I think the 5090 is going to sell on eBay for 3000 dollars, and almost every retial store will be sold out for 1 or 2 years I think 4090 will be fine for the next 3 years for gaming
@@josephwilson8391Even the 2080 ti doesn't struggle in that game at 4k maxed out unless you are talking about anti aliasing with msaa (not part of graphics and msaa at 4k is redundant).
No reason to buy a 5090 unless you have the money and just want the best if a 4090 can't run the new games coming out the next 2 years then every other GPU other than the 5090 and 5080 will be trash. Don't buy into the bullshit the 4090 will be very good for awhile.
@@pearce_nz you should be fine mate as long as you play in 4K. I have a 5800x3d & I'm planning to get a 4090 cause I want be able to just install a game & play in 4K without any bother for years to come. If you don't have a 4K display just get an LG C series 42" TV.
I am so thinking about pulling the trigger on a 4090 I am running a 3080 at 3440x 1440p but I want to upgrade to a 32 4k qd oled lol but some people say once I go 90 series I will not be able to go back lol
@@bluemuscle2 I mean if you can afford a 90 series card then there’s no reason to go backwards anyways but yes once you go higher no reason to go backwards. It’s like 60hz to 144hz for the first time, zero reason to ever want to use 60hz again.
Only con is the price, but ignoring that, i am enjoying my 4090, picked up from day 1, 0 issues, love it. although i run it at 80% Power limit. I did run also vertical. O11 XL - You can't close side panel.
Thank you for confirming the 011 XL experience. That is good to know! I also love my 4090. I am happy to have it personally. I haven't had any connector issues with it. I do think there are more cons than just the price as described in the video.
@@ErockOnTech I switched from my lian li Case to the hyte y70. Mounting vertical wasnt an issue for my card temps wise (literally no temp difference) the only thing I don't like about the case is that you can only mount vertical. The vision Case looks cool, I just wouldn't want to lose to top mounting
@@fallenlegion1828 Everything you just said are my thoughts exactly. I like the Y70 but I hate how it’s vertical mount only. The vision I completely dismissed early on. I said if it can’t do a top mount I don’t want it. But over time it has grown on me. It has favorable reviews over all. But yeah I’m still undecided.
@@pearce_nzMakes one wonder what the headline features will be in 10 years, and the spec sheet. Will we see any more monumental leaps in performance or only iterative improvements? Maybe we'll have streamlined VR devices/experiences that the masses finally want to adopt. It's all somewhat mysterious...something tells me I'll be playing old games on new hardware 😅
Been absolutely happy with my 4090 + 7800x3d.. Especially as i got it at its lowest pricing in summer 2023. No issue whatsoever. Now the bunner: the 5090 is the only real upgrade and will cost even more.
if someones concerned about the power cable melting, just buy a 4090 gigabyte v2 the power connector is finally in a normal place and not have to bend from the front
@@masterbuilder0018 I mined for 8 hours every day when I was sleeping, and an additional 8 hours on those days that I worked. I scaled back the power slightly so I didn't overheat the VRAM.
@@shrederman9838 Thought about it actually, but I have some sentimental attachment to this card. Also, I undervolted when I mined with it and carefully monitored the VRAM temperatures, so I think it will hold up for another few years. Just need to get to the NVidia 6000 series, then I'll upgrade.
I would love to wait and get a 5090, but I feel with scalpers and the price tag, it will be next to impossible to get one at launch. And then how long after that will they have enough stock to actually get one? That’s my issue
If you look at this generation, you can see scalpers lost. They tried early on but no one was biting. Gamers were so upset at Nvidia for the 40 series pricing that hardly anyone was rushing to get these cards. As you can see today, there are tons of 4090s available. I predict the same thing for the 5090. Sure, day 1 will have limited supply and a bunch of people may rush to upgrade. This will cause a temporary sell out, but this won't be due to scalping. I'm not a fortune teller. But that is my best educated guess.

