FYI - The original Commando Track was written by Tamayo Kawamoto (what you hear at the start). Wikipedia states the following: The Commodore 64 port's theme, a more complex and extended version of the arcade music, was created in less than 12 hours by Rob Hubbard, "I started working on it late at night, and worked on it through the night. I took one listen to the original arcade version and started working on the C64 version. By the time everyone arrived at 8 in the morning, I had loaded the main tune on every C64 in the building! I got my cheque and was on a train home by 10". A real genius. 🤩 And Ben's Video shows how it must have gone .. hahaha
It's excellent and it's a beautiful show of how you can emulate more instruments than the 3 the C64 was restricted to by reprogramming them in real time so that you could, for instance, play drums and bass in the same channel
Love it... I remember being in the arcade in Blackpool in 1984 and hearing Commando with it's beautiful 4 voice FM theme and great graphics... I spent the whole trip home (2hours just thinking and hearing the theme going around).... When I heard Rob's rendition a year or two after I was floored! He was a genius!
Ben, you are an amazing dude! Please start making some GameCube MODS. They are hot like solder... not like those British chaps that tried to stop our country, but more like the glue that makes Great Games1
I always sang this as, "The roach, the roach, the roach is in the wall. We don't need no poison let that mfer crawl!" Maybe that was just me but you cant unhear it once you try..😅
@@BenHeckHacks Mom and Dad Save the World is one of the funniest... intentionally and unintentionally. I saw it in theater... and the local theater put it in the smallest, dumpiest theater room they had... only about 30 seats... so me and a friend watched it alone surrounded by 5 gallon buckets that were catching the water leaking in through the roof. Classy. LOL!
I love how Ben just does what he wants on UA-cam.
“I guess you guys aren't ready for that, yet. But your kids are gonna love it.”
This found footage belongs in a museum! Bravo Ben for uncovering it.
You belong in a Museum Dr Jones.😂
@@Jon-cg3dfThrow 'em over the side!
*was thinking L Ron Hubbard at first*
Tom Cruise wasn't in this movie.
I can't stop rewatching this over and over.
same
Ben goes Back to Commando... "I guess you aren't ready for that yet, but your kids are going to love it".
i lost it when he laughed at the end- good shit ben. IF THAT IS YOUR REAL NAME.
Best thing I've seen on UA-cam all year so far.
It wasn't Rob Hubbard who was laughing at me... It was GOD!
So good I had to watch it twice🤣
You know that new sound you're lookin for? Well listen to this!
Lol! Just shared this with the Rob Hubbard group on FB!

Kudos for respecting that 50 Hz vibe, you mad yank.
I flipping love the c64 commando soundtrack!

Didn't expect this here
Video Game Music; Blowing Minds for Centuries. Who knew! lol
I've never been slain so fast in my life and I've played NES Immortal
“Watch it, Jack. HE KILLED MOZART!”
"Mo who?"
I suppose the F. Murray Abraham-looking guy must be Tamayo Kawamoto
What kills me is that the original Commando theme wouldn't be out of place on a harpsichord. This is too brilliant by far.
OMG I nearly choked -- then I had to explain it's beautiful 😂😂
So true. The C64 soundtrack was so much more of a masterpiece. Still listen to it today.
grazie signore
For my next number, The Moon Theme from Ducktales
Now that’s pod racing
I know its an old comment, but im sure it still checks out... You sir have won the internet for today 😁
Was expecting the other infamous scene.
Love it !

Great video
this is amazing, holy shit
I believe that is what Rick Ross told the Beastie Boys "A little more sawtooth is all that is needed to make that perfect."😂
🤣 Hubbard is great. Commando is so burnt into my brain, I can hear it without hearing it.
That intro busted my gut! Damn if that aint the finest jam of all Commodore time!!!!
There are not enough words for this.
I concur!
brilliant, thanks Ben.
For my next trick: jeroen tel origins
I love it when Ben goes completely random with his uploads.
We all now like Ben a bit more
I'm happy Ben knows who Rob Hub is.
Good to have fun, let's not forget it.
Oh Rock me NES CPU!
10/10 for this one, Ben.
This is so brilliant!
High effort shtpost. 10/10!
that's very funny!!
that's very funny!
I was just thinking about this, because I was just thinking about Last Action Hero, because I was just thinking about Terminator.

Why the 2A03 at the end? This was SID music. Edit: Oh, at the beginning. I get it now.
Perfection
I literally did laugh out loud at this.
🔥
Rob Hubbard is all good, but Tim Follin was fucking insane.
Plok Boss theme is something you would straight up hear today in electronic music.
Great movie😂😂😂😂😂, get it the laugh.
Grazie
LMAO brilliant!
But we haven't watched together Indiana Jones on secret stream 😳
TIL that Jeffrey Jones was in Amadeus.
Yeah it's kind of disturbing that he's in two of my favorite movies (this and Ed Wood)

LOL !!!
HAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!!!
Does this mean Ben has a tictac account now?
L Ron Hubbard?
😁
🤣🤣
that was random...
Side note, bad movie. Wife made me watch it once. Ben of course modified it and made it better and more portable.
It's one of my favorite movies actually!
It's one of the greatest movies of all time. You can say you don't like it, but there is absolutely no metric by which it can be called a bad movie.
