I saw the sketch and immediately thought "This is written like a Yakuza substory".
The only issue is that if this was actually Yakuza, the fight would have happened at 0:28 and then Kiryu would have actually given this man emotional support and top tier therapeutic advice

japanese dialects are perfectly mutually intelligible, especially in the context of the tokyo dialect, which is standard. glaswegian too to be frank, there's just a small learning curve that most people are too uptight to try and get past

They're almost always speaking the Tokyo dialect in Yakuza, which is equivalent to London English. A Glaswegian with a thick accent can understand a Londoner, but it's not guaranteed to be the same the other way around.
So Osakans can understand Yakuza, but people from Tokyo might find it a little more difficult if the game was set in Osaka.

Play yakuza 0 its normally $20 dollars but it goes on sale regularly for like $5-8
Its more than well worth it at either price point i got it for $5 on a steam sale and it was the best $5 bucks of my life i felt like i was robbing sega with how good the deal was
@@thecultofcaged I'll second this but only if you play Yakuza Kiwami first. 0 should be played as a prequel about characters you already know, it's far less interesting otherwise. Especially Majima's backstory. His initial reveal in 0 should blow your mind but it won't have that effect on you if this is your first time seeing him.