The 4090 is such a leap in power compared to any other generation it’s more then enough for me and anyone else I wouldn’t be suprised if they kept selling it along side the 5090 4090 stay at 1600 and 5090 will be 1999 msrp

Fantastic video Erock!! I personally saved up for my first top end card. Got the MSI 4090 Liquid X a year and 1 month ago. My cons are: 1. Price 2. The length is shorter but its wide as hell! 3. Possible clearance or space issues with smaller cases due to having the 240mm radiator Pros: 1. It runs COOL 2. I’ve had no issues with it 3. It was only $50 more than the FE at the time. 4. The performance of a 4090 is incredible for 4k gaming Since day 1 I’ve only been using mine at 75% power to keep the wattage down, I’ve had custom cables made that have been incredible. I ordered an Ncase M2 Crater case so I’m gonna see how this will fit if possible but this GPU has been a BEAST. I just wish I could have gotten my hands on an FE model but it’s always been out of stock.
Thank you! You make a good point about your 4090 specifically. Since you have a radiator that makes it even harder for you to decide on cases. Only $50 more than the founders is truly incredible. Yeah the founders model is something I wish I had as well. They look so good and they are typically the smallest cards. I have not heard of that case you mentioned. I will look it up! Thank you!
Been a console gamer since the Atari 2600 just switched over to an RTX 4090 pc, loving it I can play any game 60fps at maxed out settings, just what I wanted.
I found a 4090 tuf OC at a 60% discount. Should I get it? I have a 2080 ti? I was set fpr the 7900 xtx but then I found it. My "smuggler" has it for a limited time and I'm thinking of taking it?!?! I need help! Sounds shaddy but it's. In broken box.
The funds come out of his business as an expense. So if he made $100k last year and bought a 4090, he would only have 98k as profit he would have to pay tax on at 13%. Vs paying 13% tax on the entire 100k, and then getting taxed again when he puts the money into his personal account
I took the risk and bought a broken 4090 for 600$ on ebay. Turned out it works just fine! Been using it for the past year or so and love the performance. Would never ever pay msrp for it. Perfect for me since i play on a 4k 144hz monitor. I usually hover around 90-144 depending on the game and its visual goodies.
@@Yessir74680 It depends on each model. Mine started off with some coil whine. But now it’s non existent. I guess it needed to “warm up” or something lol 😂
The biggest con about the 4090 is it doesn't stop people from telling you to "just upgrade your PC bro" and that goes double if you aren't running the newest highest end CPU possible (even if it's not any better or even worse for gaming). 9950x>9800X3D for many and 9950x>9700x in gaming for the vast majority.
Waiting for the 5090, but it pry won't release this year due to design defect rumors. Also same rumors saying they are standardizing the the 16pin connector for the 50 series to avoid the melting issues they had with the 4090.
Nice work man, also kudos for touching on the efficiency aspects of the 4090. I was one of those people who saw a rather large drop off in performance (in the games I play**) when dropping the power to about 70%. It's definitely a good idea if you are going to play a game that is easy to run, you want the max performance out of that game, but you don't need 700 fps. Drop the power, limit the frames and enjoy that efficiency! Keep up the great work my friend.
Thank you man I really appreciate it! I also appreciate the advice on the topics before releasing the video. Thank you for sharing your experience with me.
@@ErockOnTech Absolutely man. Also solid advice on waiting, it's easy to forget that people don't hardcore follow the market, and the 50 series being so close... Definitely a wait period for anyone looking to buy a card soon.
@@techwandoUS I sold an AIO this week on the Facebook marketplace. The guy I sold it to was talking about selling his 4070 Ti and getting a 4090. I told him to just wait. He seemed shocked by this.
@@techwandoUS A lot of people tend to forget that binning is a thing for GPUs as well as CPUs and RAM. Power limiting will be very card specific... even across identical models.
