Yes 5 years ago glycerin wasnt on the radar at all with working with the flowers. Now when I dye the flowers I almost always add a little bit of glycerin into my dye mix.
How do sola flowers feel compared to real fresh flowers? I'm wondering if getting the sola softener would make them more realistic feeling, or if they're already pretty pliable.
When they are raw (that cream color) they feel similar to foam almost and soft to the touch. When they are dyed they can sometime become a little bit harder to the touch. More paint and less water will make them a bit harder to the touch
So easy! I like the idea of using the egg crate to dry.
Can you do this while dip dying? Or would you recommend doing it before?
absolutely if you are going to dip dye just skip this step and reshape them while dyeing them.
I've watched a number of your videos - do you recommend using a water and glycerin combo now?
