It's been precisely three years since Hyundai gave us the first E-GMP EV, the IONIQ 5, and I've spotted the car without the camouflage first in the world of UA-cam:

Korean EV's are so good, I love that Hyundai keeps improving it's offering.
Kia have to nail their facelift, this is insane, i was wanting to save up for a Kia EV6 GT-line, but this is making it difficult to not to go for a Ioniq 5 N - Line
Kia EV6 Facelift will surely be something too, will deliver that video asap as well :)
Test both! I have the 5N, i recommend you test drive both if you can
Kia and Hyundai! Absolutely gorgeous cars. Wow
Agreed! 💯💪
Just insane! Thanks for the great video's
Glad you like it! 👍
I recently purchased the 5N, and i love it! Annoyingly, the N line has 2 features the 5N missed out on. The buttons for heated and vented seats (you have to go through the menu) and the front and rear integrated dash cam. Really annoying as i have to spend more money on front and rear camera, even though the car already has so many cameras! Besides that, love the N and the N Line!!
Might see that on the next PE I5N - if there ever is one - but who cares! N is always the answer :)
Is the 5N a bit of a cross between the older i5 and the updated? The rear wiper kind of being an indicator
@@choshun8 yep
Fantastic review 😊 I’m liking the updated version
Thanks! 😀
Fantastic video again, thank you. I've had my Ioniq 5 since 2021 and will be replacing it this year, I am 99% certain I'll be getting another Ioniq 5 based on these updates. I love the fact they haven't fitted one-piece seats to the N-Line version.
Wow, a true IONIQ fan! What do you like best about your car? I mean, must be almost everything, but care to share? Also drop me any question you have about the car, I will be sure to check and find out during the test drive.
Did you lease or buy?
@@CarSceneKorea I didn't get notified about your response so have only just seen it. I have 2 young kids and the openness and space in the cabin is unmatched by anything else on the market. I'm also a big RC car fan and when I take a trip out, I use the V2L every time to keep a set of batteries charged. There are only 2 things I really dislike about my current Ioniq 5, no rear wiper and no wireless CarPlay, both of which are resolved in this update!
Thanks for sharing and you seem to have bought the perfect car for you 👍
What a fantastic job - car & video! I've heard something about a matrix led option for this upgrade- do you have any information about that? Except for the lights and the not always harmonious suspension, I am very happy with my IO5 2023MJ and now I have a lot to think about... 😉 Best regards from Austria!
Thanks for the comment :) IONIQ 5 PE gets the IFS, which is Intelligent Front lighting System, there is a demonstration of it with my Tucson Facelift video. No matrix LED on this I5.
Merci pour cette super vidéo ! Pas de pixel de charge à l'avant sur la N-Line ? No charging pixel on the front ?
Je pense que oui, il n'est probablement pas affiché puisqu'il n'est pas chargé.
Can't wait to see you road testing both of these mid-life upgrades. And I believe a certain Mr EV from the UK will be watching the N-Line tests very intently.
Not quite following with the avid N-Line fan 😂 The drive wouldn’t be much different in terms of performance, but eager to test out the upgrades they threw in.
Greetings from Toronto Ontario Canada thanks for sharing this video until the ioniq5 is corrected with the battery pack issues as reported here by numerous TV stations I will wait for something bigger 😮
Thanks for the info!
Thank you. Does the rear spoiler still have that lip under the wing this points up, preventing air from flowing over the window?
Will make sure to find that out with the test drive.
Love the refresh! Definitely a few updates we've been looking for! (Wiper!)
Is the wheel arch cladding now body coloured?
With the N-Lines, yes.
@@CarSceneKorea excellent 👍 Thanks for the confirmation 🙂
New to ioniq 5...but have fallen in love.. Will be my next vehicle. My wrangler 4xe lease up in 10 mo will be looking to move to full ev. My big q is the N line will be a stretch for me but may be doable depending on 2025 pricing at dealers. I'd or worth stretching to the N vs the ioniq 5 sel? I'm guessing be a good 100/mo more for N.... My sticker on wrangler was like 62k..this shows 66k for N prob 10k lower for sel... Just not sure worth stretching to the N... Thoughts? Big pros the N has over Sel? Thanks!
Thank you 😃👍🏼
You’re welcome 😊
this is awesome, hope the dashcam camera/feature also makes it to European markets this time..
will the N-Line have more kW motor power than standard AWD?
Nope, same as the regular model. Just aesthetics.
Do you know anything about the sounds like the I5N ? Drives mode ? Thanks so much for the video.
Will come up with more detail on that next. N-Line is mostly the aesthetics, so I doubt there'd be sounds.
@@CarSceneKorea thanks 🇵🇹👍
Very nice
The animation showing new battery (last video) suggests the wheelbase is longer. Is it ?
The wheelbase is the same 3,000mm long. That clip is just showing that E-GMP is capable of extending the wheelbase when necessary.
All these changes are great! I would love to see what Kia and Genesis do with their EV6 and GV60 facelift.
