I wish I had this when I was 16, thank God I'm restored from all I thought I lost. I got my qualification, working and staying with my 17 year old mjolo consequence😂

We need an advice for alcohol as well, it is easy to get addicted to it at university.

Thank you Prof for this insightful discussion, spoken like a mom/parent. I hope these young ones will listen and do as advised. They believe university is the time to freely explore mojolo, not knowing it can make your varsity life hell if it so happens that you experience heartbreaks and all, especially in your 1st year, the rest of the years will be miserable. There is still more time for it if only they could listen.

Hello Prof. Thanks for the advice to these young human beings. My nephew and I were driving to Menlyn in PTA last year. He tells me - very nonchalantly - that he got his girlfriend pregnant at varsity. The sky turned dark immediately. I could not breathe. I had to pull over to the side of the road. Then he tells me she suspects she is carrying twins. Then he says - although he is worried, he is still looking forward to becoming a proud and responsible dad.... I went silent for a good 10 minutes processing the data, studying his face and just going around in circles in my head. Later I realised that what shocked me more was the realisation at the time that he had no clue about what kind of future was suddenly coming for him. It seems they cant get it - that they are redefining and downgrading their dreams for no reason. We are raising a South African generation that is living in a parallel universe. Anyway thank you.

I am 21 doing my fourth year which is my final year. Still single and waiting for the proper time. It is possible to be single and there is no rush. I somethings feel compelled to date but I am not yet in a good space to do it.

I am grown and I see Mjolo demands too much from a human being.
The mental, emotional and overall energy.

Proff one thing i also noticed is the fact that sometimes fear helps us not to get into things . All my life i have never dated and i told my self that once i set my foot @NWU mahikeng i will start dating . But can i tell u its been 4 mounths as a first year student and i had 3 approaches but guess what Buhle did , i rejected them🤭 all because of fear . Proff as young as i am but am afraid to start new things as i am channeling through becoming an educator.
So for me all things are layed in front of me but not all of them Are good for me as an upcoming pedagogical practitioner

True, females specifically should be careful with this mjolo thing.. if it comes up to your husband one day that wena you were very busy with men in High School/Varsity, best believe you might lose him.. “what happens in the dark always comes to light”🤷🏾‍♂️so college students be careful your actions now don’t catch up to you when you older🤍
