I have played all tanks to a okay level 20 keys and some upwards, My main is Brewmaster and I will say its the most fun tank out of them all for me, plays much different from the other tanks in the game such a blast pushing keys and getting past 3k rio on it. Just think it needs its tier set tunning a bit more compared to the other tanks. Second has to be prot pally also a lot of fun to play just from the toolkit alone that's insane and throwing hammers is always fun, also you can mog and be like captain America throwing shields.
My insight for tank specs that I have gotten keystone hero this season with for people who care: Blood DK- probably one of the most fun specs out there with out you literally don't even need a healer. Once you can set up a pull where you start with no runic power then you're pretty much unkillable. The big issue is it's utility compared to other tank specs. Vengeance DH- not as fun as building up big absorbs and healing yourself up as Blood Dk but the survivability of vengeance revolves around basic damage mitigation from your abilities. The best part about this spec besides being unkillable during Meta is the usage of your sigils having near-unlimited utility as well as doing slightly less or as much as aoe dps as most dps specs
Warrior is a blast. It doesn’t have the tank utility of other tanks, and it is harder to control mobs in some situations. Yes the DPS part is simple, but one could say the same thing about silencing with sigils and avengers shield / divine toll being “easy” vs warrior when it comes to situational mob control.
Subjective opinion but brewmaster is Stier for me, once muscle memory is down the button bloat is not an issue, and the surprisingly good self healing is a treat on top of the damage. Also it can handle the spirit affixes with paralyze and detox if the group is incompetent, feels so good to be able to do a lot
100% facts; I was new to brewmaster a few weeks ago but after watching a guide and playing around with it in open world/low mythics, it feels amazing! The button bloat doesnt feel like bloat anymore (aside from rushing jade wind) and i love how blackout kick empowers your next ability allowing you to choose which ability should be empowered for that specific moment. Absolute S tier
I love Brew - its a nice spec but I think the tree is like trash: mostly its a decision between DMG or DMG and beeing more tanky as brew costs way to much points which you wont have. Blizz should rework Monk and Hunter next
Blood Dk - Love it Brewmaster - I LOVE THE BLOAT Vengeance - lets me play like a mad man Prot Warrior - Makes me feel helpless Prot Pala - Feel like the pope on steroids Bear - 1,2,3,1,2,3 if you know you know
Brew button bloat solution- spec into Press the Advantage, spec out of rjw and diffuse magic if you want, macro rsk to something else (I macro'd it to purifying brew), done. I do not understand the button bloat thing, brwm has always been a spinning plates tank, high apm. Sure it has more keybinds than protwarr, who doesn't?
I started tanking this season with Brewmaster, I love the staggering mechanic and overall Monk vibes, but after trying Paladin... woww.... Paladins are much easier and fun to play. With brewmaster it takes so much effort for such little reward, it's missing something idk what but hope they do something about it :)
Played every tank except warrior this season in m+, brewmaster is the one that keeps me going in high keys. Didn't think that way at first after coming back to the game, I hated it, but the class feels like a russian nesting doll with more and more layers and I started to love it the most. I need that high skill ceiling stay interested in a class but it's not for everyone. Disagree with the video a little, it's survival that you can really optimise not just damage. Especially with the talents that give you control to push the risk-reward aspect of the class. The only skill I really miss on brew is some form of death grip.
The death and decay procc technically doesn’t give resources (at least not more than usual). It just offsets the fact that a free DnD doesn’t spend a rune, and thus not giving any RP.
Only reason I haven’t made vengeance (besides being new and not knowing about it earlier) is it just doesn’t look like a tank… just hit 70 with DK, monk and vengeance only ones to go. Currently loving the DK, but I’m with you on warrior being so fun. No idea about it being dumbed down, but definitely agree you look like a boss.
Playing blood I feel like a bad ass because I can solo almost anything in the game. Playing prot pally I feel like a badass because I can carry entire groups through dungeons with 50+ interrupts in a single run on top of blessings of freedom and sacrifice and protection and word of glory to throw on my group. Pally also deals with affixes well. Afflicted? Dispell one, heal the other. You can solo that affix. Incorporeal? Turn evil one of them. There’s so much you can do to help your group and carry them through content they are struggling with that you can’t do on other tanks. Brewmaster feels fun because of the mobility but I wish it had more defensives. Also I hate having to sit through stuns. Pally and blood both have a way to get out of stuns, charms, roots.. why doesn’t brewmaster get something like that?
I personally prefer guardian or vengeance Dh. The play styles are pretty mobile and they deal insane damage on top of good defensives and short GCD. Just my personal opinion. Warrior is probably my least fav just because there’s nothing really cool about the class. It does pretty decent damage but other than that I’d pick a different class for tanking
my personal favourite tank is guardian (although not meta at the moment), even if I don't get accepted into keys sometimes - I still have a blast playing bear with the brez and invis :D
Them giving brez with engi is still a bad move. Let’s people have their (more or less) unique utility. Or let them all have everything. Not this wishy washy.
I solo tindral on heroic for my guild and my hp never moves tried soloing fyrakk but the hp actually moves so I had a dps switch to tank lol blood dk is silly

I tanked with bear and prot warrior all xpac. Recently main switched to monk and brewmaster is so much more fun! So much dps and I don’t feel that much bloat honestly, I was comfortable with tanking +15 keys after having only tanked 3 dungeons
You do start to feel the bloat in higher keys. You need to use all of your abilities properly and cohesively to survive while doing damage. +15s this season are not that challenging which is why you could tank them easily after 3 keys.
@@guypoulin6929 imo thats what makes it fun ....for me, having the intricacy of that particular class makes me enjoy it a ton more than just straight up press button to get tanky class
Why, outside of a very few cases in very high fortified keys you never have to look at their frames ever. You can even ignore mit debuff on them to dispel. If they are not reducing healing, the dont matter. Or are you telling me you have fun healing tanks? If your DK tank needs healing he didn’t know how to play.
