I’m about to attempt to do the same thing on my DR350SE. One question is when you are taking the clutch off, you come across the big bolt and I don’t know what size it is. Is it 27mm ? Next, my torque wrench doesn’t go as low as you are torquing these to. What digital torque wrench are you using? What gasket sealer are you using? Some people don’t use any but you did? I wish I knew the torque specs and I’m trying to find them. Thanks for the video, I’m no expert wrenches for sure so I’m a bit worried about trying this myself. Rick
Do you need a decompression lever for the dr350? Also are thw parts the same as the drz400? Was gonna just order that as a kit. Just got a 97 dr350se with 7600 miles on it and wanna add a kickstart as a backup!!
Założyliście już ten silnik? Bo pamiętam, że też dałem te 40-60Nm na sprzęgle, jak kazał Pan Serwisówka i ciągnęło jak cholera. Finalnie dokręciłem delikatnie, tylko palcami (tak, jak był przykręcony, gdy odkręcałem), zaklepałem pierścień i działa ideolo.
Na dniach mamy zamiar robić podmiankę. Jak będzie ciągnać to można w pierwszej kolejności obrócić podkładki po obu stronach kosza sprzęgłowego. Podczas dokręcania bieżnia kosza wgryza się w podkładki, przez co podkładki zbliżają się do siebie i zaciskają się po obu stronach kosza sprzęgłowego. Albo wymiana na nowe :)
There is one seller in Poland with many DR350S/SE parts. I think he has a few bikes to disassembly. We paid around 100 euros for the kickstarter kit. There is only small problem with kick starter lever ... there is a lot of free play and inner spline is in poor condition. We'll use our old kickstarter lever because it is in much better condition. Luckily there is no damage on kickstarter shaft spline, gears are also in good condition. We bought only 2 new parts: gasket and seal. Rest parts are used. I think that kickstarter fits all DR350 models.
In Austria. We bought parts from crashed DR 350SE (missing frame, front fork, front wheel, electrical wiring, cdi) You have to look on automotive advertisement portals.

We plan to use the CDI from the DR350S and the original wiring. We will need to add a starter relay, e-start button and some logic to make the engine start only when there is neutral gear or the clutch lever is pressed. Where did you get the parts from? Do you recomend someone i EU that have all the parts. Does parts from a earlier kick strart bike fit in a 94 SE?
