I see both of you have said something true. I also think the word intelligent is used too often to compare people from different places. We grew up hearing it as an undeserved comparison word in our institutionally and outdatedly biased schools after all. Intelligence is not something you can attribute to a people or judge from across the room.

@@rabiabeke8637 u got it wrong cus arab is not a race ,arabic itself is a language that has roots from African languages like Amharic from Ethiopia and other languages of somali ,most arabs are muslims and believe in Muhammad and Muhammad is a black man from lybia all those parts were originally inhabited by black nations only and the major religions on this world(christianity, islam and judaism)are all rooted in Africans belief, and Sudan is one of the oldest empire so nop they are not influenced by arabs but rather arabs are influenced by sudanese cultures and yes arab is not a race it is simply a name given to those who speak arabic and since arabic originated from Africa yes they are black people who are arabs because they speak arabic or other languages in which arabic originated.

The tea is called sorrel in Trinidad and Tobago. We drink it as a cold drink. I drink it as a tea also. We also eat cou cou, calaloo with fish which is similar to the swallow dish and okra.

I am not from South Soudan but i do believe that green slimy veggies is called molokhia aka palava (liberia) ademe(togo) ewedu(nigeria) jute leaves lalo(haiti), ninuwi(Benin country). The leaves are originated in Ancient Egypt and now can be found pretty much evrywhere in west africa and east africa. Correct me if am wrong.

The cooking stick she was trying to explain I think is *Okoho* very popular with Benue ppl in Nigeria.. which is slimy when cooked and comes out like okra soup.
Brown looks lik amala, the white looks lik tuwo.
Meanwhile the greenish soup looks like miyan zogale.
It's a groundnut based soup prepared with moringa leaves locally known as Zogale in Hausa language, gyada “roasted groundnuts”, peppers, tomatoes and a host of other ingredients.

South Sudanese never think about two countries since the beginning of civil war, however, our brothers/sisters from North always put identity and religion over Sudan as a nation. South Sudanese believed that we all Sudanese and that is what matter. After all, yes we will always be Sudanese.

Some people still think pyramids only exists in Egypt, but that's not the case. The location may be far from the city, but it will be worth it. Keep up the good work, the Ancestors are watching.

@@salihalash4111 Yes, in a sense, you're correct in the context of Wode Maya's "current" location. However, I was referring to the location (as Southern) as if the country was never divided. To me, the current demarcation is nothing but an artificial construct - please don't let it divide us. It is also well to point out that the Northern part of Africa is actually South (and vice-versa), the map itself has been turned upside down to create confusion. The Nile, from its source, actually flows from the North to South, not the other-way-round. Egypt, for example, is actually located in Southern point of Africa, not Northern. Hope I've not opened a Pandora's box!😂

Brown ugali is from soghurm visit Botswana and you find it Maya.Pap/ ugali is from white maize meal. The foods there are very similar to ours here. The green okra is very nice and also dried too.

We have that same drink in Jamaica. It's called Sorrel. Some people add alcohol. We drink it cold with ice.
