Hi Sergio, actually I didn't notice these artifacts until I listen very closely as they are barely audible. This was a very nice work comparing the three devices! Everything was clear and well explained. I think that the money for the value of Mooer products is extremely interesting, which is awesome for those who could not afford Kempers or Axes. Keep doing the great work!

Hi, thank you for sharing your opinion! Actually I never use noise suppressors...I feel kinda they kill all the dynamics in my sound...I mean I prefer noise that not been able to be expressive....if it makes sense. Nevertheless I agree with you, the GE labs is a great app... Thank you once more!

Great work Leo, and such an interesting video...!!! If I load your profile into my GE300, do I have to let the eq settings of the ge300 amp interface flat(noon) to achieve your sound?..thanks in advance
Hi, thank you!!! Yes, in theory you don't need any eq. I have not applied any eq other than cutting below 60hz in the mix, to live space to the bass and the kick drum. Thank you for your question.
The GE is really close and being free is a huge plus. I believe the Kemper is brilliant but is way over priced and out of reach for most musicians. Excellent comparison tho!! Love your explanations and amazing tone!!
Thanks for the video! Very useful! Kemper is a great machine but ge labs is a contender for recording and it's free. Kemper is a solid company that can expand the possibilities of his machines with further updates. Kemper profiler is a pedalboard and you can go directly on the stage. Moreover you can record DI signal and reamp later. It comes with so many possibilities. Maybe the in future Ge Labs will be an Hardware..
Excelente!
Hi Stefan, thank you for sharing your opinion with us! I would also take into consideration that the GE Labs has been released since few weeks, so there is a lot of space for improvement. Another consideration is that I can't be completely sure that is a fault of the app or of my audio interface while doing the profile...Thank you for your message!
Bet you are a Kemper user. Damb the kemper sounds like shit these days to me. Same here. Muddy and fuzzy vs the real thing. Ps. I don't really enjoy it in real life as well.
Grazie Luigi! Thank you Luigi, the clean sounds of he demo song have been done using the profiles of the clean channel of the Lone Star. Thank you for your message!
To be honest, I think the GE labs sounded better extremely close, somehow better than Kemper during the direct comparison! Thanks Leo for doing that. I just subscribed to your channel.
That is an interesting artifact and catching it was pretty nicely done. I think that maybe having just three eq controls isn't going to be enough to get close to the original amp sound. I'm surprised that the EQ sweeping algorithms aren't better at nailing a tube amp. I had a Kemper briefly once a while back and I did one profile of my amp and I recall that it was pretty close probably within 90% sounding like the original amp. I think it might be very difficult to get that last bit because you're going to have to depend on preamps, cables and how they affect the sound of the profile capture. I'm guessing the Kemper's preamp is pretty flat across the frequency spectrum. You will also have an issue where everyone is listening on less than ideal speaker systems or maybe don't even realize that headphones are not ideal at adjusting the captured model.
Price means everything for so many people. Evereybody knows how kemper is great but they only can afford to ge labs. Riches goes kemper poor students like me thanks to mooer for free ge labs everyday ✌
It's not about the money anymore. In the mix, it is IMPOSSIBLE to tell what you are using. Same thing for live performances. Therefore Mooer gear is the way to go, unless you care about gear pride and showing off... I can't help you with that. : )

Thank you for liking my videos...I'm really trying to do my best keeping them going...I'm curious, may I ask you what videos do you prefer: gear demo, pedalboard comparisons or just songs? Thank you for your message!
Hey Leo! I have a quick question for you as I recently acquired a GE250. You mentioned in this video that you heard a subtle "hiss" or "artifact" in the GE LABS profile. I'm noticing that all the GNR samples I download from mooer studio cloud (generated with GE LABS), when imported to the ge250, they have this "digital artifact" to them, and in some it is pretty noticeable. Do you hear this also? Do you know if mooer is planning on doing something about it? Thanks Leo!
Hi Marcelo, unfortunately I don't know if Mooer is planning upgrades...I can say that I have purchased a new M1 Mac and I'm pretty curious to make some profiles with the app running in the Mac...as it would allow to use much better audio interfaces...and therefore enacting the profiles... Thank you for your message!