I own a 4090 and the jump to 5090 is not worth it until Nvidia solves the energy consumption problem. The 4090 soaks up 400 watts and the 5090 soaks up a massive 600 watts. You're gonna burn down your house running that toaster, 600 watts is as much as a microwave oven. I would also wait a year or two until the kinks are worked out from a new card. The 4090 on launch came with a ton of problems and cracked boards. I waited until the melting cable problem was fixed before I bought my 4090.
Which pricing developments are to be expected in the month around the release of the RTX 5090 ? I want to grab a 4090 because of its 24GB VRAM (only for Microsoft Flight Sim) THX. I have a 4080 and it more often then not could use the additional GBs... THX
I'm not a fortune teller. But I can make an educated guess. My best guess is that the 5090 will be announced and once it is announced; the release date will be within 4 weeks of announcement. During those 4 weeks, if there is going to be a drop on the 4090 price, that would be the time. The key is second hand market. I've seen this a couple of times now. It is common for people who have the highest end card to sell it for cheap on Ebay and Facebook marketplace in the weeks leading up to the new best card launch. That is when the deals happen.
@@ErockOnTech Thank you! Premium service on this channel, me gusto! I think i will get rid of my 4080 in 2 or 3 month and wait for the Announcement... Really hope the prices coming down substantially. THX
Good realistic longterm usage overview. I have two 4090s and both have performed exceptionally well with no issues at all. One I use for overclocking/records and have had no connecter issues.
Thank you for the comment. I'm happy both 4090s have treated you well. I'm grateful my 4090 has served me well also. I feel bad for the other people who were not so lucky.
"So far, the 4090 MSI Suprim X has been performing well. I also acquired a Cablemod angled adapter that Cablemod recommended a voluntary Safety recall for both versions which I had used 1.0 & 1.1. After six months of use, I disconnected it following Cablemod's recommendation. I must say that I have a native 12VHPWR cable directly from the power supply to the GPU, which likely prevented any melting issues. From various rumors, the 5090 may also feature this type of connection, but who knows. I am likely going to procure the 5090 card as well or take a trip to Pompeii. Not sure LOL
New 4090 owner. I just wanted to be able to play my favorite game at 240 FPS at 4K. I can do that, with almost no drops in FPS. I'm happy with my 4090. Sure, I could have waited for the 50 series, till next year? We don't even know if it's going to be better for FPS, or pack in new features nobody wants, like built-in, AI. If you wait, you'll always be waiting for something better. At some point, you need to pull the trigger. I could afford it right now, I don't know about in eight months what I can afford.
The price of a Ferrari is huge to but does that make it a bad car ? 2 years running my Asus Strix and no problems and it fits in my corsair case. Running a 1200wat corsair PSU no problems and when you buy a card like this i am sure you can pay the bills. Y can no problems. 👌❤
Back in June of 2022 I paid about 630 usd for my Gigabyte White RTX 3070 8GB card from Newegg. That is the most I've ever paid for a gpu. I game at 4k resolution 60hz but have had to tweak settings in games such as GTA V 4 to look good at 4k. It does look pretty good but I wish I could use more MSA settings since I believe I can only get it work properly with x2 and not x4 or x8. Since that is too demanding for this gpu at 4k. I want to upgrade in the future but I also don't want to spend thousands of dolllars on a gpu. Maybe I'll end up spending between 500-600 dollar range. I am waiting to see what rtx 5000 series will be priced at and what the performance jump will be. I was not impressed by the performance jump in the 4000 series. I've watched videos of people comparing 3000 series and 4000 series card and I don't think the performance jump is deserving of my money.
Yea I have a 4090. Issues I've encountered are: CPU Bottlenecks, Hot room, and I had to spend an extra $50 to get a case large enough to fit it with everything else I wanted. Voltage limited to 925mv at 2525MHz and +700MHz VRAM. I think I gained performance because of the VRAM overclock?
