Exactly the review I was looking for, thanks for this. I don't have dogs to haul, but I'm looking for something decent size to throw camping gear into and pull behind my eBike. Looks like this will be almost perfect. Wish the sides weren't open, but this is the best option I've been able to find.
It would work good for that use and lots of room inside and on top for camping gear. You could cut panels from 1/4 inch plywood for the sides.
@@solarcabin I'll figure something out when it gets here, I'm pretty handy. The open sides may not even bother me.
I would have liked to see you ride the bike at the end of the video, then stop the bike and let the dogs out to explore. Those dogs are lucky to have all that space and an owner that takes them out like that.

i just got one for our border collie from Amazon...made by PawHut...handles dogs 45 lbs...has had 2 rides...i bribe him to get in by saying we going for icecream treat...which i did get him one...dont wanna lie !!
There ya go! My dogs know we are going hiking when I put the trailer on and they get in with no coaxing. They love to ride.

Very nice trailer. I'm in Ireland and I got something similar myself last year. Another German brand called Trixie in the largest size.
Unlike you, I currently don't have a dog but I got it specifically to use it as a fully enclosed cargo trailer for shopping and anything else.
It's got a lot of use and has been a practical way of turning an ordinary pedal power only hybrid bike into a real world practical alternative to using the car as much as possible.
I carry between 30-70kg loads on it once or twice a week.
I have a car but this is just more fun! 👍

Am getting a similiar model from the same company but The Original. Think it is only offered in one size. The floor on this Original model looks strong enough but am planning to buy a pet mattress that looks of high quality that the company offers. Maybe even a bolster. The Original I think offers foot brakes which is a must since I plan to use it as a stroller only and have had other pet strollers with this feature. The other models have had consumers complain about the crossbar. If this model also has that metal inside crossbar, I will try to cushion it with maybe plumbing pipe insulation. Need to bring it upstairs into my apt so probably will need to fold or break it down...it looks like it sits low to the road. A concern. I have two cats. Me and the chonky one can use some adventure and time away from raiding the fridge. The other one I am long term cat sitting until his people get a place. My cat older and arthritic, other health issues so this trailer is appealing because it looks solid and with the size offered for my cats perhaps enough room for them to be comfy with? I am aware my pet management and enjoyment needs are different than yours. I miss taking my cat in her younger years to many places including stores and she would get happy when I chose her pet treats. At the time I was in a boarding home and leaving her in the room not always the best option. I miss going on adventures with her.

Looks pretty close to the rear wheel. Does it rub the wheel when you turn?

It is a little close and I may need to find a bolt hole farther back. It doesn't hit the tire unless the dogs lean against the front but I don't want them to get hurt.
@@solarcabin In other videos I've seen...the trailer arm bolts to the rear axle bolt of the bike. Hope this helps.
@@solarcabin I read the Q&A section for this trailer and it says they offer a 12mm hitch option instead of the 11mm. I measured the axle nut size on my eBike and it's just slightly under 12mm. I requested their larger hitch size and plan to use the axle.
Trailer arm is WAAAAAAY TO SMALL. Glad I saw this review.
Any good parks or lakes near you that have flat trails? I don't have an ebike yet so all my peddling is grunt powered. Thanks for any info.
i have a few reservoirs close enough for the ebike to get to. Trails in the dunes where I take the dogs are pretty mild.

It says it can handle up to a 100lbs and it is very large inside.

Yes, it folds up and the wheels are removable.
Hi I Think that buying a dog trailer as a multipurpose trailer was rather ingenious of you. I have a question however, the sides of the trailer
" seem " to be mesh only ...is there some way to ensure on rainy days your critters or shopping supplies stay dry ??
It has a clear roll down windscreen for the front. You could probably get a cover for it?
@@solarcabin Hi thanks for the prompt reply, so the front and most likely the rear can be shielded from the elements ( rain etc. ), but the sides are vulnerable. This is something that must be noted by me, because I live in an urban environment, and with passing vehicles, the spray from those would quickly flood the interior of the trailer.
So, the windows on the sides are mesh only?

I was reading the reviews on Amazon and a couple of people said the fabric was thin and ripped on them. Does anyone who has one of these agree with this?
All these trailers use a pretty light material but I haven't had any rips so far.

Yes, I rode the ebike all summer and used that trailer for several trips with the dogs and no problems with either one.
Needs to be twice as big
