Yes, Americans are known to leave a spare key somewhere in case they accidentally lock themselves out. The places you named though are all obvious and there are other ideas that work too. Do people in other parts of the world never worry about getting locked out?

Like my at a neighbor's or sibling's house. Someone you trust.
Not just on some random location just outside my home, where anyone can find them.
I had a friend who left his spare key in an (unlockable) mailbox. He seemed never to have a problem.

Or you just double check if you have your key before leaving. That's how everyone I know does it.
And if you don't have someone to give an emergency key to in the same town or they are all on vacation, and you were stupid enough to get locked out you call a locksmith.

About 2 months ago I was home hanging on UA-cam when I heard an almighty bang, then a ton of sirens. It turns out that a man in the neighboring apartment building brought his oxygen tank outside to smoke. Every oxygen tank I have ever seen has warnings not to smoke next to it.
Sadly, he ended up killing himself and injuring a bunch of firefighters, a few neighbors for being an iditol.
Very sad and the thing is, I've heard this happens more than you'd think.

We have vending machines that grab money and reject it if it has as little as a fold in the corner. Why don't they have small desktop machines at registers that cashiers can feed large bills into to verify they are not counterfeit?
That's true though..
I believe that in some places anything over a $20 note has to be checked with some kind of pen to detect whether it's fraudulent, but clearly not every place does that. I'd still check thoroughly if I was given a $100 note.

Yeah the dipstick one is konda dumb, but let's face it' even while the majority knows about there being a dipstick, they don't know the exact functionality of this whole concept. Kinda forgivable they just expect it to reach the oil, instead of the oil reaching the stick.

Anais microwaving foil doesn't smooth the foil...that's the joke. They showed a smooth ball of foil to see if they could get dummies to actually try that experiment in their microwave,which will destroy your microwave if you leave it in too long. Yes...do not try it lol!!!!

I recently put my coffee mug in the microwave for 2 minutes to heat it it up. When I pulled it out I had left the (stainless steel) spoon in the mug. To my surprise, nothing happened.
