During the build up to Usain Bolt's Olympic 200m heat the Jamaican struck up a conversation with 16 year old Olympic volunteer George Hoy.
After helping Bolt with his training equipment, Hoy was shocked when Bolt offered him his hat as a thank you, another great moment from the London 2012 Olympic Games.
Since 1896, athletics has been on the programme of each edition of the Games of the Olympiad. Its presence on the Games programme has allowed its popularity to increase across the world. This popularity was also strengthened by the creation of the IAAF in 1912. Women's events appeared for the first time at the 1928 Olympic Games in Amsterdam, while the men's programme was standardised as of the 1932 Games in Los Angeles. Although at the beginning women were authorised to participate in only some events, today their programme is almost identical to that of the men.

Such a selfless legend. It may not have meant a lot to him, just a casual gift... but that moment could be the most touching in that kids lifetime. I've always been so supportive of Usain. He's confident yet not overly cocky, and such a genuine guy

Bolt is such a class act. He knows the people love him, he has a bit of an ego, but he pays his dues for it and embraces the people that love him, he doesn't snub them like so many other top athletes and stars do. Great athlete and performer
I totally agree with you, despite his unmeasurable ego Usain Bolt is approachable, sociable, loveable and caring. He doesn't trash people down, he is not arrogant towards other athletes and he delivers the merchandise. What a world athlete!

Probably around his olympic record of 19.30. He might have even been faster than that but he didn't slow down by much so it's hard to say for sure

Mohd Dazli Sorry but that's just nonsense. Did you watch the olympic 200m final in Rio? He went all out and was clearly disappointed that he didn't manage to break his record and go sub 19. He just is not as fast as he once was and that's ok because age takes its toll. It's normal.

Our Sydney 2000 Olympics, although it was 20 Years Ago, is still fresh in my mind and was one of the most incredible things I've ever experienced. The atmosphere, the athletes, the excitement, the fantastic sports and sportsmanship over the course of the Olympics was magical. The Paralympics were also fantastic and again the atmosphere and athletes were amazing.
Bolt is very divine personality, He is very kind and generous.. that's the reason he is at the top of the world.
Cabbie that picked us up one night during the London Summer Olympics, told us that Usain Bolt had few a fare days before, and told the cabbie to bring his kids down to Puma Yard London for autographs, because they weren't able to tickets to the Track & Field events.
