Killer of the Flower Moon has a Razzie worthy script and they were the first ones, after Devery Jacob, that decided NOT to pretend otherwise out of white guild.
Andrew Scott's snub is insane. As much as I love Barry Koeghan and was happy when he won the BAFTA for The Banshees of Inisherin, his performance in Saltburn (And I loved Saltburn) doesn't come close to what Scott brought to the table in All of Us Strangers. Coleman and Teo also gave good solid performances but they pale in comparison to the mastery that Scott brought to his role. Scott truly commanded every scene and it's silly to think that the film received 6 nominations and he was shut out. I'm keeping my fingers crossed and hope the Oscars nominate him. This could happen considering that Kristen Stewart was snubbed for SAG and BAFTA but still earned an Oscar nomination for Spencer. Similarly, Lady Gaga received SAG and BAFTA nominations for House of Gucci but was not recognized by the Oscars. Luckily for Scott, Dicaprio has been striking out at other awards shows despite the success of Killers of the Flower Moon. Plus, it must be said that Lily Gladstone's performance is was audiences have been raving about when it comes to the film. Furthermore, All of us Strangers has more momentum than Rustin and was more embraced by audiences and critics. On the other hand, Rustin was more polarizing. I could be wrong but I do think that Andrew Scott can easily earn an Oscar nomination for All of Us Strangers.
I think I'm one of the few who preferred his performance in the movie. I felt that his expression of unrequited love in the first two acts, leading to acceptance in the bar was very authentic.

I would love if the Oscars surprised everyone correcting Gladstone’s category despite her campaign in lead… she deserved the win in supporting but in lead I don’t think she even deserves the nomination to be honest. This year is stacked… Portman was amazing in May December and it’s not even being campaigned right cuz netflix is going for mulligan and benning, and people are hyping Gladstone for no reason…
fun. i watched the BAFTA noms this morning. This video in the airport was more chaotic than usual if that is an actual possibility haaa. I hope you do a follow-up as you were trying so hard to contain yourselves so that you didnt get flagged not to be boarded on your flight ha. I was waiting for your reactions to Lily Gladstone and Greta Gerwig snubs :). BAFTA was definitely not feeling Killers of the Flower Moon although it did get a nom for Best Film. I was mad that Andrew Scott, the lead of All of Us Strangers didn't get a nomination; he was the soul of that film. Zone of Interest didnt get as much love as expected. Sandra Huller double nominee though.
Charlize Theron ( only nominated in 2005) , Katy Bates, Al Pacino, Sandra Bullock, Jack Nicholson, Susan Sarandon, Matthew Mcconaughey and Jessica Chastain ( possibly more ) missed Bafta noms and they still got their Oscars so Bafta nominations are not a big deal.
Lilly Gladstone was too confident. Who's idea was it to campaign her in lead actress. Shes not a lead in killers of the flower moon. Shes a supporting actress in this film. She could have easily won best supporting actress if she campaigned in the supporting actress category
She has more minutes of screen time in that movie than Margot Robbie does in Barbie. I get that she straddles the line but she certainly does enough to warrant it and is functionally the lead female character. Many have won lead acting Oscars for less. She definitely still has a good chance of winning and the narrative of being the first indigenous actor to win the award helps her. I think it was a smart move if it pays off, and if it doesn't pay off I'm not so sure that going supporting would have saved her
I do think what happened was that the British Academy voters watched the movie and then wondered why they were expected to consider this supporting performance as a lead
@@singstreetcar5881my point is that you're valuing percentages in the film, whereas I'm saying that she does as much work in that film as most lead performances. I could see her going in both categories, and it's really not that crazy for her to go lead. Olivia Colman won a few years ago even though she is not the protagonist of the favourite. This stuff happens
Watching out for him but still not confident. Predicting the three R actors, Mark Ruffalo (totally feels like an Oscar “save”), and then on a limb Sterling K. Brown
Takeaways: 1. Dominic and Fantasia are looking like nom contenders. 2. May December and the actors are history. 3. Emma is a frontrunner. 4. Jeffrey Wright is the 5th spot. 5. Lily’s wining chances are done.
1. They do not, they were jury picks. The important thing here is to understand which 3 choices were the ones voted by the entire Academy and which 3 were Jury picks. 2. This was clear already in the long lists. 3. Also already clear, she has THE performance of the year, best one in any category. 4. Nope. Murphy, Giamatti and Cooper were top 3, Domingo was a jury pick. 5. A huge and deserved blow for her, she is NOT top 3 and even the juries did not care for her.
