I love the 2002-2004 Nissan Xterras. I used to own one. It came from the factory with a supercharger.

I hope that you enjoyed your holiday weekend. Interesting on the Nissan how some people will not spend a little money along to keep their vehicles up.

After explaining the importance of controlled air intake to the Mass Air Flow Sensor, the inexpensive connecting tube would be a no-brainer. Even expert advice can't keep us from making poor decisions. I guess you see it year after year.

You would be amazed how easily aftermarket "CAI's" cause MAF issues, MAF are extremely sensitive calibrated sensors, that increase in airflow usually causes intermittent starting/idling issues. It's a lot of headache for a sub-5hp increase or no increase at all.. most "CAI" designs just suck in hot air anyway

Enjoy the time off Jimmy, the decline on the inexpensive rubber bellow is disheartening.. we both know what happens when you run an engine over time with no filter.. sigh. Appreciate the video regardless!

Should have unplugged sensor to determine if the signal is a pull up or pull down design. Sometimes the signal wire is broke that would have a bias voltage on then you’d have no signal also

I usually ohm out the good sensor vs the bad.

Brake Clean, it comes in bulk rather than using cans.

He's got more duct tape (or Gorilla tape) at home for the unmetered air leaks Jimmy!

Absolutely. I have zero sympathy for those people. I've seen people that run their junk into the ground but don't hesitate to spend an entire pay/welfare check on a tattoo. Its priorities..

@@JimmyMakingitwork you sure work on a lot of Nissans too! Lol! I hate their wiring, and engines! Just no comparison to Toyota or Honda in my opinion! I just do t think they last as long? What you think? You know them better than me! I’m retired! Lol

Why buy new rubber boots when a roll of duct tape will do. Maybe it's the customers way of achieving a hot air intake.