I paid just shy of a 4090 founders msrp for my 4080. I sometimes think back and wish I would have just spent the extra for the 4090. Truthfully though I love my 4080 overall it’s been fantastic but I will be going 5090 when that comes out.
I have a 4090, bought when it released. Honestly, because i do own one I don't think i will upgrade to a 5090. What are your thoughts on this? Honestly, I feel like if you already have one there won't be a major need to upgrade to a 5090 like the jump from 3090 to 4090.
The 4090 was actually a decent upgrade over the 3090. But even then, financially speaking, it wasn’t worth it to upgrade. So I don’t think current 4090 owners should get a 5090. But a lot of them will. I have to get a 5090 because I am a creator.
1 year and a half going strong absolutely love it and bo issues. I am skipping the 50 series as I think my 4090 will still perform equivalent to a 5080 so no need to upgrade ultra the 60 series.
I finally got my 7900xtx to play my games without crashing. I had to file a ticket with AMD. Long story short, after i sent them a msconfig file, asus armoury crate was causing errors. I used win11 troubleshooting to fix the errors. Day 6 and no crashes. I can finally run my games at the highest settings. I almost gave up on AMD. I was looking at 4090’s. Now im convinced 7900xtx is worth every penny!!!❤ Thanks for the video!
@ yes. I just got an hdmi cable and ran it to my 4k oled 55” tv. I play single player games on it and competitive games om my 34” Alienware 1440p 165hz monitor. It looks fantastic on the oled. Oled will change your life bud!!
I just bought a 4090 for a new build. 5090’s are going to release with insane demand due to Ai, gaming, etc. So good luck getting one! I’ll wait for them to be more readily available and fix all the initial issues.
I have one, but like you I was able to absorb the cost due to it being a "business" write-off. From that perspective, biased to be clear, it's fine. I use it for production workloads, and its been a solid; runs cool and quiet for the performance it delivers. I also use it for gaming, and it is honestly extreme overkill for the few games I do play.
I dont think ive ever seen a 4090 for $1500 ever. I guess maybe a used one on ebay or something. I think the lowest i have ever seen is $1800ish. I havent looked in a while.
I had to switch from original O11D to Montech King 95 to fit the Gigabyte Gaming 4090, and get a Corsair 12VHPWR cable. Annoying at first but the performance was undeniably breathtaking, and still is. Never seen the card run above 70 deg unless I’m trying with synthetics.
Pros: It's the best we currently have for 4k RTX ON. Cons: 4090 is too slow for native 4k. Need 5090 and more likely the 6090 to get good frames at max settings in native 4k.
i just bought a 1 month old used 4090 strix for 1300€ and im just gonna sell it again for 1000€ when i get a 5090 or titan AI if im even able to get one
As an owner of the 4080 super I echo your sizing comments, and am surprised not many reviewers criticised it. The 4080 has the same TDP as the 3080, the 3080 cooler was fine, so by comparison this one feels really overbuilt, it was a few cm's too big to fit into my fractal define R4 with the drive bay installed, so I had to remove 5 of the bays, I also noticed in the cases like the one you showed, again its just a few cm's. Its like the designers had no consideration, or maybe there was an agreement with case manufacturers to help sell new cases. Similar with the power cable problem, the 3080 adaptor only needs 2 PCIe cables, the 4080 has the same power limit, so why does it now need 3? On the 3080 the slot is angled so the cable bend problem is amplified by the fact it leaves the card at a 90 degree angle instead of like on the 3080. The card feels like it has some very obvious design flaws in its size and the power connection. Again wonder if a deal to sell PSUs as so many PSUs only have 2 PCIe cables and Nvidia forbid using pigtail configuration. I purchased a cablemod right angled cable, which would plug directly in to my PSU and GPU, (this has yet to be recalled and they claim its safe), although in the end I decided to use the horrid Nvidia adaptor, as I couldnt see anything on cablemod;'s website which verified their cable supports the newer slightly more robust standard with the power slot revision, and if I was to get a burn out, and Nvidia discovered I was using a 3rd party unsupported cable, they might refuse RMA. I do plan to use custom power curves to tame the beast, and maybe undervolt it as well.