@@LJStudiosljcould be but honestly after seeing poor things I'm surprised there isn't more of a controversy. I think the best thing for that film's campaign is to keep it so that only a niche audience views it and let the wins give it momentum because a wide audience will likely have problems with it no matter what
@Theodora7 It was a really disappointing, unpleasant movie. Stone is very good and wouldn’t have a problem with her winning but yeah. I actually really like that The Holdovers seems to be the runner-up now
What if Greta Gerwig is Denis Villeneuve (Dune)? This is the exact same thing that happened to him 2 years ago, snubbed for the BAFTA, and then, snubbed for the Oscar for Director.
I think she will be snubbed. Not to mention the Academy constantly snub blockbusters for directing. Oppenheimer is a blockbuster alongside Barbie, but Christopher Nolan will nominated considering he’s the frontrunner. I highly doubt the Academy will nominate 2 blockbusters for directing.

This is going to be chaotic 😂😂
Charlize Theron ( only nominated in 2005) , Katy Bates, Al Pacino, Sandra Bullock, Jack Nicholson, Susan Sarandon, Matthew Mcconaughey and Jessica Chastain ( possibly more ) missed Bafta noms and they still got their Oscars so Bafta nominations are not a big deal.
Charlize Theron was nominated for Monster
@@blackguyofthesouth2161I think it was the only award she did not get and it was quite stupid
@showbiz6676 Jack Nicholson in what movie?
@@seankoontz4235 as good as it gets
@@blackguyofthesouth2161 Thanks yes she did get a bafta nom. will correct it. But She was nominated a year later in 2005.
I think it was a smart move if it pays off, and if it doesn't pay off I'm not so sure that going supporting would have saved her
@@Theodora7barbie is 1 hour 54 minutes, while killers of the flower moon is 3 hours 26 minutes.
Gladstone is a supporting player in the film.
Hack Robbie keeps getting nominated just for winking at the camera unbelievable
The devil works hard but the Oscar Expert works harder
I can definitely say Dominic Sessa is going to get an Oscar nomination
You can. Still probably won't happen. Both suporting categories are open for some spots
This is literally his only big nomination
🤔
Watching out for him but still not confident. Predicting the three R actors, Mark Ruffalo (totally feels like an Oscar “save”), and then on a limb Sterling K. Brown
@@seankoontz4235 i have those 5 right now.
I really preferred your reactions without the screaming so much that I finally subscribed.😅
I love you guys freaking out at the airport 😂
Congratulations on Emma Stone
Takeaways:
1. Dominic and Fantasia are looking like nom contenders.
2. May December and the actors are history.
3. Emma is a frontrunner.
4. Jeffrey Wright is the 5th spot.
5. Lily’s wining chances are done.
1. Yes
2. So sad for Melton
3. Yes
4. Maybe
5. Not necessarily
I am upset if Wright doesn’t get nominated but Domingo is
@@sarasamaletdin4574 I have yet to see Wright, but he was stellar in Westworld.
Jeffrey is not going to be nominated bffr
if I were running killers of the flower moon's awards campaign I would collab with anatomy of a fall's team to make sure sandra huller wins that bafta
I mean there’s been a lot of controversy with Poor Things’ sex scenes lately, maybe that’s a hit piece done by another campaign?
@@LJStudiosljcould be but honestly after seeing poor things I'm surprised there isn't more of a controversy. I think the best thing for that film's campaign is to keep it so that only a niche audience views it and let the wins give it momentum because a wide audience will likely have problems with it no matter what
@Theodora7 It was a really disappointing, unpleasant movie. Stone is very good and wouldn’t have a problem with her winning but yeah. I actually really like that The Holdovers seems to be the runner-up now
@@seankoontz4235agree!
WTF NO QUESTIONS FROM BROTHER BRO AT THE END. I'M GONNA KMS
What if Greta Gerwig is Denis Villeneuve (Dune)? This is the exact same thing that happened to him 2 years ago, snubbed for the BAFTA, and then, snubbed for the Oscar for Director.
Poor Greta, potentially getting another snub.
Payne is 100% getting in
I think she will be snubbed. Not to mention the Academy constantly snub blockbusters for directing. Oppenheimer is a blockbuster alongside Barbie, but Christopher Nolan will nominated considering he’s the frontrunner. I highly doubt the Academy will nominate 2 blockbusters for directing.
Damn I wish they were at home as usual then they'd really flip out with the no show Gladstone nom
I feel like im the only person who called Jacob Elordi's nomination when he received the BAFTA rising star nom but NO LILY GLADSTONE?!?!?!
