    Your UA-cam channel has saved my bacon. We bought a 5th wheel and so much was wrong. My wife wasn’t happy to say the least in me but, after finding you here and your professional and excellent way of explaining things…. I’ve been able to fix the things wrong with our unit. Upper management is super happy. You’re an awesome instructor. Thank you I salute 🫡 you sir.

    Awesome content. I love all your stuff and have learned a lot. One thing here, not all WH will have an AC element, so will not have an AC thermostat. My old RV was LP only. Just for those that may not know.

    Darren & Dakota thank you for doing what you do. I have no experience or training with electrical, motors, water heaters, furnace ... shall I go on? Your ability to explain the overall concept of a system, break it down into manageable parts and then reinforce and summarize before you move onto the next stage is exceptional. I must also mention Dakota's filming ability to bring into focus the small parts and difficult angles which enhance the learning and understanding. Thank you for helping me understand my RV🤗

    Darren, Thanks for the excellent video information. I am wondering and would like to see how you remove the anode rod when it is rusted into the tank fitting. An impact gun will normally work but I am concerned about damaging the tank more. A lot of seniors with older rvs would rather not replace the anode than chance more damage expense. Thanks for every thing, Charles.

    What is inside the tank that rusts ? If glass coated ? The pressure relief valve ? The Anode rod ?

    Why do you need the air in the top of the water heater? What are the signs that you need to burp it?

    What's your opinion on the tankless water heaters. I installed a furrion tankless water heater in my RV and it quit working in 2 days. Any good brands or are they all junk.
    Thanks

    Absolutely perfect video. It's helping my on my DIY journey of figuring out why my old SW6D water heater isn't working. (If I lived in Washington, I'd hire on instantly!)
    In the meantime, I looked for your next video where you promised to show individual parts and how to test them to see if they've failed. I looked on the playlist, but can't find it. Can you tell me where it is? Thanks!

    hey, can I eliminate the propane feature by capping the propane feed and just cutting the 3 wires leading to the spark module on the right?

    I would love to get your opinion on something I've been thinking about. My current Suburban water heater is fine/operating normally but I'm considering going tankless in my RV. The only reason I haven't swapped it out all ready is 1. its not broken and 2. I like having options. I don't want to loose my electrical option. So here is my work around and I would love to know your thoughts about it. I purchased a 2.64 GPM propane tankless water heater and my plan is to plumb it into the existing water plumbing (on a valve) just prior to entering the water heater. My thought is the existing water heater becomes a 6 gallon / 23 litter mixing vessel and should be fine being fed 125 Fahrenheit / 50 Celsius water vs. whatever the ground water temperature happens to be (in my case, about 60F/16C). Does something immediately jump out to your as a concern?
    If you think this is a stupid idea, I'll just swap it out with the Suburban IW60 (unless you have a better recommendation (or affiliate link *hint*hint*)). Should I have any concern about feeding it he additional 48k btu's of propane the new one consumes?

      Did you get an answer yet?

    • @mondavou9408
      @mondavou9408 2 роки тому

      @@davidphilpott31 No - thanks for asking. I did back fed my plumbing system with my tankless as a proof of concept and it worked (great, long, hot, shower without pressure drop) although temp control was a little tough and front loaded. It will work. I just need to think through the valve (and check valve) a little more.

    What is the best way to wash the hot water heater out? Should vinegar be used to flush it?
