How to test Remote Transmitter Led sensor, simple and easy

Hello. I have a Sharp TV with a 75-inch diagonal, model AQUOS_TVE19A. I want to find out how I can make the remote control emit a strong signal regardless of the direction it's pointed in. Previously, the remote worked even when pointed in the opposite direction from the TV, allowing me to change channels or the volume. Now, however, it only works if I point it directly at the TV and I have to get closer to use it. What could be causing this issue and what kind of LED should I use to replace the old LED with a new, more powerful one that allows changing channels from any direction? Thank you

Really useful information. Hint: Can u use another working control instead a 12v+resistor+ ir sensor (i think this is more easy to get).

I can't believe you don't know much more simple way to check light .
The most simple way is to open camera on your smartphone and to watch on led when you push the button .

Excuse me, it is not understood why is the 10k Resistor connected to a 12 Volt battery and another LED & what happens if it is placed near another LED that is connected to the Multimetre?
