It has been YEARS since we’ve done a “travel vlog”…I’ll be honest, I felt a bit nervous posting this one because nowadays travel videos seem to be all about the fancy first class flights or tours of a $10,000/night hotel😂. I hope us fawning over cheap groceries and building sand castles with our family wasn’t too boring for you all…let us know what you thought, maybe we’ll have to go on another adventure with Tyler’s side of the family. As soon as I heard about the bad weather in Canada, I thought you had both picked the right time to be away. If I am going anywhere and catering for myself then I always get excited by the grocery stores because they are often different and cheaper than at home.

So glad you had a wonderful well-earned vacation. I have missed you so much. Bring the cutie pie stray home for Squirrel. She'd be so happy. Sorry you have to go back to that horrendous snowstorm, but your place has so much potential, I'd hate to see you give up on it. Vacations like that are so wonderful, but I honestly think you appreciate them more when they aren't your full-time life.
So to see you guys taking a much needed vacation, the kind that we regular people take. Have fun and de-stress. Everything looks awesome, that grocery store looks amazing.
Having a little piece of paradise is awesome way to wind down after working really hard... I too this past week, received word that I'm being hired as the year round food service Director for a summer camp and retreat center in Ohio. A lot of words in policy and procedures, said... camp offers a "private residence" for the food service Director. And it's way better than a 10 by ten cabin in the middle of the woods, it's literally a 5 bedroom house, sun room, living room, kitchen, and a full basement. And laundry inside the residence as well. It's definitely going to be my slice of paradise, because after working all day in a kitchen... I love camp but sometimes I just want to lock the door, seal the windows, pour a glass of wine, and not share my space with seasonal camp staff members. 1 giant house, just for 1 person 😊 ❤. See you guys next Sunday!🎉

Frankly I think we need a Tyler & Todd Off-grid in Paradise series, where we get to see y'all building an off grid home in Florida or the Caribbean somewhere, and y'all can set it up as an Air BnB when y'all are in Canada during the summer. I moved to Florida 12 years ago from Michigan and never regretted it. SNOW & COLD are 4-letter words in my book. It's nice to see on TV & maybe visit for a week but if I never see snow again, I'm not gonna miss it.
I am so glad you did this. It is obvious you are rejuvenating. I think the past couple years have been hard.

Tyler and Todd, you should sell all you have and move to the Caribbean permanently. I sold all I had 10 years ago when I was 45 years old and moved from Norway 🇳🇴to the sunny and warm Canary Island of Tenerife ☀️🏝️🇪🇸 It the best decision I ever made, after too many years and winters in Oslo and in Montréal 🇨🇦 So what if it’s far away from family and friends? Just a couple of short flight to visit them, no big whoop.
My life has gotten some much more meaningful and the expenses have decreased a lot ❤️ Life on an tropical or subtropical island is so easy and fun ❤️ You have one life, use it well ❤️

I mean with all of the up and down stuff you've had to deal with, from the container home, to the flooding in the cottage, You needed this Beautiful vacation time. It is Beautiful there, and the weather is great, even the rain. But I miss the boys and squirrel too. And yes maybe you should try to stowaway that little kitten. I went with my family to Puerto Rico and took my parents. They flew in from Florida. We came from Oregon. There were some surprises but it really was a wonderful vacaction. It was amplified by the fact that my parents were with us. You have to grab these times, they won't necessarily come again. It's a bit difficult to give everyone the vacation that they want. I think, as you mentioned in your Air B&B, is that people can find a space to be by themselves. Too much "together" is too much.

At a couple of shots, I didn't recognize Todd at first because his smile is so enormous en one time I hardly recognized Tyler because he looked so relaxed (not to say that normally your are so sour or stressed). Thank you for taking us. It felt also like a little break. The contrast with Canada is just mind-boggling. Happy homecoming and happy Superbowl (whenever that is). How do you pick the music, from memory, songs you like or a program with songs for every occasion? Love you.
I also noticed Todd's smile. His smile is gorgeous when he is clean-shaven. It's great to see both guys relaxed and well. Next posting will show them screaming and kicking when they're dragged back to Scova Notia. What the heck, we are happy to have them back any way they come.

Your vacation spot is gorgeous! I moved from NYS to Florida 7 years ago. I love the great weather...having the sun most days is wonderful! I do NOT miss snow, ice or freezing temperature!

Thank you for the beautiful video, I started a staycation on Saturday, so far all I got was a migraine from de-stressing, found out my boss massed up my vacation pay, and have a vet appointment for my new kitten to be fixed and chipped.
I know you are sun worshipers, but the reason it’s so wonderful is because it’s such a change. Nothing is wonderful if it’s all the time. It’s just normal. The snow will be fantastic when you get home, well for a couple of days, then you’ll go back to remembering how great the sun felt. The place you’re at really looks amazing, a dream come true! Enjoy every moment.
I agree! I’m from Australia and I can tell you when you live constantly in the sun it gets very old very quickly. I’d kill for snow

The prices in
Puerto Vallarta were much lower than in Albany, NY…..unfortunately, after 11 years of US and Canadian involvement and presence those great lower prices are gone now…..never to be the same! Enjoy your time in the sun and warmth, and wonderful fresh fruits!!