I just can't tell which one you're showing

Leo, do you think the downsides of the GE labs are because hardware and software or because the profiles are made differently? what about doing the same experience with profiled amps in the GE300 vs kemper vs original. keep the good work
Hi Filipe, I don't have a clear answer, for sure the audio interface I'm using is not top notch and when and if a PC/MAC is gonna be released I can enhance the level of the profiles. I can download the sample file in the GE 300, but actually the GE 30 cannot make these type of profiles that have to be done using the GE Labs app. Thank you for your question and your interest in my channel!
@@LeoGibsonGtr I did my profiles with a cheap focusrite. I have also an RME but I want to test it ¨real world¨ as it´s going to be to so many guitar players. I´ll probably release a video about my profiling experience with the app. But I really want to know how much a dedicated DSP processor affects the overall tone.
well, they are different. dynamics, sustain, high freq grain - even don`t know is it worth to buy their preamp x2. Can you make comparison video of mooer multieffect processor and preamp 2x and kemper profiles?
I think profiling software is at a distinct disadvantage in this type of comparison. Imagine if an interesting/complex tone was first created in the software. And then the test was how well an amp could simulate that tone. I think the amp would fail miserably. We are now at a time where software can far exceed what a traditional can do - provided the goal it to create a great sound, and not to simply imitate an amp.
Hi, thank you for sharing your opinion with us! I would add that software company should create their own amp, with their own sound...I think Neural DSP is trying to do something similar....with nice results. Thank you for your message!
I actually have the Marshall JVM 410 Joe Satriani head, and a Peavey XXX, both of which are beasts, but believe it or not, the Triple XXX combo amp stomps all over the Marshall. However, the Marshall has much better clean sounds.
That being said, I am tired, and getting too old to lug all this equipment around. I'm going to start running direct to the PA. I'm seriously considering the Boss GT 1000 for that. You have an opinion about that?
Hi, I think the GT 1000 is a good option...there are nice simulation of Fenders, Marshalls and VOX. One Mesa Boogie, but I don't think it's a Lone Star simulation, as far as I know. Thank you for your message!
The real Lone Star sings. The Kemper does a good job, the GE sounds just ok . The distortion thing is pretty annoying. But for a hobbist / student it would be a best buy. Good tune!

Leo, maybe you will do some video about yourself? I would be interested to see And maybe add some info about guitars that you are using it in your demos. And about some of your audio stuff. Some kind like that
Hi, my guitars and audio staff are a pretty interesting topic in my opinion, very good suggestion! Actually I wanted to do a video about my whole home studio since a long time...but I never found the time... As regards myself...I've promised that I will reveal my nationality as soon as I will get 10k subs....if ever...😊, in that video I can add some info about my story...even if I'm a little bit on the "shy side"...so it's gonna be pretty difficult to talk about myself... Thank you for your message and for the interest in my channel and my music: really appreciated!
Hi Patrizio, thank you for your suggestion. I'm not sure I can attach a UAD apollo interface to an iPad pro...but I will chek it out. Thank you for your suggestion!
@@LeoGibsonGtr I forgot to mention that only the iPad Pro 2018 and 2020 have USB-C. Btw, they are also able to power the device through USB like the computer does (but probably the Apollo has it's own power adapter, so it doesn't matter).
Hi, thank you for your message and your suggestion. I'm not fully convinced, for 2 reasons: 1) I had to raise the gain also for the Kemper 2) The GE Labs app tells you with a specific message if levels are too low. Nevertheless I will try to verify once more. Thank you!
Leo Gibson on the screen of Mooer Ge Labs it clearly shows pretty nothing in imput level :) I say it because when I plug my Apogee Jam Plus on my iPad the input level automatically go low and sometimes when I forget to level it correctly I have the same issue, loosing gain but worse, loosing dynamic and punch on humbuckers :) BTW I love your videos, I enjoy all of them, mines are just 1% of yours in term of quality and content.
Thank you Luigi, some competition between brands is more than welcome! Thank you for your message and your interest in the channel!
This. I totally agree. The guitar signal going into the iPad is very low. If it had been increased in the audio interface to a normal level (that's why the app has those vumeters...), he shouldn't have had to turn up the gain as he did. And there would have been more dynamic range, etc. But even with that poor setting, GE Labs sounded good.
This is a typical example of where Chinese reverse engineering fails. There is always an element left out or undiscovered in analyzing/decoding the original product. The GE’ s sound is nowhere near as good as the Kemper. It sounds digitized. Even Fractal’s FM unit sounds better and more like the real amp.
I am confused as to how you made these profiles, as the GE labs gives you an opportunity to gain, volume, and eq match by ear during the profiling process, so I'm confused as to how at least two of these things were very of when you first tried. Unless you didn't bother to profile them at the same settings as you're comparing them, in which case I wonder why. Now you're comparing how similar the gain and eq knobs on the unit are to this specific amp, which seems meaningless to me at least.
almost sound identical. I could not hear which is which if i close my eyes. Excellent playing too my brother

