Thank you so much for this, Leon!!! 🥰 This is such a tasty jam from The KING and it sounds sublime in these headphones! These are so fun... the entire series is phenomenal!!! You're the man!!! 🫡 👍💯 🐅 👑 ✨️ *T⚡️C⚡️B* ✨️ 👑 🐅
Written and performed by Paul Williams on the closing credits of the Clint Eastwood movie "Thunderbolt and Lightfoot"(1972)...great to hear that Elvis recorded it a year later. ✌️😎♥️👑🎧👑
I asked Paul Williams about this song one time years back on Facebook. Believe it or not, he actually replied and said that he was really proud that Elvis sang one of his songs. I'm also a fan of Paul Williams music. So it's pretty awesome to think about Elvis listening to his music back in the 70s. I could daydream about Elvis at Graceland putting on Paul Williams records all day haha.
Yet another completely different dimension to Elvis in beautiful evidence. His versatility is beyond compare. Who'd believe that he's the same person who also recorded Good Rockin Tonight, It's Now or Never, and Old Mcdonald?
Yes and in the same day or same sessions he did this great song also separate ways always on my mind and totally did one of the greatest rock songs in the 70s overall and his greatest rocker BURNING L😍 ❤😊😅
Love how the bass, guitar and drums get to shine in this song. The first bars of the verses are so catchy - and then you end up singing along these nostalgic words to a lively rhythm... The Elvis paradox strikes again.
Such a great song I first heard, sung with Elvis' stable and beautiful touching voice, making me feel the vibe of gospel song a bit !!...I can say this is Elvis' top notch song showing his top level musicality and his diversity in music. Thanks for sharing Leon. 💎🎋💎°°💗🎋💗°°♥️🎋♥️
I was going to say this is a hidden gem, but you state it well in the description. This is a really great song, with a really great opening licks, and much better than the original, I think. I think it, Fool, and Love Me Love the Life I Lead are all great. I wish those there were all placed on album in late 72 with Seperate Ways/Always On My Mind and Burning Love/It's a Matter of Time. What an album that would have been - and a grand precursor to the Aloha album. Alas, it didn't happen. But, I thank you for this and all you do! I'd love to have long conservation with you about Elvis music!
WHERE DO I GO FROM HERE? If I knew the way I'd go back home The countryside has changed so much I'd surely end up lost Half-remembered names and faces So far in the past On the other side of the bridges That were burned once they were crossed Tell me where, where does a fool go when there's no one left to listen To a story without meaning That nobody wants to hear? Tell me where, where does a fool go When he knows there's something missing? Tell me where, where will I go from here? Where will I go from here? Get back home Where my childhood dreams and wishes Still outnumber my regrets Go back to a place Where I can figure all the odds Have a fighting chance to lose the blues And win my share of bets

Awesome!! One of my favorite Elvis songs since I was 11 and got the Elvis 1973 LP for Christmas 1973.
Leon thanks for posting. I loved this song so much as a teenager. Still do. A gem 💎. From Ireland 🇮🇪

Love this!

Ronnie Tutt's drumming definitely elevates this one....otherwise it's not that great IMO.
*Peeps head in* Hmm.
?
???
@@resa.walters I had just posted a video with Where Do I Go From Here on my channel, and the time was coincidental.
I wish he sang this with a little less Elvis. His voice just didn’t need to be gimmicky all the time
lol…and then the Final Cut…much better! What a guy.