EV6 is getting some major front design change 👀
When are you adding the kona n line ev video?
That was supposed to come before this vid, but edited this first obviously 🙄 Working on it asap!
For the N-Line, can a tow bar be installed on this model, or does the diffuser interfere? Any ideas?
I wasn’t able to find that out, but sure think Hyundai would’ve sorted that out 🤞
If this comes to Australia I’ll order in a heart beat!
Let's go! 💪
Will the N-line have the option of either the RWD or AWD configuration, or will it strictly be AWD?
N-Line isn't any difference from a regular I5 in terms of performance. You can choose all types just like the I5.
This is finally the near-perfect Ioniq 5! There were a few things that kept me from really liking the car before, and Hyundai fixed all of that with this facelift. I would seriously consider replacing my Veloster N with this Ioniq 5 N-Line. As cool as the full N version is, I really don't need 600 horsepower for a daily and the ~220 miles of range is just not good enough. I think Hyundai really should've given this N-Line a small power boost because the gap going from the ICE N cars with 275 hp to the EV N cars with 600 hp is too much of a jump. A N-Line dual-motor version with around 400 horsepower and almost 300 miles of range would fill that gap perfectly.
Wow, embedded front and rear dashcam with audio is really something I am soooo much wishing for in all EVs for a long time, so that is a really great step in the right direction 👍.
Ideally, the cameras should all be 3D cameras with audios, and there should also be one on each side as well, and also 2 inside (one in the front, and one in the rear, and maybe a 3rd one in the boot)). All 3D audio-video recordings should be stored in an embedded several Terabytes (32TB) onboard storage to allow for a very low power always-on dashcam/sentry mode.
With 3D audio-video cameras natively integrated in each EV, there could then be chargeable software services that could provide new options, like monitor/review 3D audio-video recordings for accountability in case of damages (lending the car to a family member or a friend, car rental fleets,…)
Well, this car got ccNC, who knows! More updates on surveillance and sentry mode would be awesome indeed.
Any thoughts on European/ UK pricing because i’ll have one if the price is right.Replies appreciated.
A regular IONIQ 5 PE is cheaper in Korea, so I think it'd be safe to believe the same for the overseas market. Not sure about this very N-Line model though as they will probably be very limited.
Enjoying my 2022 BMW 330 but I traded a 2019 Elantra N-Line on it and loved it. Looking forward to this as it gets rid of the ugly light LCD dash which was why I dint get an Ionic 5
Fair enough:)
Question - Do you know if the N Line will come only in AWD or will it be available in either RWD or AWD? Just interested to know as a potential UK buyer when it comes here. Thanks!
The Hyundai Korea website has the N Line version available for both 2WD and AWD drivetrains. Unsure if that will be the case globally, though.
@@Hayden120 Thanks, good to know
Any info on the power available on the new cars ? Are they using the same motors as pre-facelift ones ? Is the 4x4 version still only 325 HP ?
Any updates on the 0 -100 times ? Are they the same ? When do we see a test drive with one ?
Upgraded battries - 4th generation Hyundai calls it - which was used on I5N. Minor things such as rear motor control to further reduce the motor noise, better drive with shock absorbers, most things that wasn't shown in the video is to be found only when I get to test drive the car. 325 hp for AWD, yes. No change in terms of performance. Test driving it asap within a month!
I also don't think the 0-100 times will blow you away, but the handling and drifting is what will make this EV fun to drive on the track. Straight line speed wasn't really the priority with this EV.
Hopefully the N-line will feel more sporty to drive and not just use the same suspension as the regular ones. I'm not sure why Hyundai waited this long to introduce this trim though. They would've sold a lot more I5 if they did. This trim pretty much got rid of most of my complaints on the Limited trim leaving all those silver cladding. I much prefer the black cladding of the lower trims instead. When someone buys a black car they want it all black, not with a silver trim on the bottom. This is going on with the I6 as well. While the EV6 has it right when you get black, it's all black!
I recently picked up the EV6 GT cause I wanted a more sporty feel to my EV and not just a plain driving experience. The upcoming I5 N is nice but it's just a little too busy for me as I won't be tracking the car as well. The US market won't get everything as well like the Vision roof and vent front & rear heated seats. Nor will they get those mirror cameras which honestly I'm really not a fan of. 641HP with that boost button would be nice but 576HP on the GT isn't so bad either. 3.2 sec to 60mph is fast enough for me, for right now. 😅
I drifted with a RWD IONIQ 5, plenty of power and easy transition to have fun :)
EV6 GT is a great car no doubt and lives up to the name GT very much. Btw, IONIQ 6 just got the Black Edition where they've solved the issue you've addressed :) Completely blacked out, murdered out IONIQ 6.
Hi, is there any release date for Europe? Thanks!
It typically takes about six months to reach other parts of the globe 🥲
hey im kind of confused. is the ioniq 5n and the inoniq 5 n line the same ?
