My uncle played me this album in 1987 when I was 15 and I was hooked. Been a huge Ozzy fan ever since. Following Zakk and going back in time to the Jake and Randy masterpieces! Sir you nail all their stuff!!!! Excellent!!!!
Incidentally, Guitar World sent me their new volume last week covering Zakk's contribution to Ozzy's career, and it said that The Oz has been covering this song in select cities. Just to see that set...
very very clean.. it clearly shows that you took some time to learn it properly!! Your style is awesome, your bends n' vibrato really takes it to a next level. That being said I think it's fair to say you're not just another bedroom guitarist, you really have something special going on there!!!
Simply brilliant. You are talented, my friend. I agree with vulture5150 - the lead break and the sharp while clean distortion gave me chills. Awesome, just fing awesome! Thanks for uploading.
It's hard af to play Zakk and pull it off , he plays with HEAVY. Heavy vibrato and plays through heads that hes had worked and built for him and him alone. Usually on these older records if ya got tha cheese the old JCM 800s sound killer with the 80s metal. I bought a Kustom tube 2 12 deville back 3 to 4 years ago and that thing is so got dam close to the early plexi Marshall's and 800s I cant believe the amps didn't take off . They quit making em but if you can find one ? To me it's the king of the affordable Tube amps , around 8 to 900 but it's better than spending 2 geez on a refurbished plexi
@mustanasia me too! It's the ESP Eclipse 2 Standard model. It's the most expensive & best model. I bought it for $1,300 2 years ago. I believe they are about $1,500 in stores now. I always used Lesp Pauls until this beast, I have to say you have to get a standard LP with upgraaded pick ups to keep up with this beast. That costs $3,000 or more. The ESP active pickups in this really make it sing. Just don't get the lower 24 fret model. Yes, it's half the price but also half the guitar this is.
@MrNachoplaza thanks again bro! I used almost the same as my Randy sets..except I muscle up the chorus on here & add some more bass & extra distortion to help get the screams to come through. The clean channel part is just a chorus pedal.
@hdmcall thank you brother! The thing that Zakk had that made him unique is his ability to fly though those pentatonic runs..like no other. The ending of that solo is a beast.
@PaladinJenkis Well it is true for me. I agree with you on the replicas out there..especially from china for a fraction of the cost here in the states. It's really what you do with the guitar once you get it that defines it's sound anyway. cheers bro
@ZxE73 Not true, you should try a Tokai, Chevy, Orville, Greco or older Aria. I had great expiriance with Chevys but thats a matter of taste ;) There are insane replicas out there you just have to try out. But I agree, ESPs are high quality products. Cheers
great job on this mate where u from how long have you been playing and how old are you im 45 a shreddder from minneapolis minnesota ive been playing 26 years peace out hardcoredave what amp are you using i play marshall and carvin amps celestion speakers lynch wylde dime satch are some of my idols i have toon manny grrrrr

thank you so much! my favorite album with Zakk Wylde.
No rest is a masterpiece!
The first Ozzy album I ever bought, and my first favorite tune off that album!
Incidentally, Guitar World sent me their new volume last week covering Zakk's contribution to Ozzy's career, and it said that The Oz has been covering this song in select cities. Just to see that set...
cool, it's a great track. top 3 rock ballads of his for my taste.
My fist álbum too
The pinch harmknics at the beginning of the solo are INCREDIBLE! Most of us can't pull off anything close. Love it!
Awesome job...Loved this song since the first time I heard it...way back...

That's incredible! Did you get it?
Yes I did. A small Marshall. Thank you for motivating to jam out in the privacy of my own home. Thank you for your instant musical influence.
@@metalhd4life You're welcome, that's real nice of you to say. I hope you're loving it!

Simply brilliant. You are talented, my friend. I agree with vulture5150 - the lead break and the sharp while clean distortion gave me chills. Awesome, just fing awesome! Thanks for uploading.

Awesome cover!!!!!!! Have you tried the Fluence version of that guitar? I like the depth your sound has.
thank you so much. I haven't tried that version.

Marshall makes a DSL 1 12 tube that's pretty sick , bought one last year to gig in smaller rooms but it holds no candle to the Kustom
Awesome stuff :D
Zombie Assassin thank you!
Cool!

Awesome man
thank you Brett!
Epic.
Siiiiiiiiiick!!

The clean channel part is just a chorus pedal.
This could be the beginning of the most complete Ozzy TRIBUTE out there or for that fact Everywhere !!!!
nice guitar and playing keep rockin bro S.D.M.F.
@hdmcall
thank you brother!

They are great.
Coming from a life long Les Paul user these stack up.
@PaladinJenkis
Well it is true for me. I agree with you on the replicas out there..especially from china for a fraction of the cost here in the states. It's really what you do with the guitar once you get it that defines it's sound anyway.

I LOVE the three note bends in this song the last one being at 4:02 roughly. Randy had the BEST fillers. Great job my Friend.
too it was zakk wyld haha

@BadFluCh
thank you..I agree!
great!!!
What guitar pickup ? Very good!!!
Those are emg's. I believe 81's.
This one is great too!!! what effects did you use for this?
@hdmcall
Yea..most of the songs on the first two Ozzy Cd's that Zakk played on are tuned half step down.
Hope you post it.
Nice
thx brother
Good job, bro \m/

@sjbeverley
thanks bro
Which pedal is using ? Very good!
I was using a Line 6 in this video with a ton of different settings/pedal sounds. Sorry.
is that a flanger?
it's the zakk wylde chorus pedal. it's got a wide range to capture a flanger type sound.
@ZxE73 cool....zakk is the bollox AINT HE..!
This sucks.
Jk dude, this is badass. I've been wanting to learn this song for a while. What tuning is it? Standard?
0:00
@ZxE73 Jeah man, I agree 80% came from the player rest is your gear. Anyway nice playing though ;)
Man that’s hard to do, but it’s to bad ozzy didint have another guitar player to play rhythm section.
half step down
Thank you for not playing the stereo so loud that you're playing gets lost.
Excellent! If you're a fan of psychedelic rock, you may enjoy my original music! Please visit my channel and let me know what you think. Much appreciated!
some more thickness is needed fir your Les Paul.
not a les paul, but yea the recording has 4 guitars overdubbed. I'm just 1
Are we all sure it's not actually zakk
Back down on the chorus/flanger. This requires a LESS effected tone to sound right.
No way, you could lubricate all of NATO's tank divisions for a year with the amount of grease Zakk dumps on his signal chain
just no
Are you out of tune?
@mustanasia
