Your Dad is adorable. He reminds me of Captain Kangaroo who was a ginger with a moosetache. This is a compliment. I loved Captain Kangaroo, watched him every morning. Love watching y’all.
Three weeks ago I prepped my hay equipment to be sure it was ready this year. I get a nice window of weather to make a go at it... and....my haybine goes down. Didn't even get into the field with it. Ok, so I hitch up the old stand bye cycle bar. Some corndog went and stole a couple of shoes off the dumb thing, AND the PTO shaft for it. AAAAAARRRRGGGGG. Spent a couple days replacing the missing parts and welding up a new PTO shaft for it. Totally missed my weather window. I'm staged to go now, again. Just waiting on the skies to give me a shot. ....aaaaany day now.....
New mowers can be a pain in the ass too, they only look nicer ;). And to answer your question, yes I do love the smell of freshly cut grass, or the smell of hay, just before it goes in to the baler on a very sunny day :)
They all break new ones included we use 2 Kuhn 9 ft disc mowers and we cut up to 1200 acres a year I had to put a bar in one from finding a giant whole on a customers field and put one in it and now its going again good mowers like your dad fix it and get back at it new equipment is nice till it's winter and your staring at it sitting in the lot great video
These things happen even with new kit u get downtime its frustrating but when u get more than 2 moving parts theres scope for trouble . Top sevice from your mechanics though hope all is done now . Ian ...
Fiat Gaming 5678 by how your channel is called Fiat Gaming I’m going to presume that you like fiat, I can’t comment on them as I’ve never used them but they seem decent
Kinda dumb question - When you're taking a look into the mower after the bearing goes at the ~11min mark, isn't that another disk mower right behind you guys, the blue one? Or am I just totally missing my hardware ID?
Tom sorry about the mower but it has last long while so that nice but have to fix and move on with the cutting looks like it will make some nice grass silage.
hello came up too the shop today love the shop and cows look a1. l work on a 5 robot farm in Herefordshire. we on a weekend up at Blackpool. how come you don't sell the tp merc in the shop?? keep the good work up
Trust me new equipment doesn't mean better. Parts can be cheaper than depreciation. What we have learned is to always maintain machinery and not be afraid to spend money on parts when putting them away for the winter.
You may have said already but is the a.c. out on the 100 horse tractor or does it not have one I didn't know they made cab tractors without a.c. and heat
Gday tom. Would like to buu of of your new shirts mate but cant choose postage to Australia in your shop . Is there any chance we could sort some postage . Cheers mate
So Tom. . . The Ginger Warrior was right, and you were wrong. I hope you remember my suggestion on how to handle such awkward moments -- Celebrate his victory by giving him a DVD of the movie "God's Own Country". That way, he'll know what kind of son fate MIGHT have gifted him with to work the farm. Dark humor is the name of the game. LOL.
With our beef operation we would b disgusted with your 2nd cut😂 we might cut next week if the rain stops and the grass is 3 to 4 feet average height. But we go for quantity over quality as we only feed 50 breeders and 25 bulls/stoats. I know how you feel about the break downs as our roller separated while rolling a field with a slight slope on it.
Masseyman6480 you can wait for 3-4 ft grass but there won’t be no milk in it so it would be a waste of time and money chopping it dairy men need quality any one can get a good crop of donkey grass 🤭
John Townley we only get one cut a year so say what you want but we can't justify cutting foot tall grass every year and have to buy in fodder. We feed nuts and a grain mix with it to compensate the slight lack of sugars in the grass as we farm right next to the sea and the salt will kill some of the grass in the shoreline fields. So no we don't make donkey grass we make to absolute best we can for our area.
Masseyman6480 don’t think you understand what I’m saying tall grass is only good for your job and beef cattle not milk cows and he was selling silage last year not buying it....
Dont feel bad about your equipment. You're doing great in everything and educating the rest of us. Thank you and your father!
Your Dad is adorable. He reminds me of Captain Kangaroo who was a ginger with a moosetache. This is a compliment. I loved Captain Kangaroo, watched him every morning. Love watching y’all.
I am sorry tom but the way you dad explains stuff he is like David Attenborough i could listen to him for hours

Nice vid guys. Always a gamble with bearings that are going out, sometimes you win, that time you lost 😕.
Thanks Tom!
I love how much your father loves farming lol
Good grass, good info about the bearings and belt, good video 😆

Nice vid Tom u deserve more subs
listen and learn from dad . he knows his stuff
Great video , I am cutting as well as the grass is to strong for our milking cows in ireland
New machinery is usually harder to fix than old machinery. The mod cons that come with new tech means it has more things that can go wrong.
246th! GOOD EVENING TOM, LUKE, AND THE GINGER GUY! Roger in Pierre South Dakota USA 😊
Epic video loved it.

The Funky Farmer is closing in on 100,000 subs Tom
Here from snap
But launched the app so I could like the video
Just curious tom. Ive seen a handful of European farmers who use those drum style mowers. R those more common than say a sickle bar style haybine??
Hi Tom fix that door on the Kawasaki 🤣👊
Tom, your dad is a wise owl, you'd be sensable to listen & learn from him you only have 1dad and mum... Peter
Amazing video
Good videos Tom your my favourite you tuber how many acres of grass do you have on your farm?
Trust me new equipment doesn't mean better. Parts can be cheaper than depreciation. What we have learned is to always maintain machinery and not be afraid to spend money on parts when putting them away for the winter.
I've never seen a mower quite like that one, is it supposed to have a conditioner on the back?
Time for a sprocket driven mower Tom!
Please Tom please video the bailing or silage making
Nice video tom
New mower time
Dort ist alles, Lumperei, Bruch und Dalles :-), so sagt man in Deutschland. Am besten ist die machen Ganzjahresweide

Ay up tom. Russ from Hillam near Selby. What makes the silver tractor. And sorry to hear about your loss of your dog. Keep the videos coming. Russ👍

You should look out for a John Deere 1350 or 1355 8ft mower they are a great mower very reliable those Jf mowers are a nightmare

Do a q&a..
For a good question, do you play Farming Simulator 19??
Yes I do on ps4
Callie Robinson he didn’t ask you
Odhran Byrne 😂😂
He doesnt. He doesnt have time as far as I know. Would Be cool to have Tom's farm map :D
I agree with you about the map
Another good video, could you have not used the LELY behind you while the it was being repaired
People can say what they want about adjustable but it’s better than carrying a socket set or a set of spanner’s
Tbh from experience ur best to carry all 3
The question is if you did go for a new mower would you get another drum mower?
Think it’s new mower time Tom
Hi Tom are you going to the Yorkshire show?
Can you recommend a podcast I love listening to a podcast doing work