Hi, thank you for sharing your findings and for your suggestion....I will think about it.
Thanks!
kindly do a comparison with the bias fx2 n a real amp plz.it'll help many
Hi, thank you for your suggestion!
I think the kemper wins but it is incredible how the gelabs manages to get close in this way
Hi Fabio, GE Labs is pretty outstanding!
Excelent
Thank you Marcello!!!
This made me want to go buy a Mesa Boogie Lonestar.
:) ... it's a great amp...you won't regret it.
Good tune!
Thank you!
Great track.
Thank you Emmanuel!
good channel my friend!!!
Thank you, appreciated!!!
Exelent.
Thank you!
Hi, it is explained in this video: ua-cam.com/video/GSA9BSXaWng/v-deo.html
Grazie!
Leo, maybe you will do some video about yourself?
I would be interested to see
And maybe add some info about guitars that you are using it in your demos.
You should try with an iPad Pro that has the USB-C connector, to which you can attach the audio interfaces for PC/Mac.
Debating about where you are from. so far French or Italian are we close? BTW I love your videos
Thank you!!! Well, let's put it in this way: when I'll reach (if ever...) 10k subs...I will reveal my nationality ... 😊 Thank you for your message!
Looking forward to it...I have some ideas about your nationality...LOL...Greeting from Texas!
I accept bets...😊
I think somewhere between TV and VE, most likely TV....in the hills...
Grazie!
8:14 cool part :)
Thank you, I'm really happy that you like my song!!!
The compression on digital modelling is really apparent on this demo.
Hi, thank you for sharing your opinion with us!
You had input on mooer Ge Labs way too low dude :)
That’s why you did have to raise the gain... sound is way better when levels are right ;)
Hi, thank you for your message and your suggestion. I'm not fully convinced, for 2 reasons: 1) I had to raise the gain also for the Kemper 2) The GE Labs app tells you with a specific message if levels are too low. Nevertheless I will try to verify once more. Thank you!
Leo Gibson on the screen of Mooer Ge Labs it clearly shows pretty nothing in imput level :)
I say it because when I plug my Apogee Jam Plus on my iPad the input level automatically go low and sometimes when I forget to level it correctly I have the same issue, loosing gain but worse, loosing dynamic and punch on humbuckers :)
BTW I love your videos, I enjoy all of them, mines are just 1% of yours in term of quality and content.
Fractal = ALL
Hi, thank you for sharing your opinion with us!
There are going to be a few Kemper owners feeling sick right now...
Hi Dean, thank you for sharing!
Thank you Luigi, some competition between brands is more than welcome!
Thank you for your message and your interest in the channel!
Leo Sample your gear to GE Labs please
Hi...you are right...I have to do more profiles...Thank you for your message!
Leo Gibson love the video thx for posting
when it in fullmix, who care what amp or amp sim do u use
nice demo song
Thak you, appreciated!!!
The input on your ipad is to low should be alot higher
You still needed more gain on the GE labs
This is a typical example of where Chinese reverse engineering fails. There is always an element left out or undiscovered in analyzing/decoding the original product. The GE’ s sound is nowhere near as good as the Kemper. It sounds digitized. Even Fractal’s FM unit sounds better and more like the real amp.
Hi, thank you for sharing your opinion with us!
Ge labs and th u rig player is killing the kemper ,its.much cheaper and even more comfortable to carry mini ipad with irig hd 2
Hi, thank you for sharing your opinion with us!
The dynamic range of the GELabs is just awful to my ears compared to the other 2. Very weak.
Hi Paulo, thank you for sharing your opinion!