$2k for a used car price that gets more value than a GPU that’s obsolete in a few years or at a minimal beam replaced by something better. Damn I need my own patreon, Lmao.
its for future proofing. Correct me if Im wrong. yes its not that beneficial now but in maybe 4 years you will appreciate the extra power you have over a 4080 It seems like there is a big price difference though. However, waiting for next gen cards doesnt make sense to me. They will have completely new hardware like RAM and board. Those will be astronomically expensive also. So what are we supposed to do ?
I would say its more efficient than any other high end gpu from this or last gen It barely reaches its max tdp 99% of games are hovering around 250 and 350 watts and this is with no fps lock
I bought mine for $1200 open box at Best Buy with no issues. If I can sell it for $1200 due to the demand and get the 5090 I will likely do so as long as my other components meet the qualifications.
I love my 4090 but yes the price really hurt and I have had some issues. It's not that I have a problem affording it, it just hurts to spend that much on a graphics card. I have had problems with the connector though and the transient spikes this thing demands from the power supply. The problem I had with the connector/cable was one from cablemod that was causing black screens while gaming, and apparently the fans would have ramped up to 100% in that situation but my card is watercooled so I never had that issue. The problem with the transient spikes I experienced occurred when I had an EVGA Supernova G6 1000W power supply. Every now and then a transient spike would occur and trip the over current protection on the PSU and that would require me to flip the switch on the PSU to reset it. EVGA did replace the PSU with G7 1000W but I had already purchased a new PSU so I haven't used it, but their customer service was great. After switching to an FSP Hydro PTM X Pro 1000, I have had zero issues with black screens and it also really helped with coil whine (there wasn't a lot before, but it is essentially non existent now) as well.
Thank you for sharing your experience. I have heard of monitor issues with the 40 series cards. I had no idea that the root cause of some of these issues could be related to the cable mod adapter itself. Very interesting.
@@ErockOnTech Yea, the problem was with the sense pins on the cablemod cables. They have since modified the cables to prevent that issue (I believe it is called "stealth sense"). I do not know if the 90 degree adapter had that issue though since I never used it.
I honestly do not think anyone will be able to get their hands on a 5090 when it drops at all due to scalpers i would say best bet is to get a 4090 now then sell it later and get a 5090 when you can but thats just my opinion

The silicon package on the 4090 is a massive monolithic Die so cooling it is easier at the same wattage as a 13900KS at full throttle because the die on the cpu is tiny af.
If the plan is 8k ? Then go for it. If the plan is 4k or less, it's not gonna make much of a difference. Now enthusiast ? They will upgrade every version
Pros and cons about the RTX 4090 Pros: Still a fast GPU, kills at Ultrawide resolutions, great long term value Cons: Still can't spread it's wings in many scenarios. It's still not able to show it's full potential. And don't bring up Unreal 5 games to talk about struggling. UE5 still needs a lot of work in regards to smooth performance. Yes RT still kicks any GPU in the rump. But it's very doable in many cases with the 4090.
Bought 1 month after release and played lots of different single player titles at 4k on an oled TV. For some older titles the fans don't even spin, so it works always silently :) I bought a sleeved 12vhpwr cable for my Corsair power supply and using a vertical mount and no fire yet ;)
I bought it because the 4080 (1150 to1500)was also expensive and for 400/500 (1600 to 2000) more at that point in time I could be certain i would not need the rtx5080 and could wait for the rtx 6080. Seeing the trend of GPU prices going up and up and needing a new card it had to be one for atleast 4 to 5 years !! I don t see a need for a rtx 5080 because the 4090 can do everything even unreal engine 5 and with the current dlss etc it will be fine for years to come. Unless i wan t 360hz 4k or 120hz 8k ( not really gonna happen in the next 3 to 4 years)i m good for the next 3 or 4 years i m set and don t have to worry about GPU prices going up and down !! Seeing the rumors the rtx 5080 is not going to be better in any way perhaps it has a slighty higher boost clock but less memory and bandwith despite the ddr 7. The only upside DP 2.0/2.1 and well SDC seems to work for 4k 240hz so not worried about that ! OMG the connector is fine perhaps for real overclockers pushing 650 watt or even more and doing stupid things with that connector yes a very very small change something can go wrong !! For those with a 3000 series card you re in luck the RTX 5080 is allmost a rtx 4090 with DP 2.0 for 900 dollars so they say.😂😂 Yeah so probably 1100 / 1400 euro . Still the real stuff comes with the rtx 6000 series but then it's 2027/2028 !!
