I like the ease of how it breaks down and that there's enough room for the dog to lay down.
it is good for the money
Have one for my rough collie, she too pushes the zippers so I put a piece of zip tie on the zipper holes at the end real tight so she can’t push them apart! Works like a charm
I would prefer having a fender on my bicycle so the mud and maybe stones would not fly up on to the cart and your family memeber could see where you are and where you are going . Great video thanks for sharing.
Funny enough, I have a new bike and have exactly that just fitted! ATB Rob
Good idea , I’m getting a trailer soon and i won’t forget about the fender
Yes your correct best to have full fenders keeps all road debris from hitting the trailer.
It would be great for shopping, and People in motor scooters too.
They are!
I bought a very similar sized Trixie brand large dog trailer from Amazon specifically for groceries and shopping.
I wanted something you could just drop your packed reusable shopping bags into the same as you would into the boot of the car and also throw in any other miscellaneous loose items you might pick up.
Plus have your rain gear or anything else you need with you too.
Everything is already fully covered, secure and you don't have to worry about losing anything on a bumpy ride home.
I usually have about 40-45kgs load in it on the way home and 6km each way to the shops.
I'm very happy that it was a much more practical option than a "cargo" trailer.
I wish I could buy this in the states. The collapsing, the tire shield window and the easy remove tires is everything I have been looking for.
Yup understanding that 👍
I think I have seen this same trailer on American videos being sold as Aosom?
They may sell their trailers under several different brand names or manufacture for other brands?
Look it up.
But there are definitely several other brands doing very similar trailers in large and even a few in extra large sizes.
You have plenty of choice.
This is awesome, thanks for the video. Our Shepherd is 12 and his hips are wearing. I hate not having him with us everywhere we go, so we're getting a trailer asap
good call :) Give your GSD a squeeze from us :)
She’s a cute happy lil muffin with her new trailer! Off to new adventures with daddo! 😊🐶
my baby!
Great video..just got our same dog trailer today...nice to see how you can collapse the trailer, yet it can still run..handy. also the wheels taken off makes it into an instant dog bed. I'd bring a plastic sheet to put on the ground before hand if needed. My dog is a full size black lab...nice to see a larger dog using a trailer too. Thx for posting.
Ooh a black lab ! My total fav! This lady is a police dog in training and very recently passed her probation and is now with her police handler so we miss her loads! Be really careful on the corners as the big dogs can tip the trailer over easily with their weight up high. Take care ATB Rob
Oh, that's good advice. Thx..
Thank you for the video ! Your dog is such a good girl too! What a cutie !
She's a police dog and has since left us to be with her officer , we miss her loads 😫 but proud she has made the grade 💓
@@WildCamper great job and good care.
Panoramic roof 🤣😂 Nice factory option. I haven't got any pets to place in one, do you think a comon house spider called Gerald would fit in it? It's quite a large spider. Cool viddy, love the music 😁😉
Cheers mate, got another giveaway coming and I know you like them 😍
@@WildCamper I love a giveaway Rob 😉 Hope you're well matey. 👍
@@BurtonOutdoors trying to stay on top mate 😜
@Eye of the Tiger Hey Duke 👍🤣
She looks well cute in there!
Good helpful video mate.
Hope you’re well
Dan
Cheers mucker, she's a good girl when it suits 😂
Why only 10m rides? Also are there really no trailers bigger than this? Found some interesting ones but unsure of the measurements...i see gsds fit more or less but am worried about my lab golden mix fitting.
Hi, 10m rides? Sorry don't understand . Not sure on other trailers I'm afraid.cheers
@@WildCamper younmentioned just 10 minute rides to the psrk not longer. I want a trailer big enough for him to lay down and be comfy on and ride for longer than that say an hour or so then stopping to chill. Not every time but still. He has arthritis and is aboit to be 9 this summer. He has had it since age 3. I am dying to enrich his life anyway i can.
@@adriananic8258 ah I see , yes this is not a trailer I would use for a dog of gsd size for longer then 10min as I didn't think it was comfy enough for her. I guess u could add a mat or bed for extra comfort.
"daaaaduuuy put a pillow / cushion or nice soft blanket in for me , its bumpy daaaaduuuuy" ;D)))
She's a police dog (puppy in this video) so used to a bit of rough and tumble 👍
Awwww your both so sweet together , she wants to go for a ride daddy ;D)))
My Belg. Mallinoise would love this thank for sharing
They are so beautiful those dogs
Wow she’s really happy ❤️❤️
She was the best dog ❤️
@@WildCamper was….i’m very sorry for you
I think the only addition to the video as a nice to see, would be a POV from inside the trailer on rides. Curious how much bumping on roads/trails.
No suspension so a far bit if bumpy roads
@@WildCamper thanks
Note: when trailer hitch to left side of hub of a bike with disk brakes the trailer weight pulls brake caliper off center putting right brake pad to drag against disk.
Excellent video, very informative. Two questions; how durable do you think the knuckle joint is on the tow-rod, and what type of valve is fitted to the tyre tube?
@@intheoutback for the price very good I think , the valve is a standard presta type.
I wish I had thought of my little dog opening the front mesh opening, the first time I took her out, she managed to escape and the trailer ran over her! I don't have the waterproof flap on my model, I shall have to think about rigging something up to keep her dry. She absolutely hates it, but we are working on that.
I think a small ziplock on the front section can solve that issue. Maybe a small bit of canvas or tent type material could be considered for the weather on the front (2nd hand store for a cheap doner tent?). Hope the dog was ok after being run over !
was she not leashed to the inside?
@@ellesnyder942 Yes she was, but I had the lead too long, long enough for her to escape, but not long enough to run away. lesson learned!
