How is legend bloodline over alacrity, If you build kraken over botrk? That way you can have both damage and lifesteal at the expense of some AS.
Or is it better to always keep alacrity and swap between the first items based on the game?
@@Aceinine i personally always took alacrity since its a better early game rune also with Kraken it helps a lot pumping up that early DPS
@@Aceinine Alacrity gives 3% AS at level 1. Bloodline does absolutely nothing until you get stacks and it doesn't really become "worth" until you max it.

Thanks for guide! Another pretty good mechanics to know on tristana is w-flash (much faster than flash-w, less reaction time for enemy), w in walls (you click on the thicc wall instead over it, lil bit faster), insec with r flash (w to jump into and then r + (flash behind them) to kick enemy into your tower/team, also you can proc e almost instantly with auto i belive)
I dont even play mid but Curtis you the goat for this videos man..

Very similar experiences for tristana on bot vs mid based off what I'm hearing except you have several things that make her harder to perform. You're in a 2v2 on bot, so your lane is dictated differently and "war of attrition" is not always necessarily a playable option. Your passive is a downside in unfavorable 2v2's because it forces you to forever push. You're against 2 champs, not 1, so your goal is to set up for support plays and hope they perform well and be ready for kill opportunities especially at lvls 2-3 and 6 when they decide they can move. If you don't get a kill by lvl 2-3 on tristana on bot, your game is going to be incredibly more difficult and you're hoping to play on a random jungle or dragon skirmish with wave prio in order to create some kind of lead, or for a bot lane dive by the jungler or a roaming mid for an advantage. You can't take demolish as a bot laner, so tower plate destroying is only a "sometimes" option as well, and then as you enter the mid game you might want to split in the same style in some moments, but now you have to do so while down 2 levels compared to everyone else, so you get less opportunities than you would had you just played her mid, plus again, you don't have demolish so its not as good as just dueling it out in a fight. It's much more emphasized on playing fights well for bot lane than macro plays. Basically tristana mid is easy mode while tristana bot is hard mode. She seems like such a better mid laner to me.

I'm getting into ranked for the first time fr since i started playing, and in norms the champs i played the most were orianna and ryze, but I am not having fun on ryze this patch and im burnt out on orianna so I've been playing syndra and azir this season, and so far in he four promos i played im at iron 1, wondering if i should hard one trick syndra, but im a little nervous to because I've heard shes really weak to multi threat comps, so I'm not sure if i should add something like trist to my pool or if learning how to play into multi threat comps is gonna be good for me overall, very lost pls help

Tristana is the kind of champions the second I'll put time into her they'll soft rework her to be a botlaner as they did on Lucian
She wasnt too hard to pick up! if you follow her reference points you should be able to get her down pat in +- 30 games if you are above Silver :) Especially given this guide

I used to main adc (it was actually my first role), and I've played some Lucian and Akshan mid so it's not the gameplay that I am reluctant about.
It's mostly the fact that she's very high prio in pro right now (and it seems to be the same in high mmr soloQ as well), and Riot doesn't like ADC in the midlane (apart from Akshan who was specifically designed for mid), and they changed Lucian's passive to get him out of the lane.
Reading some of the comments it feels like the player base is also not satisfied with Tristana being a midlaner… And for good reasons.
That being said, she's been viable mid for a long period of time and they havent been very vocal about it so maybe they're ok with Tristana in her current state, but it's not likely.
@@alpharaon3560 Yeah everything youre listing is spot on. I do think in general ADC's like Trist their kit just suits mid so well. So if they want to remove her they really gotta hit HARD or change parts of her kit
@@alpharaon3560rist has been a viable mid since like season 4 or 5 when her e was a DoT grevious wound, itll be pretty hard for them to push her out of mid her w is just too powerful for the lane
@@momoaa Yes she needs a partial rework in order to get her out of the midlane ; same for Vayne in the toplane (except Vayne top is very fringe in pro).

I've been playing trist mid and really enjoying it but I am iron, I don't understand why my rank means I shouldn't play it, I feel like you should play what you want to play, esp since it's not exactly like she is irelia or azir level difficulty
They pretty much explained it, the champion takes a basic nuanced understanding of the game. You need to know matchups, understand jungle movement, looking at minimap ect so that you can use your w effectively to pressure the lane, cuz the champ is not that good if you are just playing super passive and not snowballing or way too agro and dying a bunch.
You can play whatever at the end of the day, if you are enjoying it thats fine, they just dont recommend it to climb/improve at the game when at iron you should be focusing on much more basic stuff than what you need to focus on while playing trist to excel.
@@momoaaAgain, I totally understand when the champion is hard to pilot so when you have to learn the game AND pilot the champion it's too much for a beginner, but I've been playing for a year and don't find tristana hard to pilot or gain muscle memory with at all. Maybe I interpret Coach Curtis wrong but in his "how to climb with each rank" episode of his podcast he basically said "iron players shouldn't be in ranked" like ok I guess I have to play 1000s of normals games, I'm level 80 not 30 but feel like I learn way more in ranked than norms where no one is trying
@@ShadowSerpent9797 im way higher elo than you and have base mechanics down pretty solid, but i still play a normal to warm up before ranked grind or normal for learning a new champion, i dont think theres all that much difference between normal and ranked game quality but maybe theres a bigger disparity in match quality at low elo. Not sure about the context behind 'iron players should just play norms', i dont think theres anything wrong with just playing ranked but if you are playing ranked your play should be very intentional, you should be improving and thinking about what you are doing ect.
I was a trist main (adc) for a really long time but she is so gutted for adc role because of her midlane power that ive champ swapped, personally i can see your point about trist being overall pretty simple and not bad for beginners but her w being a free int button is just too much of a detriment for less aware players, which you would tend to find in low elo. If you are enjoying it though, dont let that stop you, i think trist is rediculously fun so i dont blame u for wanting to play her
@@momoaa oh I also play a normals game before every ranked session to warm up, and I played her in normals for like 20-30 games before bringing her to ranked. I even played intermediate bot games with her before normals cause I never played an adc before. My norms games now though the match matching is fucked I'm either playing against level 5s and stomping them because they downloaded the game today or people who have been in gold and I get stomped lol. I just don't see her as a champion like an irelia or azir or even a yasuo or riven where it's like you need to be good at the game first. The W is an int button when limit testing for sure but I came from mages playing passive the whole game I needed something different
If you want to play it then ofcourse go ahead! That does mean that you are playing a champ that doesnt fully teach the game and if you are happy with that then thats fine

Akali is not planned for the Academy since shes extremely hard. We do have a different assassin in the program that’s naafiri. But if you are interested i did make a full on Akali guide earlier this year on my channel

How about an actually hard guide to make: Bel Veth Mid guide. Since her loss of lethal tempo, her dueling power has gone down against the champs she mainly countered. She is still splitpush and roaming focused champion.
Also, both Collector or Maw of Malmortious give a lot stronger spikes for tristana as first item, as the bulk of your damage is in your E. Also, the components (Serrated Dirk/Hexdrinker) really helps against lvl6 drop off.
Oh... I Also use different runepage. HoB/Sudden Strike/Eyeball Collection/Ultimate Hunter, with Triumph and Legend: Alacrity. I use electrocute instead of HoB against assasins, since it is very easy to proc against melee champions.
I do use fleet page against vic and xerath.
I am pretty sure bel is not a MLA approved champion, so no guide

tristana is definitely one of those midlaners that needs a guide, but i feel like she’s almost too niche to be worth learning. i wish there were more adc midlaners though