4090 was the highest volume selling Ada card in the prior 3 weeks, channel available < 32%. 4070ti Super < 22.4%, 4070 original < 3.3%, 4060ti 8 GB < 18.1%, 4060 8 GB < 21.8%. The other big Nvidia mover in the last month were Ada Pro Vis laptops that filled the channel in the last month and then sold off in three weeks. All other RTX Geforce SKUs gain and cards in SI PC desktops are equal to all cards available om the shelf. On the AMD side RDNA ll sold off < 8% in the last 3 weeks is selling out and RDNA lll finally crossed over RDNA ll in total channel available volume. Ada appears to be selling better than RDNA lll and I expect on current PC market deflationary price slide continuing CPU, dGPU, SI PC price reductions continuing into holiday sales season and for current and back one gen processors and similar laptops well into second half 2025. Bought the RTX 4090 the moment Zen 4 X3D came out and build a system. Best buy ever coming from a 6700K + GTX 1080!!! Using it with a 1440P 240 refresh OLED monitor so it should last me a while.
@@ElitePWNSFace Yeah, well I got forced into not upgrading because COVID made it so I couldn't buy anything or it was way too expensive.
I personally saved up for my first top end card. Got the MSI 4090 Liquid X a year and 1 month ago.
My cons are:
1. Price
2. The length is shorter but its wide as hell!
3. Possible clearance or space issues with smaller cases due to having the 240mm radiator
Pros:
1. It runs COOL
2. I’ve had no issues with it
3. It was only $50 more than the FE at the time.
4. The performance of a 4090 is incredible for 4k gaming
Since day 1 I’ve only been using mine at 75% power to keep the wattage down, I’ve had custom cables made that have been incredible.
Thank you!

Which 4090 is better
I own a 4090 and the jump to 5090 is not worth it until Nvidia solves the energy consumption problem. The 4090 soaks up 400 watts and the 5090 soaks up a massive 600 watts. You're gonna burn down your house running that toaster, 600 watts is as much as a microwave oven.

The 4090 was actually a decent upgrade over the 3090. But even then, financially speaking, it wasn’t worth it to upgrade. So I don’t think current 4090 owners should get a 5090. But a lot of them will. I have to get a 5090 because I am a creator.

Yup me too. I know they will be hard to get initially and also I will be waiting for the white 5090s

Holy crap... has it really been a year? 😭
I'm a little early but we are very close yes.
I bought one recently because idk how long before I could get a 5090 at a fair price. I'm not repeating the same 2020 race or whatever that was lol
4090 is a dream card i can't justify the price so i settled with a 4070 Ti a year ago and it has treated me well
$2k for a used car price that gets more value than a GPU that’s obsolete in a few years or at a minimal beam replaced by something better. Damn I need my own patreon, Lmao.
I was gonna buy a new gaming pc with a 4090. So thank you ill wait for n3xt year then. Have a happy Thanksgiving 😊
I can justify getting a 90s series card because I'm a blue collar six figure single father
90s series? Wtf u talking about 😂

@ I am a maintenance man that fixes commercial high rise for the white collars
its for future proofing. Correct me if Im wrong. yes its not that beneficial now but in maybe 4 years you will appreciate the extra power you have over a 4080
It seems like there is a big price difference though. However, waiting for next gen cards doesnt make sense to me. They will have completely new hardware like RAM and board. Those will be astronomically expensive also. So what are we supposed to do ?