The coupler spring constantly flexing under load makes mine exhausting to use.
Shame , I must admit I wish my Bob trailer did a dog version!
You ever wonder how within the past they always seemed to have lots of noise within the back ground when people are just trying to build? Love the orange flag!
Hi mate great wee vid & beautiful dog going to buy one the same brand new off a lady she lives 25 miles from my location as I don't drive I'll have to use public transport my dog is a 15 yr old border collie with aging health issues he looks bout the size of your dog can you send me feedback on the size of the trailer plz or just the housing bit were the dog sits in inches or foot as I'm old metric lol hope you understand & is the dog ment to turn around while inside ? Thanks for sharing your vid your feedback would be much appreciated thank you you & your 4 legged friend stay safe & take care bye for now
Hey buddy , unfortunately I no longer have the trailer or dog as she was only with us for 10months (training her for police work which she is in active service for as I type!) So I sold on the trailer , she could turn in it fine, 👍
Sizes are all in the description , Google will be your friend to convert as needed , good luck with you purchase and be careful going round bends as they can tip over if you take it too sharply.
Looks like he absolutely loves his trailer. Why don`t you lift the front portion so he can feel the wind in his fur and admire the scenery whilst riding.
Yeah she was ok with the trailer but was at the time around 5 months old and being a pup would jump out if the opportunity arose!
i have the same one...I love it...but so far have not been able to really use it fr the dog ( i do groceries with it)...it is just too bumpy inside for him to be comfortable and enjoy the ride. If you really have bad roads with holes, he just get´s smacked around and wants to get out. he is a 25 kg Pit. Any ideas on how to make the ride smoother? suspension? thicker cushions inside?
Cushion I guess if the roads are bad , probably easiest and cheapest solution for sure 👍👍
Sweet girl!
Was the black cylinder (near the wheel hub) that you attached the trailer to already part of your bike or does that come with the trailer?
Comes with it 👍
Is there a framework underneath supporting the weight of the dog.tks
Somewhat , yes the frame is there . It does the job
Ill get one to test for my mali i guess stop whem wee see dog
I just bought a similar one but to use as a stroller. Does it need an extra cushion or matress inside?
Couldn't hurt to pad it out a bit.
@@WildCamper cool, thank you for reply
I want to get one but I have a 125lb Rotweiller. Would it work?
Dog would exceed the maximum weight I'm afraid 👍🐾
Look on the internet.
There are several with 110lbs load recommended but I'm sure another 15lbs wouldn't be any problem.
But with a large heavy dog, be careful going around corners.
A very heavy trailer would be needed to take a heavy dog..and all that weight will easily cause issues. Corners..braking..etc. it sets you off balance. And some , the covers are not that strong.
Is there a bigger version?? I have two dogs that are like medium size, roughly the same size as the dog in the vid
Not that I am aware of👍
I'm waiting for a dog trailer that can hold a 200lb dog.
Bigger breeds tend to get fucked up easier by hip dysplasia etc. Not making them larger is a scandal also is it just me or are tge manifacturers impossible to reach?
probably comes down to sales and maybe less owners with bigger breeds tend to buy such items , dunno really just a guess
Can it also be converted to a stroller?
No
those zip doors are not the best designs because all zips break , then how much money have you wasted ? because of a cheap design flaw
Seem to be ok for me and the mutt. I do have friends that ham-fisted and break these things easily 😜
How heavy can it hold
all in the description : STEEL FRAME: Supports up to 30kg in weight.
@@WildCamper love the vid! Does that mean that you’ll only be able to use it for a little while longer? Since gsd’s generally get heavier than 30kg. I have a gsd pup myself and am debating on getting this but I think he’ll get closer to 40kgs.
@@andressalgado-ponce4602 sadly our pup has gone into service now ( we train the dog for the local police) so it wasn't an issue for me (the weight). I would not exceed the weight limits . Also if you do buy one you very be very cautious on any corners as they can tip easy with a heavy doggo ❤️
@@WildCamper Thanks for the tip! Very helpful!
The flag needs to be on the other side😀
Sorry to keep adding comments. Keep an eye on the hole on the trailer side of the bar that attaches trailer to bike. On my previous trailer the hole started to stretch. It was a cargo trailer. And a cheap one at that. Yours looks a lot stronger. How long have you had it? 😀 How has it been?
Goes on both sides 👍
@@whoarewe7515 it is fine , ok for doggie duties at its price point.i also have a Bob ibex which is far superior but is 5 times the price!
How does it handle on the trails?
not a chance , roads, paths not dirt trails etc to tippy for my liking
Don't like the fact that her nose can poke out while you're riding 🧐
The velcro is not great for strong dogs tbh
Dude. It’s a German Shepherd, c’mon.
What do you mean, are they ok to run on the roads so?
And clearly a puppy at the time of filming, so needs to refrain from too much exercise to avoid damage to he joints. Also distances involved mean the trailer is handy for me as she would not manage those let alone along the busy roads where I live. Some may have dogs with disabilities or senior dogs that can't walk .
@@WildCamper I made that mistake of letting my now 15 yrs old collie run too much when he was a puppy.. now he also needs a buggy as sore and stiff with arteritis :( I just was young and not aware at the time
@@mayagame so easy to do 🙏
How big of a dog could that thing hold? Mine is ~38 kg Rottweiler bitch.
Edit: NWM, your description just stated 30 kg.
The dog is a (puppy) gsd at 20kg I think 25-30 would be maximum inmho 👍
Ps be careful on any turns involving any gradient as they tip over easy with a heavier dog 🐾❤️
@@WildCamper That's a good tip* Thank you.
Great video just ordered one Ove these👍👍👍👍👍👍 Thanks.
