@Spinomania Silver Rath definitely has a more reliable moveset for dishing out damage, unlike Flaming Espinas which realies heavily on it's ultimate. Although, I think this is one of those fights where either can win on a good day.
Just goes to show that you can never fully predict these fights! This one was great, showing how a simple matchup change can completely alter the outcome against our initial expectations!
@GunlessSnake can't agree more, this fight just perfectly sums it up. Silverlos has been underestimated by a lot of people; hoping now it gets a bit more recognition having beat a top tier monster like Flaming
As it's name suggests it's a white colored Espinas with a longer nose horn and even more potent poison fire attacks and it's also super aggressive unlike it's other counterparts with multiple attack combos.
@@MonsterSlayerSquad White Espinas is the rare subspecies of Espinas from frontier being the strongest version aside from Zenith Espinas and Meriganosu. White Espinas has purple flames and extreme poison far above other monsters. White Espinas even had a "turf war" with Orange Espinas where they'd charge into each other causing a massive explosion
Well I didn't expect that, guess getting matched up against Seething on it's first round really skewed my perception of Silver's abilities, and the higher health definitely gave it an edge, but defeating Flaming is quite impressive, the exchange of nukes at the end was spectacular.
Another amazing fight. Loved how Espinas stunlocking Rathalos balanced out with the pure damage Rath was dealing. That poison at the end came in kinda clutch
The silver rathalos vs the Flaming Espinas is by far the most BRUTAL fights ive seen and the closest. The espinas maybe be more on stronger attacks, but the silver rathalos has a advantage of well coordinated attacks. And the silver's hellfire is what made the rath win.
Damn Silver's nuke does so much damage to monsters, the small explosions combined with the big one do so much, getting cornered by it is alot of trouble
Nice man! That was a close one. SR just has more health with lighter, but more consistent damage and an enraged state that occurs more often. FE's slower but hits so hard. His poison and fire blights did a ton of damage plus his supernova hits like a freight train.
@Ryan Wilson Thanks so much. I think you put it nicely. Bot of them have the firepower, now it just depends on who can dish out more damage quicker. Silver managed to do it this time.
I saw the fight yesterday and couldn't believe Silver Rath took the cake on this one. Flaming Espinas however is no joke U most definitely need more subs
@MICHAEL CRUTCHER Thanks for the kind words. Silver rathalos defo got a bad rep after losing in the first round of the tournament. But I think it was unlucky to be matched against seething bazel, or else it could have gotten much further.
If this Silver Rathalos had been all about ranged aerial attacks(like the one always in that zero faint online join with an underlevelled random hunt) the fight wouldn't have been such a close call, Flaming Espinas has a tick shell and deceptively fast. This fight goes to show how nasty that true dragon flame fire-breath is.
@Kitten Tactical Warfare I imagine a real encounter would probabley be hard to call between these two. They both have the fire power and defensive capabilities to really push eachother. Maybe the rare species of espinas would be a fair matchup against silverlos.
@Darthplagueis13 The matel raths have a lot of HP, whilst Espinas has a lot of defense; which kind a evens things out. But Silver rath has that mutli hit fire breath, that deals just absurd damage.
This was such a close fight from start to finish, both monsters being able to burn and poison each other as well as having fiery nukes 😂 I never thought Flaming Espinas would lose a fight, Silver is the true king of the skies 😎
@Caligula 300 it was nice to see two monsters with similar abilities going head to head. Silverlos proved a lot of people wrong and gave such a close fight
Hot damn!! It really is a mark of strength for silver to have taken down flaming. It certainly wasn’t easy tho and if Flaming super had knocked silver down the ending could’ve been different
Damn Espinas just wouldnt let him move. Why is this colossal Tank so damn Agil? But in excange, Silverloses blue Fire did a ton of Damage, even outperforming Espinas Nuke. Very hard fought Battle, where anyone could imideatly take the Lead, and super close End.
@Sunae i think a lot of people aren't aware that silverlos has some pretty broken moves in these monster vs monster deathmatches. But it was so close; could have been anyones game
@@MonsterSlayerSquad definitely a case of bad first impression, if I remember correctly silverlos' first match was a loss against a bugged Seething with equalised health, considering that at that point a lot of people voted against Seething that loss had a big impact. Ironically the same happened to Bazel, one bad match against Violet Misutsune made a lot of people think that it was pretty bad in MvM.
@@MonsterSlayerSquad ehhh, thats pushing it While they are really fun and epic and cool They are just a very tiny bit to easy Silver Los, especially as displayed in this video, just doesnt fly as much as he does in the older games Still love fighting them even tho they will always be among the few arch nemesis’s that i have in mh lol

@Im the Catman After the tournament it definitely feels like it happened, but it actually hasn't happened before. Silver probabley deserved this victory; but I prefer flaming just a tad more overall.
I feel like Silver was only able to win due to its health advantage. But all in all, AMAZING FIGHT! Flaming tried to counter with his super, but Silver destroyed him with his own. I'd love to see more of the elder tornument rematches but with proportional health, as this one was AWESOME!
Ahhhh man my poor boi espi lost but he put up a good fight regardless, I’m sure it would’ve been more evenly matched if his rare species were here. Just shows how vastly different the outcome would’ve been if the monsters were switched around, I definitely want to see seething against scorned now, as well as other monsters that never got to face one another in the original match.
I was wondering, can you do a fight between Thunder Serpent Narwa (Advanced Quest stats) versus either normal stat Master Rank Malzeno, or normal stat Master Rank Magnamalo? I just want to see how well she would perform against a regular Master Rank monster. Since you did bring Arch-Tempered Xeno'jiiva a High Rank monster against Safi'jiiva and it won. So I'm interested to see if you can do that kind of fight again for once. After all, just like Xeno'jiiva, Thunder Serpent Narwa is also a monster that is forever locked in High Rank.
Oh and also I'm curious to see if Thunder Serpent Narwa's tail slam also have guaranteed knock down effect to smaller monsters just like Narwa the Allmother's or not at all.

silver rathalos really taught him how to spit fire properly 😂

Three reasons why Espinas lost 1) He gets fire status more often 2) He gets knocked down more often 3) Difference in health