I am waiting for the 5090
Me too. Excited to see it.
I would say its more efficient than any other high end gpu from this or last gen
It barely reaches its max tdp 99% of games are hovering around 250 and 350 watts and this is with no fps lock
I paid $1806 after tax, got it used, dell 4090 model, can't wait to upgrade, I need more power.
What do you do to need more power?
I honestly do not think anyone will be able to get their hands on a 5090 when it drops at all due to scalpers i would say best bet is to get a 4090 now then sell it later and get a 5090 when you can but thats just my opinion
These UA-camrs are acting like you can just buy one at launch lol telling you to wait when they are gonna get there’s for free or right away to review it 😂
Haha I just bought one. Who knows when the 5090w can be purchased, especially with AI. I want to use it today and needed it.
That's totally fine! I'm one man on the internet making best educated guesses on the data I have. There is no way any one UA-camr could ever predict what is best for everyone's personal situation. If you needed it, then no problem. I hope you enjoy it! Cheers! :)
@@ErockOnTech yeah I just thought it was funny your video popped up as my first search result, 10 minutes after installing the new card.
I should have purchased it sooner so I could have gotten more use out of it!
The silicon package on the 4090 is a massive monolithic Die so cooling it is easier at the same wattage as a 13900KS at full throttle because the die on the cpu is tiny af.
i'm here to convince myself not switching to 5090 from my 4090 lmao
If the plan is 8k ? Then go for it. If the plan is 4k or less, it's not gonna make much of a difference. Now enthusiast ? They will upgrade every version
Lian Li 011 works with a RTX4090 using a vertical mount.
Pros heater for the winter, cons my wallet gets empty
Pros and cons about the RTX 4090
Pros: Still a fast GPU, kills at Ultrawide resolutions, great long term value
Cons: Still can't spread it's wings in many scenarios. It's still not able to show it's full potential.
And don't bring up Unreal 5 games to talk about struggling. UE5 still needs a lot of work in regards to smooth performance.
Yes RT still kicks any GPU in the rump. But it's very doable in many cases with the 4090.
4090 as expensive as it was, I'm super happy with my purchase.
Bought 1 month after release and played lots of different single player titles at 4k on an oled TV.
For some older titles the fans don't even spin, so it works always silently :)
I bought a sleeved 12vhpwr cable for my Corsair power supply and using a vertical mount and no fire yet ;)
I have a 6800. 4090 sales are and have been good and desktop cards including in SI PCs for sale represent 9% of all Ada available in the WW channel today. mb
2 things know to be true, it's probably a UE5 title and they built the title with DLSS in mind 😂
4090 used prices are starting to really go down in my area
Bought the RTX 4090 the moment Zen 4 X3D came out and build a system. Best buy ever coming from a 6700K + GTX 1080!!! Using it with a 1440P 240 refresh OLED monitor so it should last me a while.
@@nossy232323 It’ll definitely last you a while! Thats a good setup!
Very cool to hold off that long before upgrading. I could learn something from your dedication.
@@ElitePWNSFace Yeah, well I got forced into not upgrading because COVID made it so I couldn't buy anything or it was way too expensive. And then later when prices started to come down we were already way too late in the hardware cycles. I just put a fixed amount of 1K / year aside for my PC hobby. And when I can upgrade to something good with the buffered money, I'll buy.
Wouldn't be worth it to go for a 4k monitor for you? It would be a huge upgrade for story games, btw im going to hopefully buy a new pc soon upgrading from m330 gpu and i5 5200u Lenovo laptop to a desktop pc with hopefully 6700xt and 5600 lvl performance 😊
Same setup bro with 2k oled cheers 🍻
