I’m a concrete thinker who sits beside an abstract thinker in class. When he learn something new, he can apply it in different ways and see multiple solutions. I however, need to use the exact same set of tools or learn a new way to solve a problem to be able to progress. After trying to «rewire» my brain I have now started to ask myself the same question to try to become a better «abstract thinker», like «what/ or how can I apply this to a real life problem/ other problems?» then try to see different sides and connect my concrete brain to a real life issue that is possible for me to grasp.
You have my appreciation for this great video presentation. I think I am a concrete thinker, which is why I came here at first. I have a question though. When someone says they learn more about things when visuals are added to the teaching process, does this place them in the room of concrete thinkers by default?
Can't say that way. No one is a complete concrete thinker or abstract thinker. Abstract thinking isn't thinking really it's a moment at which mind 'clicks' to a solution...a way out!
@@MaenZubaydi you are right, maybe it's too complicated for you, sorry. Shortly, abstract is equal to "theoretical", "conceptual", "symbolic". The definition you use inclines more towards "system thinking" rather than any widely accepted definition of "abstract".

Abstract thinking is perceiving abstract objects like moral or evolution, not seeing objects from above. That's deceiving.
Maybe rephrase the sentence better so I can understand what you're writing?