Not at all, I5N is performance oriented N, while N-Line is basically just a regular IONIQ 5, but with N design cue - exterior & interior - applied aesthetically.
7:07 Wait... it doesn't have Blind Spot Monitor. Now I can't drive without it 😅
It might have been display showing something there, there's the cam on the DSM, so it should have BVM.
Will the N-Line come to europe?
Can you show night time performance of the cameras
Sure thing with the test drive.
I wish they made improvements in the turning circle.
Heated front radar? Bc it ALWAYS gets blocked by a bit of snow and all kinds of alarms go off, very annoying
Thanks for this msg
I couldn't see that on the update list unfortunately.
Percentage wise, how much is the N line more than the regular AWD? Thanks my honorary Canadian!
Are you referring to the price? N-Line price tag is yet to be released.
Yay 🇨🇦🫡
@@CarSceneKorea yes. I was wondering what the price was relative to the other trims.
Nice .. i like the regular ev still nice...
Ties the gap bw the I5N and a regular model, at least with the looks 🤩
What color is this one? The grey looks very nice.
Ecotronic Gray Pearl, also available in matte :)
What's the point if these cars arent available outside Korea? For instance the Elantra N that was showcased last year has barely made it to North America.
Sure do hope Hyundai USA would bring these over. I am showing what’s available here in Korea.
Aah so they changed the three buttons function of the side front passenger seat, previously (at least in my country) it's programmed to control the rear seats, now it's much more usable
Heard about that from the last video, thumbs up! 👍
I really like how they change the interior design apart of the colour palette. It’s a shame N-line is always in black. In a summer they are impossible to sit on if left in a sun.
I sure do hope they’d introduce a bright toned one too.
What's the hp on the n line
It’s the same as a regular one.
Wouldn't it be nice if the seats were massaging?
Sure thing, hopefully will be with IONIQ 9 :)
absolutely amazing interior... those seat got me, i would chose this trim only because of them... everything else is extra bonus... however 7:52 thats terrible
Motored fold/unfold would’ve been better for sure, but better than nothing unlike the first one!
I wish the sound system got significant improvements
Will test it out on my test drive!
Where’s the Kona ev Nline video!?
That was to be edited before this, but went with IONIQ first 🤣 Working on it asap!
apple CarPlay wireless or not ?
Wireless for both Android and Apple.
Thank you 🙏🏼. I love your videos 😀… greetings from Germany 🇩🇪
عالی دمت گرم😉
ممنون از ملاحظه تان :)
Is the touch screen still laggy?
it shouldnt, from all the reviews I have watched, ccNC is one of the smoothest and responsive infotainment... though the software itself isn't as good as google or tesla.
Didn't notice any of that, but will sure check it out thoroughly with the test drive.
@@mrpogi23 What is ccNC? In the current generation I5s the screen is laggy, and also takes a lonnnggg time to boot to a state that lets you, for example, turn on the heated seats. It's very annoying.
@@CarSceneKorea Yes please do check it out man.
Already scratches in the high gloss lacquer
Still no front fog lights. 🙄😖😡🤬
The ioniq 5 isn't a bad car (on the contrary, is one of the best electric car at the moment). But at ergononic point and visual point, i find his sister KIA EV6 better (european point of vue)
Each car sure does pursues something different despite them being brothers :)
I don't know, the front is kind of good-looking, but the back it is for me to much. i prefer the elegant look of the normal ioniq 5. Would be interesting to see how much this bodywork harms the range compare to the normal one
Sure am keen to find that out if there is any.
Yup... need relaxation mode for recharge stops. Gas... 5mins. Electric... 45... need a full massage team. But relax seats... meh... enough 7:13 ?
Dealer here is charging $20k as a "dealer adjustment" on top of MSRP for this model.. $87k 🤡🤡
Yeah, saw the photo for IONIQ 5 N. Hopefully it won't be the case with N-Line.
Walk away auto lock please!
Will check it out on the test drive.
It would have been perfect if the N line had 400HP
No more performance upgrades with N-Line, except Sonata 🥲
I'm sure it's the same suspension too. It's more of an appearance package just like how the A-spec is to Acura. Some people might be ok with this but I don't mind a subtle change at least. A floaty N-line is not a great N-line. This is why I went with the EV6 GT instead hehe. 😊
Now that there's IONIQ 5 N, I resonate with the route Hyundai is taking with N-Line.
Very disappointed that they added that ugly rear wiper blade because of some blind Karens and Darens complained! I live in the Pacific NorthWest and have never used a rear wiper blade. No need.
then rip it off! A lot easer to take it off rather than installing a new rear wiper
i hate that the ioniq 5 N has those shitty bucket seats, i would much rather have these seats!!!
Trust me, those N Light Bucket Seats are the least bucket-seat-like seats you should get on an IONIQ 5 N when properly drive 🤣

@@CarSceneKorea I need the seat ventilation
The digital side mirrors are rubbish.
Hope the buttons on the center console are liquid proof and your phone as they are right next to the coffee/water holders.
Good point.
