I got the exact same car when I was 17. It had a 318 with a 4 speed overdrive, and t-tops. It rusted out in 4 years. The Ontario winters shortened it's life.
without a doubt, the last musclecar from old Chrysler.I was 15 in 77 and the local Chrysler dealership had a Richard Petty blue one in the showroom with the flared fenders and the 4spd,I wonder if that car has survived and where it is.
I ordered a SuperPak with 4 speed, low ratio traction loc, power windows, locks, leather seats, added hatched roof, white leather interior instead of black, Orange exterior. E58 engine.
I rode in the exact car new from the factory . It had a factory Quad radio ...It was the smoothest ride on country roads at that time... the paint job was a deep black and had a fish scale like finish to the paint . The Quad radio was what I remembered the most .
I hope you have performed a bit of "re-engineering" along the way to keep the rest of the car "up" to the AWESOME MOTIVATION! I LOVED '70's Volares/Aspens! IF the rest of the car supports the AWESOME DRIVETRAIN...LET'S GO!

Nice, my cousin had one of those right from the dealership.
Not as cool as yours, but still pretty cool.
My father thought I was nuts for wanting one of these lol
Fantastic design
Love the rear taillights that year
Que hermosa joya felicidades
Lo vendí hace unos meses
Did bypassing the lean burn, and installing headers and true duals make a difference in performance?
Never had lean burn on '77 318. Only on 360. Headers and mild cam was all done before I bought car.

What kind of headers are those, and are they the ones that the steering shaft runs through
Headers unknown, on car when purchased. Steering shaft ran on the outside of headers.
440 it...
Pretty cool for a time when they were crap cars.

If he beat it , it wouldn't be in that condition. It would be as you say....crap !
