectful. Very heartbreaking that the rehab center in his name is no more. A very caring vlog, Jordan! ❤️
When I think of Chris Farley I always remember that skit on SNL when he was doing an "interview" with the real Paul McCartney. It was so funny because he was trying to act all cool but his character was so nervous he could hardly even ask a question without losing it whenever Paul made a response. He ended up beating himself up physically and emotionally because he was so in awe of Paul.
In the cemetery, the wreaths that are placed on the graves, they are veterans. We have a military cemetery in our city, and volunteers place them on the graves every Christmas. That is a great place to spend eternity! The last 2 graves were beautiful. TY!
Rest In Peace dear Chris Farley you are greatly missed 🥳🥰🌙🇺🇸great vlog today Jordan loved it and loved Chris!! So stay safe and safe travels🌸🌼🌺🧁🦕🍎🎶🎉🎸🍎🌻🌻👩🏻💻
Jordan, great video in Chris's memory and honor. I remember exactly where I was when it was announced on my car stereo. Chris died on the same day of my Father, December 18th. The video made me so sad but remembering his humor also made me laugh. Chris, wherever you are, I miss you so much. You are NEVER FORGOTTEN sweet soul. Thank You for all the laughs that still stay with me till this day. RIP Brother🤘
Love Love Christ Farley and yes he sure did make moments in my 90's years much brighter, Him, John Candy, The belushie's broke some of the stigma attached to being a heavy person in hollywood acting as well. Love them!
Awesome this made me so happy and sad to see I love Chris Farley he was and still is my favorite comedian it breaks my heart knowing how he died and there is still a legacy that he left behind it's his comedy and it shows that you can make it to fame you have to work hard at it that's how I see it.
You were in my neck of the woods! I'm in Milwaukee. You have to stop by, we have lots of cool stuff here. I've never been to Circus World, but The House on the Rock is unbelievable! You HAVE to go there. Give Jah a kiss & hug for me. Safe travels. 🙋💙✌🐕🐾
It's hard to believe that he has been gone for that long..he was a very good guy and actor. I love him on SNL talking about living in a van down by the river.lol. that was a very wonderful vlog Jordan.
Thank you for doing Chris. I absolutely love this guy. I remember watching him on Saturday night live. His movies are great too. Very funny guy. He is missed.
I thought so too, but I didnt leave the camera on it too long when I saw what it was for (victims of abortion).. I didnt really want this to turn into a big political commentary by people on a video about Chris' life
Great episode. Not sure if someone in the comments have mentioned this yet, but the newly built apartment structure at the end of the segment about the “farley house” was actually a very good ending because what you were seeing was the new and improved Farley house rehab center. The old houses were demolished and a state of the art center was built in its place.
I loved the chipendale skit Chris did with Patrick Swayzee. Both of these greats are sadly missed.
I agree ! Miss those two!
Remember seeing it live on SNL chipendale skit was hoot laugh so hard
Jan Hooks is gone, too. (the female judge).
That was the best RIP Chris n Patrick
That
Chris Farley is so missed. He brought us to tears with laughter.
@Red Balloon Yes! We would laugh until our sides hurt!
So sad. He made others laugh but I don’t believe he was ever really happy. Thank you Jordan for taking us on this trip.
Was fully expecting to see a van down by the river as like a joke edit ... Haha

Awesome this made me so happy and sad to see I love Chris Farley he was and still is my favorite comedian it breaks my heart knowing how he died and there is still a legacy that he left behind it's his comedy and it shows that you can make it to fame you have to work hard at it that's how I see it.
Chris Farley. Was so awesome and funny. And he made the perfect wife for Adam Sandler. In SNL. I freaking loved him. R.I.P gorgeous angel.
WOW!! ~ What a great production. I've been a long time fan of his since day one.
You were in my neck of the woods! I'm in Milwaukee. You have to stop by, we have lots of cool stuff here. I've never been to Circus World, but The House on the Rock is unbelievable! You HAVE to go there. Give Jah a kiss & hug for me. Safe travels. 🙋💙✌🐕🐾
We’re very fortunate to have someone like you to show us all this cool stuff and tell stories!! God Speed Chris
Chris Farley was the BEST there will never be another!
That was the coolest tombstone, with the woman kneeling and crying.
I will Always Love Chris!❤️🔥✨
He was a very funny man, sad, Jordan thank you.
